Sal's plumbing was quick to respond to our request to fix the leak in our bathroom sink. Thomas was very kind and was very qualified to identify and fix the 3-part issue we had on one single sink. The only reason why I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because he didn't have a dispatch team that was able to keep him on time for our appointment. Luckily, he was still able to finish the work in the time we needed him to, but he was late to our appointment.

Made the mistake of using these guys twice. DISHONEST, incompetent, and disrespectful. Beware of Gus. He is incredibly rude, he went to the wrong house and then yelled at my nanny for not being home, even though I was there waiting for him the whole time. He also lied about the price he quoted me. At first he said $300, then said $350, and tried to pretend that he never told me $300 in the first place. The guys are incompetent, in the process of unclogging my sink they broke a pipe, water was spilling everywhere on my hard wood floors and they did nothing about it until I begged them to wipe it up. Completely disrespectful to women and our home. I will NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. Owner was aware of everything and did nothing. Quality of service is horrible, there are a million plumbers out there, I'll never put myself through their ringer again.

My kitchen sink was backing up and so I called 2 companies. Rooter Hero had a deal going on so I had them come out. When they got here, they said I had 2 issues and wouldn't go through the trap on the outside of the house because he was nervous it would break. Their quote was $426.
My neighbor had me call Sal's and Thomas came out that same day. Thomas knew exactly what to do and didn't see any issue with the bathroom, like Rooter Hero's did (an added $142).

Thomas was honest and didn't give me any BS. He did his magic and was on his way in less than an hour for $200 less. I had asked about another reputable company that services the south bay and Thomas said they were also a great company that even tried to recruit him before. He said he wouldn't leave Sal's because he was a great boss who always supplies them with the tools they need. I'm sold, Sal's will be my plumbers from now on. Thank you, Thomas!!

Our shower drain was clogged and Sal's sent out Fernando to service it. He was on time, professional, respectful and went to work immediately. When he was having trouble snaking it, he went under the house to find the problem. Ultimately, our landlord decided to do the necessary repairs himself, but I would highly recommend Sal's to anyone. Ferando was so polite and helpful and insisted on cleaning the bathroom floor (like, real cleaning, not just wiping up the spilled water!). Great service.

Water backing into the house, a clogged drain? Called Monday morning, and Sal's responded immediately arriving before 8:30 AM. Nick was the true professional. Trying to clear the clog, the problem ballooned. Nick walked through each step along the way, layed out any and all the options (didn't mind repeating himself some as i asked questions) Sal's crew led by Nick was prepared as the basic clog turned into a need to jackhammer a hole in my driveway, dig 10-12 feet down, cut into the sewer line and ultimately cleaning and repairing everything (including my driveway).

Not a pleasant problem, but having a professional lead and courteous support staff to respond and ensure I had the best information for every hard decision. Ultimately it is a problem that needs to be fixed, and the people a Sal's Plumbing will guide you through their best recommendations and alternatives. I made the right call, but said I would have moved on to whoever could come out fastest (when you need a plumber, you NEED a plumber) and Sal's not only didn't disappoint they delighted this customer. Thank you Nick, and all the workers that got called in to help.

I had a bathroom and laundry room back up due to the degradation of old cast iron pipes, and Eric from Sal's was able to come out the same day to clear the clog and help diagnose the root cause of the issue. We ended up getting all the pipes for that corner of the house replaced with modern ABS to prevent future issues. Eric was helpful in addressing other issues related to the plumbing, and when the initial plan for resolving the clogging resulted in needing to re-route pipes, Eric helped me understand the issues and included several fixes for free, including a new laundry sink and new toilet. I'm very pleased with the work Eric and his team did, and will use Sal's again in the future.

These guys are great and super efficient! They came out and fixed a leak under my house. They're open late, so I was able to get some good advice over the phone when I found the leak, then they were out the next morning to take care of it. Great customer service!

