McKinnon & Sons Plumbers are super professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. They have come to our rescue many times over the years. They always go above and beyond. They have done various plumbing jobs for us, including installation of underground pipes, clearing our mainline clogs, and faucet installation. Where other plumbers were confused and unable to solve our mainline clog, McKinnon & Sons quickly got the job done! They are always patient and willing to answer all our questions. There were no surprises, communication has always been clear.

Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience. The guy that came to clean out our main drain, decided to snake the toilet as well.. He chipped the porcelain inside the toilet where he obviously did not properly hold the snake away from it. He refused to admit doing the damage and the owner sided with him and stated they are NOT responsible for such damage, even if they DID cause the damage. Unfortunately, the owner wanted to argue insistently. His final offer was you buy a new toilet and we'll install it free. Why should WE buy a toilet they damaged? Sorry, but if I take my car in for engine work and they chip my paint, you bet your behind they'll fix what they damaged....... Luckily, there are MANY other options out there.

After calling two other plumbers with answer machines that didn't return my calls, I called this company, and a person answered! I sent pictures of my water heater to him, and he determined that it was 9 years old. I decided that I would go ahead and replace it with a new one that they would provide and install. Graeme arrived sooner than expected. After checking out the water heater, he showed me that the pipe it was attached to was very corroded. He suggested that he change the thermocouple, which would save money today and give me another year or two to save up to replace all the pipes. I agreed, so that's what he did. He was on time, professional, efficient, friendly, he made the water heat up, and he saved me money today. What more could I ask for?

I had spoken to another company first who based upon my description of the problem described needing to remove the toilet and would cost close to 500.00. When I described the same situation to McKinnon & Sons he immediately said that it sounded like a main pipe blockage and it was. In about 1 hour it was fixed and I spent half what the other company estimated. Graham was professional and thorough. I would use McKinnon & Sons again.

I had an emergency plumbing problem on Saturday and called my property manager, who, in turn, called McKinnon & Sons. They sent a plumber out within 1 hr. He did a temporary fix on it and returned yesterday with Graham, his dad, to replace the pipe. They were very polite, quick and left the bathroom extremely clean. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who has an issue with plumbing. If there were 10 stars, I would give it to them.

Suddenly didn't have hot water, tried a few times to relight the pilot, no luck. Called McKinnon, and Don had Graeme stop by once he became available. Awesome service! Graeme arrived within 2 hours, was professional and courteous. Gave me a quote and would get back to me on timing for getting the new part. 10 minutes later, he returned to say they found the part locally and they could do the job tonight! Deal. Job completed in under the prescribed time and so nice to have hot water again!

This company is friendly and has great communication. No bs. Got an appt promptly. They called me the night before asking if a later time was possible - it was. They ended up being able to make it in the late morning anyway and called me again, and the whole process took less than 15 minute for a drain clog. Appreciate the excellent communication with no waiting around wondering.

I've called McKinnon & Sons for a few plumbing jobs over the years at my home in Downey. They've always been responsive, excellent communicators, punctual & very professional. I've had emergency calls in the past that they've quickly responded to, and other remodeling jobs that weren't on any specific timeframe. I invited McKinnon out this week to remove some leaky copper & replace with PEX. There were some pretty challenging spaces to work in, but they were able to devise an innovative solution and it came out really well, and I'm very confident with the job they did. Plumber rates are all over the map these days, but I think McKinnon prices their jobs very fair and are a good value.

The only plumber I trust to get the job done right the FIRST time.
