This is complaint about the plumbing industry in general and the price of the work in particular. You cannot get any idea of a general price unless a tech comes out to your property which, of course involves a trip charge. Once there you get your estimate, if you don't like it, well there is your trip charge and you've just added it to the next person who you try to get an estimate from, you are a bit of a hostage. I am asking for an ESTIMATE, not a firm price and while I'm not a plumbing expert, I do have an idea of what the problem most likely is.Now, the job was exactly what I told them when I called to get an appointment. My toilet was leaking at the base and needed to be reset with new wax, exactly what the tech told me upon his inspection (two screws, move the toilet, clean the area, new wax, inspect, replace the wax,, reset the toilet. The valve was 10 minutes start to finish). The tech also replaced the shut off valve and the entire job was done in less than 1 hour, total cost, $634.00.As a customer, your home is leaking, and the person is there, what do you do? If you try another company, which will be the same scenario, more time and expense and the leak continues.NOTE: My tech was polite, professional and a very pleasant individual, his work was quick, efficient and thorough, this is not a complaint against him, but, my god, the cost!At 70 years of age, I can no longer do this work myself and have to rely on others to do what I no longer can. It isn't Tipping Hat per se, it is the way the industry works and a company can do it better if they chose to. I feel taken of advantage of by the whole industry, yes prices everywhere have gone up we all are subject to that, but again, the price for the work done..

Michael who is the owner is a very nice guy. He answered our call this morning and was at our house and had our problem fixed by the afternoon. Almost all the other places were 3 days to a week out. Reasonable up front pricing is a big deal for me. No tricky price changing or anything like that. He fixed our hot and cold water pipes coming into the kitchen sink. The lines and handles and everything he did is a big upgrade to the cheap stuff the home builders used. He did a great job, cleaned up everything after he was done and wore the shoes covers even when walking around our home which I liked a lot. I will recommend him to my family and friends. Royalty Plumbing was recommended to us by a fella that does renovations and uses Royalty Plumbing for all his jobs. Leon has come to us twice, at a moment's notice, and fixed our minor little plumbing problems, stopped up toilet, slow drains, changing faucets, etc. He is always quick and thorough, and always professional. Royalty Plumbing (and Leon in particular) is our go to plumber, for large jobs or small.

Scheduled appointment… no one ever called to reschedule or showed up. Unprofessional.

Our service tech was Ryan and even though he couldn't completely diagnose the problem, he was friendly, competent and informative. Our furnace is old so he left us with information for a repair cost and a new furnace. Now we just need to make a decision. Thanks Ryan for making us feel comfortable.

There is nothing better than plumbers showing up at your door within minutes to save the day. They were very friendly and assured me everything was going to be fixed. They replaced a water heater for us and did a good professional job. When they went to turn on the water to the house the main shutoff valve broke in the off position. They located the outside shutoff, but it also had problems and we were in the position where we might have to wait on Denver Water to fix it before we could have water back. Green solutions found a work around, worked late and got our water running that same day. We are very appreciative.