My mother in law had a mainline stoppage and they came out and cleared it for a very reasonable price. They didn't try to up sell anything, they saw our situation and provided a solution. I'm glad I called them and I will absolutely use them in the future. You can tell they care about their customers and repeat business, unlike most of the bigger plumbing shops out here

Our pipe was severely clogged with rice but Thomas helped unclog it and cleaned up the mess afterwards. He had a lot of integrity as he worked and refuded to accept the sprite until he was able to fix the pipe. We appreciated Thomas' work a lot and the service from Sal's.

Sal’s plumbing is the best! We got a slab leak. No need to say that it was a nightmare to sit without water and restroom for several days. As pipes were quite old, repiping was recommended. I quoted several companies. Sadly none of them had either a clear vision on how to do repiping, or how long it would take, or how much it would finally cost. Luckily, I found Sal's plumbing, and it turned out to be the best plumbing company we ever had. I was very impressed with their performance and professionalism. My first appreciation is for Raime who clearly explained the stages of repiping and what to expect. He was always on time and took great care keeping everything organized and clean though it was extremely dusty due to plenty of open ceiling and walls. The crew of five guys worked outstandingly well. I have plenty of appreciation for Raime and everyone who helped us to get water back! Thank you guys! You are the best!!!

Even though I told them my problem was NOT an emergency, they got someone there the same day and accommodated my schedule. Gino was polite and friendly enough without being too forward, and got things done fast enough without acting rushed. He didn't seem to mind my questions and really seemed to know what he was doing.
Price wasn't cheap, but seemed fair, and was exactly what he said after looking things over.

Do not use this plumbing company they tried to charge me 250 to clear a toilet clog.

Thomas came out promptly to fix a clogged kitchen sink, diagnosed and explained thoroughly both the short term and long term solutions (with no pressure to commit), and fixed the problem with ease. I will continue to use Sals Plumbing for any future issues.

Had a leaky water main. Caused some damage and flooding they immediately called a resoration crew Voge and those guys were awesome. We've had Sal's do some minor work too. Shout outs to Wilson, Martin and Juan from Voge. Will be doing business with them again.

I called early this morning to have our toilet fix and they promised to come around 10am-12pm.Surely, a guy name Thomas (one of their plumbers) just before 12 came and help us out. He was very nice and went straight to work and in no time fixes our toilet.He also went to check our pipes and gaves us suggestions how we can avoid similar problems in the future. If you consider using Sal's, watch your wallet. Charged $2,300 for replacing toilet flange, 1 elbow and about 2 feet of pipe. Plumbing time for one man-2 hours, plus 2 hours getting the parts. Not an emergency, but I was in a time crunch and they knew they could get away with this. NEVER again.

What can I say about Sal's Plumbing Company Inc? Well, they saved the day! I had an emergency as plumbing issues always are and gave them a call. The plumber was here within an hour, fixed the problem and we were all on our way. Knock on wood, next time I have plumbing problems, I'm calling Sal's Plumbing and have already recommended them to friends.

Called Sal's Plumbing about our tub and shower drain clog around 4;00pm and was schedule for the plumbing repair today, between 5pm to 7pm. Thomas and his assistant arrived at 5:45pm, inspected and explained the repairs, then cleared out the drain within 20 minutes. They were very professional, efficient and courteous. We will definitely use Sal's again!

Called Sal's - not for the first time, nor will it be the last. We needed a corroded refrigerator valve replaced in order to install a new refrigerator. Gaspar and his assistant arrived on time, identified the part(s) needed, returned promptly and made the change over, which required some first aid to the copper pipes, as well. A-1 service. My bathtub drain was backing up. I contacted Sal's on Sunday evening and someone came out the next morning. Thomas worked for a few hours to get the line cleared. He was very helpful and made every effort to clear the line so the job could be completed. The cost was very fair. I would recommend Sal's Plumbing to anyone I know that needs plumbing help.

Thomas has been my go to guy when it comes to my plumbing issues. This is the second time he came to my house. I called their office and asked for him and he came right away. Thomas came out to our house on Saturday September 25th to unclog the drain for the laundry room. He worked effectively and efficiently, wore booties on his shoes to protect the floor, verified that the job was done correctly, and cleaned up when he finished. Great job.

