I needed a plumber for a backed up sewer drain. I called Dave and left a message. I called another plumbing service with good ratings and setup an appointment with them. Dave (or i think it was Dave) called me back shortly after I explained I already booked with an other company. He asked about the rate and when I told him the rate and other company. He assured me they do good work at a great price. Seems super professional to speak well of his competition I'll definitely call Dave in the future if I have plumbing needs.

I called Alpine Plumbing to address an uncontrollable leak from an old outdoor hose bibb. I was prepared to be told the bibb would need to be replaced, which would have been an invasive job that would have also left me repairing exterior siding and basement drywall. I was put in contact with Jody who asked for a video of the leak and quickly diagnosed the issue upon receipt. He walked me through a very simple solution over the phone that completely fixed the leak. He saved me time, money, and the misery of stressing over a messy job. After over 17+ years of using this company, I couldn't believe that they would gouge me. Last year's experience did it for me. They will never be in my home again.

Simple kitchen faucet replacement. For the faucet, they charge me 100% more than what I could have gotten on Amazon. And I'm sure that wasn't even their parts cost.

That was on top of their padding the labor hours for trip charges. And of course, in all of those past years, I have noticed how their labor hour cost have gone up significantly.

My advise. Shop around. I feel gouged.
