We only choose Stan's for our A/C, because they are honest, understanding, and thorough. One of the techs who has come is Kenyatte, and he's great and listened to all our concerns and answered our questions, but we haven't encountered any techs who weren't stellar in their service. That's why we call Stan's every time.

The technician was very knowledgeable, professional, and offered great tips. He helped me understand the electrical problems I had and what it would take to fix them. He gave me several options. I really appreciated his help.

Had a unit installed in May and because my house is propane they needed to switch the gas lines to propane. Didn’t think about it until this weekend when it got cold. Reached out to my advisor Austin Hiatt and he said I’ll o get it scheduled ASAP. The first tech that came out was Alex that came out was awesome he was not propane certified but got it rescheduled for tomorrow but Pablo came out ASAP today and I have heat. Jason came out on a 4:45 PM emergency call, he was out by 6 (austin traffic can be rough and I appreciate him driving across town) and worked on the issue diligently for about an hour to get things squared away. Would recommend him to anyone looking for a service taken care of, and to any and all looking to remodel. Highly knowledgeable and very friendly.

I had a plumber from here come over to repair a small leak in my kitchen sink line. He came over, and said the rubber seal was broken, so he went to Home Depot to get a replacement. After fiddling with the sink, he said he couldn’t fix it & I need to have the fixture replaced. The leak had miraculously become significantly worse, and I would have to pay for him to return to fix the problem (but I’d get a $50 discount!). My opinion is the dude intentionally made it worse to secure a second work order, and I will never be using this establishment again.

Josh went out of his way to help my dad with a plumbing repair. He explained everything patiently and even worked late into the evening to get the job finished so the bathrooms could be used. He is professional and a very nice person.

I was hoping that my tankless water heater, which was damaged during the Big Freeze, could be repaired. Dennis did his best to diagnose the issue and obtain the parts. The manufacturer sent the wrong parts more than once, then finally admitted they no longer stock the needed parts. With no repair possible, Dennis replaced my water heater quickly and at a fair price. Highly recommend.

I had a leaking drain pipe and called Austin Area Plumbing and Drain out to my home to repair it on Sept 29th to fix it. When the plumber started to work, he was in a hurry and carelessly damaged another drain pipe with a power saw. I witnessed him do it and he said that he just nicked it and it won’t leak. I looked at it and it was clearly through the pipe, so we tested it and it leaked very badly. He patched the pvc pipe with putty, and it no longer leaked. I told him I was very concerned with the longevity of that type of repair. He then went on to repair the original leaking pipe. Finished the job, but at the time did not test it. I paid him and told him that I was upset with the other damage he caused, and had him write on the receipt what he had done. We used the (drain that we had initially called him out to repair) the following day and it gushed water instead of just leaking. This caused damage our drywall and ceiling.I called them back and told the lady on the phone what happened, she was very nice about it and said they would send him back out to fix it as soon as they were available. I requested they send someone else out because I was upset that the first plumber being careless. She said she understood, said no problem, and said she would send out their best guy and apprentice to take a look. I asked if I would have to pay again and she said that I probably shouldn’t have to and they would see what they could do when the new plumber takes a look.The new plumber John and his apprentice came out on Oct 3. They were very nice guys and also very understanding, they too believed the first plumber should have tested it before charging me and saying it was fixed. They considered repairing the damage caused by the first plumber a better way, but the spot the power saw had damaged was in area that would require cutting out large portions of other walls and ceiling. He said to hold off and if it that repair starts to leak they would come back out and tackle it.John said he would have to charge me for his time. I replied that I had already paid for it to be fixed and the first plumber made it much worse. He said he totally understood, but I would have to call to get the office to ask to get the first charge refunded. And that he had to collect for his work. He even said the boss would be upset about the first guys work and especially not testing it. I signed off for having him fix it with the expectation of having my initial payment refunded fully or even partially applied to John’s work. John fixed the pipe and it has not leaked.I called and talked to the owner and explained what happened, he sounded understanding, and told me to call the office manager the next business day and work something out. I thought this was going to be fine. I called and left messages and no one returned my calls or ever answered calls from my number.I felt it was very unfair to effectively charge me twice for the same job, without returning my calls to say why they wouldn’t refund it. This was upsetting, and I was tired of calling. I felt taken advantage of, so I tried to dispute the charge with my credit card company. It was my first time disputing a charge with a credit card and was not able to have someone to give a second opinion per CC requirement, it would have just cost me more money than the amount disputed. So, Austin Area Plumbing and Drain won the dispute and were paid in full for both bills.Even though I thought John and his helper were great and the lady in the office was understanding, due to all of careless extra expensive damages to our home from the power saw and first attempt at fixing the issue causing much more water damage, and that I feel that I was unfairly charged for the same job twice, I can not recommend using this company or give them a positive review.

Called about a water leak on Thursday and explained that we were taking Friday off from work to fix the issue. We were told that they were definitely coming Friday. We specially asked them to call if that changed in any way. After we didn't hear from them by noontime on Friday, we called again. We were told that they were busy but would definitely come to fix the leak. They encouraged my 70-year-Old mother who was waiting for them to start digging for the water line to speed up the process. Long story short, they never came, never called, and will never be getting our business.