Called for service, I was told it would be between 3 pm and 5 pm. The serviceman arrived at 3:20 pm. Serviceman was very friendly, explained everything. For a Sunday call out, the charge was a lot less than I expected. I would highly recommend Sal's for any plumbing needs!

Wow! What great service! These guys really know what they are doing. I had a huge leak under my house of course it was around 10 pm when I discovered the problem. I was frantic because it sounded like a A LOT of water. I called Sal's and they actually answered the phone and within 20-30 min I had a plumber at my door. To make a long story short they fixed everything and I was in bed by midnight and they didn't charge me an arm and a leg. I recommend Sal's!

The owner is rude. Called them to schedule a hydro jet that is supposed to be included in the service that they did 3 months ago since my kitchen sink was clogged. I called another plumber to come out because I was not completely satisfied with their customer service. Now they are saying they can only come out if the drain was not working . Bunch of BS. So dishonest. Pricey, too. Do not ever recommend this company.

Randy came out to help us with our hot water heater. Pilot light went out and just wouldn't relight. Within 10 minutes he had it restarted and was on his way.
He showed up within an hour of us calling and which was exactly when he estimated his arrival.

Terrible customer service!! I called for someone to come out today and was told the technician would arrive between 4 and 6pm. I get a phone call after 6pm telling me they just got my call a few minutes ago (LIAR) and would have to charge me an after hours fee if they came now. How about just saying I don't wanna come today but I can come tomorrow and an apology for wasting my damn time. I'm so freaking annoyed! They don't deserve a one star but I had no choice.

Make sure you ask them what they charge first. Charged $100 for a 10 min fix.

I will not use their services in the future nor do I recommend them to others.

I called Sal's yesterday to request that my storm drain be hydrojetted again. They offered to do the work the following day (today) however, they quoted a 50% higher fee than last time which was actually less than 2 years ago (3/9/2020). Given that this is a repeat job and is ridiculously easy I was disappointed that the service cost had risen by 50% to $750.

They arrived on time at 12 noon and had the proper equipment however, when I was discussing cleaning 2 very short (<25 ft) drain runs in the back, Nick the supervisor quoted me $1200 for the job!! An additional $450 above the already 50% higher charge for the main storm drain cleaning. His attitude was poor at best - telling me You can get other quotes knowing full well that his quote was ridiculous and capricious. I told him that I would skip cleaning the 2 additional short runs and then he told me that he was no longer interested in doing any work!! I said that I was willing to pay the $750 for the main drains as quoted by the office and after a moment he reconsidered and decided to do the primary job for which I had requested service.

After they filled the hydrojet water tank from my hose (which took 20 minutes) they proceeded to the alley to clean the main storm drains. Nick divided his attention from watching the World Cup soccer matches on his phone, running the hydroket machine and directing his 2 helpers.

The machine ran out of water before the 2nd storm drain had been completely cleaned and Nick declared that it was good enough. The time was about 1:10 pm - 70 minutes after they arrived.

He returned to my house, ran water from my hose down one drain and confirmed that water was running out of the storm drain with one of his helpers. The drains were never fully clogged - so hose water ran through without trouble before the cleaning and proved little after the cleaning.

He then presented the bill and I paid it.

That was $750 for exactly 40 minutes of actual work which translates to a rate of $1125/hr!! I understand inflation but this was usury and inconsiderate given the simplicity of the job that he had performed less than 2 years ago.

To say that I was disappointed would be an understatement. I called his company again for repeat business given the good experience I had with Nick for the last cleaning. Now, I felt disrespected and abused. Today, I had little choice but to allow him to perform the service when they arrived since it had already been scheduled and it was due to rain tomorrow. I had not expected to be made to feel like I was bothering him and interrupting his ability to watch the world cup.

On my review for their service on 3/9/2020 I rated Sal's 5 stars and applauded their professionalism and service. Nick did the previous job but today he was gruff and it was not the same effort or professionalism that I experienced the first time and I was left to feel taken advantage of and abused.

I will not call them again for service nor will I recommend them to anyone else.

These guys know are amazing to work with. Thomas and Marvin came to my house to help our with our plumbing and they really took their time and explain everything well. They are both professional and courtesy. I would recommend them to my own family. They are honest and not try to haggle with you and try to sell you their services.

