Smelly Mel’s is an on-time plumber, excellent service, and very knowledgeable. Because of the way our building’s water supply is set up it wasn’t an easy task, but Bob was up to it and going forward we don’t have to worry about the building’s supply issue. No more shutting down the whole building for any work done on our unit. Yay!

Chris did a great job. The bathtub was severely clogged due to construction debris and he was able to unclog in about 45 minutes of work.

I got a call from my tenant that the shower faucet got broken and water was running into the bathtub. I could not turn off the water in the whole building, because there were other tenants in the building and they were using bathrooms and were cooking etc. These were evening hours when everyone is at home. At the same time none of the plumbers I called was available to come right away to help. The money was really flushing down the drain. I could not wait until next morning. I was under tremendous stress: my utility bill was getting bigger every moment. This is where GeneralSF comes into the picture. Yevgeny answered my call and came within 15 minutes. So the value was good for the service that they provided. On top of that, their work was thorough. They came on time, they put out good street signs, they paid the deposit to the city, they were responsive to all my calls throughout the process, and they did a very fine job repaving the property line clean out, on top of that, they got the permit signed and completed because they had good communication with the city and the public works division. I was just really fortunate to have a friend who referred me to Smelly Mel's because other companies were trying to basically rip me off. Overall, Smelly Mel's was honest, effective, and they gave me a guarantee on the pipe that was installed. No complaints, and lots of good feeling to what they accomplished.

I just posted a photo of the new toilet Ace installed. Our house has had Ace out numerous times to resolve various issues relating to our building's age (1880's) and the shoddy DIY work of previous owners. These guys have always been nice. Upfront, accurate estimates before work begins. In this particular bathroom Ace advised us we could either keep fighting the issue or simply replace the toilet. They let me select, from the variety at the big box hardware store, for whichever toilet would meet my needs (and fit). Dude! I so wish we'd done this long ago. It looks so sweet and the flush so reliable without threatening to overflow.

I had a problem with my hydronic heating system and had a lot of trouble finding plumbers who were willing and or able to repair these systems. JEBRown was recommended and I called to make an appointment it took 2 weeks for someone to be able to come but when Al came he was on time, took time to explain the two solutions along with costs and then arranged for someone to come the following day to do the repair.
They arrived in the time frame promised, were courteous helpful, efficient and did the job speedily and cleanly. I highly recommend this company for any hydronic heating system problems.
