Best Shower Drain in Minneapolis MN

Called in the morning, had my repair (and not a simple repair!) done by the early afternoon. David was our guy, and he was so good in every way. Can't recommend TJK enough!!

We had MN Plumbing and Heating out to our home to fix a leaky shower a couple of years ago. The price was reasonable, and the service was excellent so we didn't hesitate to call them again last week when we needed a leaky pipe fixed in our basement. This was a completely different experience. We were told it would be $50 (non-refundable) to come to our home to get an estimate, but we didn't think that would be a problem with our great experience with them in the past. This time, after looking at the problem I was told it would be $614 to fix. I asked why it was so much, and the technician said they are under new ownership (a member of the Genz Ryan Family), and This is the boss's price. Plus everything is expensive these days. It needed a 1 inch ball valve, and apparently they are very expensive. I asked him how long it would take to fix, and he said about an hour. If I didn't agree to the price right then, I would be out $50 and have no idea how much another company would charge. Plus we needed the problem taken care of so I agreed to have it done. We also couldn't get a straight answer from the company when we called to ask the price of the part, just that they had my signature so I agreed to the price, which I find very unprofessional and condescending. I should be able to know what I'm paying for. I have a bad taste in my mouth from this experience this time, and can't help but feeling ripped off. They did get the job done, but due to the cost instead of being the first ones we call next time, they will be the last.

Kind, considerate and great communicators! We had a broken pipe due to the extreme weather conditions and were scrambling to find help. Jake’s was able to squeeze us in due to a cancellation and was the best “first responder” we could have asked for. Our technician was fantastic and went above and beyond by assisting arranging water removal. This unexpected kindness made our mini crisis much more manageable. Thank you SO much!

This company is fantastic. We had previously received a quote from Roto Rooters regarding a stack clean-out install, which Roto had claimed would cost us $2-5,000 to fix. We were smart enough to get a second opinion, and I'm so glad we contacted Norblom. They were very accommodating over the phone, and when the technician came he was straight to the point. John came out to my house in Edina several times to make sure we got all the correct information before starting the job. He was excellent to work with and very professional through every step of the process. We added a new master bathroom and replaced our old water heater with a new eternal tankless water heater. The work is great quality and John was willing to answer any questions we had along the way.

My wife and I just moved into our first home. I went to replace the shower head in the master bathroom and the whole arm came off. I tried calling three other plumbers only to get voicemails and haven't yet heard back from two. John answered right away and was at our house within 30 minutes of answering and had us back up and running one hour after I called him. Will absolutely keep using John's services!

2017 I did Phase I of a big renovation and spent 19K with Steinkraus and when I got the bill I asked for back up documentation to support the invoice and was given the run around and an answer well we aren't the cheapest plumbers and we need to cover overhead. When we started Phase II we really like the plumber and thought let's give them a second try and asked for another person to be our contact. They sent the owner Merle and he did a bid which we signed but stated we were concerned that some of Phase III might be included but were told don't worry we will be fair and take care of you. When I got the 17K bill I had kept track of all the hours. I am about 5K in the dark how they came up with the total and they refuse to itemize the invoice. My advise is if you work with them it is time and materials and you ask for documentation. The time spent on site for Ryan was a total of 67 x $135.00 = $9045.00 plus $1000.00 Material plus fixtures $2440.00 =$12, 485.00. Even if you added on a 20% management fee it still would be below the $17,210.00 invoice I received. So basically they charged me $205.00 an hour? I just wish they felt the need to walk me through all the charges but they have no interest. The good news we think our plumber was great just not the front office. The bad news is we have Phase III and can't use them. 5 Stars for plumbing!

Fast service, good work, fair price. Ive used them 3 times now, all 3 times have been a good experience.
