I had Roto Rooter out this past Sunday because my main drain was backed up to the point where water was backing up into my basement and garage. When the guy from Roto Rooter came out he attempted to snake the drain, told us that it was too backed up to do anything about, and then proceeded to tell me that my driveway would have to be dug up for the pipe to be replaced. He told me that it would be 5200 to repair, looked at me and my boyfriend, and asked us how we wanted to proceed so he could get it scheduled. Obviously we wanted a second opinion.

I called Jerry on Monday and scheduled time for him to come out on Wednesday morning. He brought a much better machine, hooked it all up and in what seemed like no time at all he said that it felt like the blockage was cleared. He then went to the different drains in the basement and garage and put a hose down them to clear the gunk that had backed up as a result of the main line. Flushed toilets (and fixed the one in the basement that wasn't working!!), had me run a load of laundry, we ran water from the bathroom upstairs etc., all so that he felt confident that our problem was resolved.

On top of all that, Jerry was probably one of the nicest, most personable people that I've ever had out to perform repairs at my home. I would recommend him to anyone! I felt comfortable with his work, would trust his word, and put all my plumbing needs in his hands. He could have easily told me that there was a bigger issue like RR had said, quoted me a lower price than 5200, and i would have been none the wiser and thought great, i saved some money at least. But he didn't, instead he helped us out and got us fixed for barely a fraction of what we were initially told.

First of all folks I'm not even from Pittsburgh, but we are visiting some friends in the area. Found the site and called when my friends toilet went all nasty. Not the thing to have happen when you have guests over for the week. My friend made the call and they showed up super fast. Tried to help contain the mess before it got way out of hand (OMG that was nasty- those people have iron stomachs for sure). These guys were so professional - and they did an awesome job. They ended up having to take the whole toilet up to get a diaper out of the toilet that swelled up half way down the pipe. They cleaned up the job (too bad she couldn't convince them to do the floors while they were there) and were super friendly and professional. This is honestly my first review. I figured a business that went that far out of their way was worth doing a review. Thank you Pittsburgh Plumbing!

I recently hired Orion as my usual plumber was too booked but he recommended using them. Our 100 yr+ plus old cast iron stack pipe finally cracked and leaked. Orion came same day as called for an estimate and review, and was back the following morning to do all the necessary work, and didnt leave until completed, tested, and cleaned up afterwards. Service was affordable compared to more widely advertised plumbers, with all work satisfactorily done, with any emerging issues explained and resolved - you start working on a house like ours, you're gonna encounter things you didn't expect. Highly recommended and would use again!

I had a leak on a hot water pipe near the hot water heater(that I installed). It was a bad soldering job(my soldering job) in a tight spot near the floor joists and some furnace ducting. I did not trust my ability to sweat the pipes in such a tight space so I called Chris at All-Pro Pittsburgh Backflow. Chris showed up right on time. In about 30 minutes, Chris untangled my mess of copper and re-plumbed my hot water heater. I like to do my own repairs, but sometimes you just have to call the professionals. It looks great too! About 2 years ago I had these guys out to change the old pipes under the bathroom floor. After the work was done the toilet was still leaking granted a smaller amount but still leaking. When I called about it the basically caused me out. Blamed the problem on me. Because I did not let them replace the whole system costing me thousands of dollars. I jut had a guy out to terrace the toilet because it is loose on the bottom and leaking badly. This company broke the flange when putting the toilet down. Instead of fixing it use plummers putty to fill in and hold the bolt down. Then put 3 wax rings to cover up what they did. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE

I could not be happier!!!! Gillece quoted us for $10,000+ for a project. I got a second opinion from Mike at McVay and, if it needed done, it'd be no more than $1800. Mike was awesome. He didn't try to convince me we needed something we didn't. No charge either. I look forward to using them in the future for other projects!!!!

I came home to find water in my basement from a leaky pipe. I used Google to find a local plumber and chose Pittsburgh's Best Plumbing based on the ratings. The woman who answered the phone was polite and helpful. Todd showed up within an hour of me calling and fixed the problem quickly. He was very polite, explained everything to me and made sure I understood what he had done. I recommend Pittsburgh's Best Plumbing and will use them again. Thank you!

We received 4 inches of rain in two days and my basement floor drain clogged. Our 120 year old basement usually takes on some water during heavy rain and it's usually not a big deal because the floor is intentionally sloped toward the center drain, but because of the clog it started to pool and became a few inches deep.

Bob from the Brookline Plumber was able to make a service call the same morning I called and professionally solved the problem and cleaned out the drain and trap. Reasonably priced, too. Would use again and recommend.

Called to set up an appointment, got one and the lady that helped me was nice. There was no issue with our location. Had to cancel due to a family medical issue. Called back to reschedule. I was met with a totally rude attitude from the female that answered the phone. She told me they didn't come out to our area. So... The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because of the first encounter. I called another plumber. Thanks to the call to reschedule, they lost a $700 call.

Zoom Drain from Pittsburgh, PA, is a fantastic plumbing service. In light of an emergency, they were able to send a plumbing technician out within the hour. I found this service on Google and was able to set up a quick service appointment via text, which can also be done by phone. Everybody knows how stressful a plumbing situation can be, and many times, it can be very costly. Zoom Drain was able to work with me in terms of financing as I was in a bind. They made a call to their office, and I explained my needs; they worked with me to split the cost. Not only was that excellent customer service, but their quality of work was great. They were able to identify my issues and gave me some pointers on how to mitigate future problems. I'm thankful I was able to get this fixed today, and it has substantially reduced my stress. We called for a hot water tank inspection as well as water hammering with our pipes. Tony was our tech and he was knowledgeable and helpful. He also showed us some things to look for when looking over our hot water tank and made some recommendations to think about. Overall happy with the service.

This plumber is a scam. He did a scope for a house I was in contract with, I called him to get the information. I left him several messages all which were not returned. Finally he texted me saying the sewer lines were in good condition. At this point I did not believe him so I had another plumbing company come do a scope which I paid for. They told me the inside sewer lines were horrible and would cause a back up if not fixed. This first due plumber has no idea what he’s talking about. Probably friends with the seller of the house. All in all had a very bad experience with this guy.
10/10 do not recommend.