Sal’s was amazing from when we placed the call to when they arrived and fixed a leaky pipe. Nick did a great job and I strongly recommend him to anyone!

I needed to replace the garbage disposal so I called Sal's Plumbing and the lady who answered the phone gave me an estimate of $150 if I provide a unit. So I purchased one and the next day a service man came and he told me the minimum he can do is for $300+. I told the guy that I got an estimate from the lady at the office and he said the lady has never replaced garbage disposals before so she has no idea. So I cancel the job. What kind of business practice is this?

After reading Sal's reply I thought I need to clarify few things because some are incorrect statements.
Reading so many good reviews I had a pretty high expectation from this vendor but my experience didn't turn out that to be true. I am only talking about one plumber who came out to my place. Here are the facts, nothing added, deleted, or changed.
1. I called Sal's Plumbing for garbage disposal replacement job. Katie answered the phone and her quote was $325 ~ $475+. Katie was kind enough to give us a money saving tip. We provide a disposal the installment price will be $150, plus small amount added if any of surrounding parts need to be changed. I agreed.
2. Dave, the plumber, came on Saturday morning and looked at under the sink. He said the PVC pipes are glued and he is not sure if those are legal. I looked at it and found some extension portions are glued but all connecting areas to the sink, to the disposal and to the sewage pipe are screwed capped. Dave said the minimum to replace the disposal is $300 and up. I told him that Katie quoted $150. Dave said, angrily, Katie has never replaced garbage disposals before so she doesn't know.
3. I called Sal's but Katie wasn't there and the person answered the phone said she will have Katie call me on Monday. Never received the call.
4. I told Dave we need to clarify this before we proceed. Dave repeated that Katie has never done this job. He became very intimidating. I told Dave that they should talk among themselves before giving out a quote or come out to the location. He left. That was the end of it.

I am not sure if Dave reported incorrect version to his benefit or if he replied the comment. But what I wrote here is exactly how it happened. So for those of you who read this review, I would suggest to make sure get a proper quote before proceed.

This company is service oriented, timely & proactive. Thomas got the job done, was very informative & provided proventative solutions.

My husband and I found a leak in our house, called Sal’s and Mike was at our house in less than an hour. He assessed the leak, found the origin and helped us with next steps to remedy the issue. We are so grateful for Mike and Sal’s plumbing. Please call them for plumbing emergencies.

Never showed up to fix an issue that arose after fixing my shower

I had a clogged shower drain and needed a plumber as soon as possible. I asked a few neighbors of their plumbing resources, and my next-door neighbor highly recommended Sal’s Plumbing in Torrance, as she said “they have always done an excellent job” whenever she had them out for plumbing issues.
Friday morning @ 9:30 am, I called Sal’s Plumbing Company, Sal (the owner) answered the phone, and he scheduled my service call from 1:00-3:00 pm. Thomas from Sal’s Plumbing arrived at my home @ 2:15 pm, diagnosed and explained the issue to me with the best solution to snake the drain to locate and remove the clog. The process only took about 10-15 minutes to resolve the problem. Thomas is friendly, patient and before I agreed for him to start working on our reported issue, he explained everything he needed to do in checking the condition of the plumbing before starting the job to the price of the job,
Thomas is a GREAT service technician and I will definitely call Sal’s Plumbing again and request Thomas for any future plumbing needs.

BEWARE This outfit Sal's Plumbing worked on a toilet overflow problem for a day and a half; charged us an enormous amount of money and to day three days later the problem is back!!
They don't know what they are doing stay away!

Was looking for a new plumber to fix our leaking shower faucet and toilets since our old plumber no longer worked anymore. Found this company online and decided to give it a try and they did a great job fixing the problem! Was very polite and helpful, I reccomend calling for Sal/Salvador (not to be confused with the owner), if you have any plumbing problems! He is the one who fixed our bathroom and everything works great now.

Been using Sal’s for years now and can’t say enough about their exceptional service and trustworthiness. Thomas just spent a couple of days clearing out a kitchen sink and he exemplifies a hard work ethic that won’t quit. That attitude appears to come from the top so I commend them and how they treat their employees too.

