I called Quest Home Services to come look at my water heater that wasn’t working properly. I explained to the lady that answered the phone that my wife and I just had a new baby and we needed the hot water to work as soon as possible. The lady on the phone made sure a Tech was available right away. Steve came to my home and gave me several options on repairing or replacing my water heater. Great customer service and very knowledgeable. I went with the replacement cause it made sense. Thank you Quest Home Services, I will definitely call you guys again for future needs.

The condenser in my A/C unit started started having an issue where it would cycle on and off repeatedly. After a restart, it ran just fine, but after a few hours the cycling would start .

I arranged to have Service All Stars come out to look at it. Their technician, Joshua, arrived and the first thing he point out was that my condensation pan was full of water. He immediately made the determination that I had a refrigerant leak, and the solution was to replace my entire unit for $8K. Short of that, he recommended I add refrigerant and a sealing gas, and enroll in their service plan, all for $1400. He never questioned why there was standing water in the pan, didn’t perform any testing or diagnostics, didn’t check the levels of the refrigerant before claiming that I needed more, and didn't measure the temperature of the air going in and coming out of the unit. Feeling uneasy, I opted for just adding some refrigerant for $475 and hoped for the best.

He watched me empty the condensation pan myself, apparently un-phased by the fact it wasn’t draining on its own. When I finished, he added a squirt of refrigerant (literally), turned on the unit, and then released some refrigerant. I attempted to take pictures but he became very uncomfortable, saying I didn't need to take pictures, and that he had a problem with people looking over his shoulder or getting too close. He said I would get full documentation after his visit by email anyway, which I never did.

At that point, the unit seemed to be working fine so he wrote up an invoice and I paid. Before he left, he asked me to review him on Yelp while he waited. I did not.

Several hours after he left the unit fell into exactly the same behavior as before. I noticed that the condensation pan was full of water again, and then it hit me - why wasn’t it draining? Was it clogged? Was *that* causing my issues? Luckily, I was able to clear the drain myself, and the unit has been working perfectly ever since. The condensation pan has remained empty as well.

In the end, I was charged for something I didn’t need, and I diagnosed and fixed the real problem myself.

The next morning, I called and gave the company a chance to make things right. Instead of apologizing or admitting any error, the owner defended their work and explained that they don’t need to test equipment. He claimed they have so much experience they can look at equipment and immediately determine what's wrong with it and whether or not it needs to be replaced. This, after learning his tech couldn't even properly diagnose a clogged drain.

WOW! It's nice to have a company still value customers. I reached to Golden State Water Heaters because my water heater went out. I called the number posted and Wade answered immediately! He said he could stop by the following day, and he was on time, which was nice. I ended up having my old water heater in the garage taken out and having a new tankless water heater installed outside. At first I was worried there would be a lot of work needed to be done, but Wade made the install seem so easy and hassle free. I went from having no hot water one day, to having endless hot water the following day!

I recently bought a historic home with a 40+ year old gravity floor furnace. I wasn't able to light the pilot this winter (it's difficult to see and reach) and called the insurance company. Two contractors they sent told me the furnace was not repairable and had to be replaced with new heating systems. I wasn't satisfied with their answers to my questions, so I found Schilling online and called them. Scott came out and lit my pilot, crawled under the house to examine the entire system, and gave me an estimate to clean and refurbish the furnace-which is all it needs, to last another 40 to 50 years. He took his time to explain everything to me so I understood his recommendations. Great experience and service!

Miguel and his crew did a fantastic job repiping all of our water supply pipes with Uponor pex (2.5 bathroom + kitchen/laundry), replacing our hose bibs & a shower head, as well as repairing the damaged drywall / stucco. Even our city inspector admired their plumbing work. I highly recommend them.

One month ago I had my biggest nightmare so far as a home owner - the ghostly sound of water moving through the pipes with no faucets open. Through experimentation I isolated the leak to a hot water pipe. The worst news came from a leak finder service -the leak was in the concrete slab. All options were bad - reroute one pipe through several rooms/outside, break open the floor and jackhammer the foundation, or reroute all of our pipes. Our house is only 30 years old and has all copper pipes but, given there had been a previous leak in our home as well as our neighbor's identical home, we decided to go with a whole home repiping.

I got 5 quotes for repiping and I chose Miguel because:
- High attention to detail, such as finding pipe routes / other small details that would minimize home damage and determining supplies and methods used (pipes, pipe sizing, connectors, hose bibs) that would set us up well for the long term. He backs this up with a lifetime workmanship guarantee.

IMO, when you're doing major house surgery, you have to trust the person you're working with as you just can't be on top of 100% of what's happening. Miguel wasn't the cheapest quote, but there were good reasons for that and he worked with me on the price.

For the job itself, Miguel was there every day. It took 2 days (day 1 repiping, day 2 drywall) as well as a couple of small visits for permits. Both crews were able to accommodate my small requests as they came up day of around plumbing and patching. The pictures below show the care Miguel & team took with my home (see the ET-like covering of everything with plastic), the quality supplies they used, as well as the excellence of the finished job both in plumbing and drywall. The city inspector was pleased with the work and signed off immediately.

All of my water fixtures are now working perfectly and the drywall is an exact match for the texture of the existing walls. Now just to get some paint and finish up! I am so happy this nightmare has come to an end.

I called Sal's Plumbing because of the great reviews. I worked with one of their plumbers who was unprofessional, unreliable and rescheduled the follow-up appointment to make the repairs more than 4 times over 7 days and never came back to fix the problems or presented an alternative solution. This was completely unacceptable and certainly not what I expected from this business.

The owner & his crew are the best in their field. Being a property manager of over 100 units spread throughout San Gabriel Valley, I have dealt with my share of incompetent plumbers. Streamline, on the other hand, is a cut above the rest. Streamline repiped my job within a day, and patched up neatly on another day. The crew is very professional, very friendly & considerate, and very clean! I had one minor issue, which most plumbers would have ignored or dismissed, but not Streamline. The owner was extremely responsive and resolved the issue ASAP. A second issue arose, and the owner quickly sent someone out to investigate, only to discover a major water meter leak in the street, which the City had to repair. Streamline's attention to customer's needs and service is second to none! I have finally found a reliable plumber for all my future repiping jobs, and other plumbing needs.

My technician Santiago Llamas was superb. He was on time, professional, and courteous. He explained ever aspect of the service that he would be performing. When he accessed the issue with the repair, he explained all my options with clarity and compassion. The entire staff was a delight to work with from the receptionist, to the dispatcher to the service technician they made the experience great!
