My wife and I visited the fixtures showroom today and were very impressed. We got great ideas for our bathroom renovation. We were helped by Tom who was very polite, extremely helpful and not at all pushy. To cap it off, he quoted us a price on a bath and bath surround which was WAY below anything we found online. Plus there would be no shipping costs! I strongly recommend giving Brock-McVey a visit.
Update: when we finally got around to installing the surround, we found it had a cosmetic flaw. I took it back to Tom, he called the manufacturer and they promptly shipped another surround at no charge.

I found Tommy's services through Nextdoor, and he came highly recommended. My kitchen sink drainage pipe leaked all over my cabinet and floor last night, and I sent him a text the next morning and asked if he could help. He came over to my house and switched out the pipes and fixed the issue by 10am today! I couldn't be happier with his services, and would recommend him to anyone who needs a plumber!

We had a great experience with two of their plumbers. Our hot water heater was not working, so one plumber (Kevin I think) came out and looked at it, he arrived within the hour we called and told us they don’t work on this model am they didn’t charge us anything at all and wrote up a quote to have it replaced. 2 weeks later we decided to have the water heater replaced, I called at 10:15 am, Ben was at our house before 11, and done replacing our gas water heater before 2. The work looks excellent and he cleaned up perfectly. This is the first time we’ve had to use a plumber since becoming home owners and I’m confident we have found a reliable team for any future needs.

They reworked a sewer and water line at one of my properties. They are very responsive and certainly know their job.

Tim is honest and reliable. Too many service providers today just try to make money on homeowner novice about complex systems. Tim fixes things right the first time and gives honest recommendations. We are happy repeat customers!

Distinctive Designs remodeled our basement over this past summer. A complete gut and redo, our 80+ year old home in the Chevy Chase area was no simple task. Any issues that arose, Chris our project manager and his team where always available to resolve them as quickly as possible. I do think that they had taken on too many jobs and were a bit spread thin with work load, this lead to our 4-6 week project (original estimated time frame) being completed in 4-5 months, vacation delays included. They did a fantastic job and we love having a finished basement to retreat too. With competitive prices, and I definitely would recommend them to others.

Matthew was initially very nice, and seemed willing and able to help us find our leak. After 3 days of looking, and tracing electrical and communications lines, he didn't find it. He said he was 99.9% sure that if a plumber installed a shut off valve in one spot, it would bypass the still-hidden leak. We hired a plumber to do that, but what Matthew was tracing wasn't even a water line. The water line was near the area, so we had the shut-off valve installed, but it didn't stop the leak. Matthew started changing his story and refused to take responsibility for the costs we were beginning to accrue. We next paid American Leak Detection half as much as LF+ wanted, and they found the leak within 5 minutes. Thirty feet from where LF+ said to dig. Save your money and time, and hire ALD. Gas in the lines is clearly the better way to find a leak than overpriced sonar toys.
Update to owner's response: Matthew never billed us because he never found the leak.