I called Sal's Plumbing because of the great reviews. I worked with one of their plumbers who was unprofessional, unreliable and rescheduled the follow-up appointment to make the repairs more than 4 times over 7 days and never came back to fix the problems or presented an alternative solution. This was completely unacceptable and certainly not what I expected from this business.

Been a local customer for 15+ years. They have been the most consistently reliable and dependable professionals we work with. Hands down the best and most knowledable plumbers in the South Bay, with expertise in every area. Fair and reasonable prices and very respectful of your time and property. Highly recommend.

I just used Sal's Plumbing and they were excellent! I had a plumbing problem on a Sunday morning and Sal's sent a technician shortly after I called. The price was reasonable and the technician was knowledgeable. I highly recommend them.

This is the first time I called Sal's plumbing. It was a Saturday and they responded promptly.
Sergio and Jorge came over.
I was skeptical at first but Sergio won me over.
He explained everything in detail.
Our toilet and shower was backed up.
They worked hard and were very professional.
Spent a lot of time, used the camera to show what was wrong.
Offered many helpful suggestions and fixed the problem. Cleared the blockage.
I don't do reviews in general.
This time I felt I needed to do so as Sergio and Jorge did a great job.

Ridiculous pricing....Unless you manage to get one of the lower priced
plumbers. Know standard pricing before you call for service.

Had a clogged laundry drain. Turned out it was also leaking under the house in the crawl space. Sal's responded quickly, got me a quote, and got to work. Thomas and Miguel worked efficiently to replace the line after walking me through the scope. It's nice to be able to do laundry and have clean undies again. 😀. Thanks guys!

Thomas from Sals plumbing came and fixed a leak, that another plumber told me me was not a problem. I called them and they came out the same day and I will definitely use them again. Highly recommend them.

Thomas from Sal's Plumbing has been such a huge help with taking care of our old house and all it's plumbing problems. From replacing 30 ft. of main sewer line, snaking, or replacing a toilet Thomas has been friendly, professional and easy to work with. I can breath easy knowing Sal's Plumbing is there to help when we need them.

Great experience, good value, plumber was very professional and courteous.

I had a leak under the kitchen sink so I called Sal's plumbing, as I had used their services previously. The service tech showed up, took a look and said I needed a new faucet. I rushed to Home Depot to get one, which he then installed, and tested...no problem. Later that night water was again gushing from under the sink. I called them again and they promptly sent another person out the next morning to ascertain the problem. It turned out to be a defective faucet connector . Again I went to home depot to return the defective faucet and buy a different brand. He had gone to another job, but promptly returned to finish my job. He showed me what had been the problem with the Delta faucet and why it wouldn't happen with the Moen faucet. All during this process they were helpful and concerned, and having made 3 house calls only charged me for two. Of course, originally I had thought they had done something wrong the first time, but they very graciously handled my concerned, and slightly peevish phone calls with courtesy, patience and helpfulness. I will definitely call them again! They give great service!

Terrible Service. Had them out for a plumbing inspection. They gave a quote for a pipe they said was broken, but did not give any report or video with the quote. I had asked if they do video in inspection prior to scheduling which they said they did (putting the camera down the pipe). I called and spoke to the owner, who was very rude, who said they would send the report but they do not send video. If I wanted the video, I would have needed to stand there and video their camera with my phone, which I was never told. I have never heard of that. Companies who video the pipes will record it and send you the video. They never ended up sending a report like the owner said they would. Had a second inspection done and that inspector gave a video and report which showed no break.

They are professional, clean and knowledgeable. I was able to get an appointment and they showed up on time the same day. Awesome they are my go to plumber now.

I called Sal's Plumbing with a number of clogs & slow drains. The person I spoke to on the phone was knowledgeable and helpful and set me up just hours later (Saturday!), and Thomas O. showed up right on time. He quickly diagnosed and took care of all the problems, cleaned up (with his own spray!), and the price was good. He's also friendly and personable and had a lot of good advice re warding off drain problems. I'm thrilled with my new plumbing company and recommend them (and Thomas) highly.
