Best Slab Leak Solutions in Austin TX

I had S&D out to my house to look at a plumbing leak coming from my garage (pre snowstorm). After they pushed the appointment because the technician got caught at another job site, I contacted another company about the leak. The other company came and fixed the leak for over $400 less than S&D quoted me (and S&D's quote was just for the leak investigation, not the plumbing repair, nor the patching of drywall and cement). S&D quoted me $1,400 for the investigation, while the other company did the investigation, repair, and drywall and concrete patching for $988. I then contacted S&D again about a tankless hot water heater (as the company I had just used doesn't offer that work), and accepted the quote and date given by S&D. Again, S&D called because, the technician got stuck at another job site. They tried to reschedule to a weekend more than a week away, after I had just hired someone to stay at my house to wait all day for them to arrive (which they didn't). Exceptionally high prices combined with not keeping appointments. Very frustrating experience, total lack of respect for other peoples time.

Of course our ac died on a Saturday night. Most places are closed or don't work on Sundays. Someone from their messaging center contacted me on Sunday that they would look for an appt asap. I had a phone call by 7am Mon. AC repair man by 830am. He quickly found the issue, replaced the part and got everything working great again. I was relieved it seemed like a pretty affordable fix. I would recommend this company & that technician Daren.

Austen Plumbing Company is your go to for plumbing needs! I received a call-back within minutes of leaving my request for service. We were concerned we had a leak under our slab due to hot spots we were feeling on random tiles, and Austen was able to help me diagnose the cause of the hot tiles. I won't pretend to know the names of the various hot water heater parts, but by texting him pictures of our unit, he was able to coach me through some tests to determine if there was actually a leak or just the constant flow of hot water being pumped through the pipes. I greatly appreciated his prompt responses and ability to help us figure out what was going on via phone. Austen is incredibly polite and efficient. I made an confirm apointment with them, but followed up with them and they said I wasn't on the list. They came up with alot of excuses about why I was not on the confirm appointment-excuses were new employee, and new computer system. I was waiting for them all day, what a waste of time!
