Best Hardscaping Services in Phoenix AZ

I normally never bother to write reviews, but I have to share what was the worst customer service experience I've ever had to warn others of how they may get treated.

In April 2018, I paid in full for Chris to put together plans for my rather large back yard. Contacting him is an extreme pain - do not bother calling their business number as you will get connected with someone who seems like they could care less about your concerns. I emailed Chris roughly 15 times over the past 5 months and called countless times to try to get updates on blown deadlines, which there were 4 of them and countless excuses.

He eventually agreed to come meet at my house to try to right things and talk details of the plan, which came out to be incorrect twice (probably because there was such a long gap between the meeting and when he sent me the next drawing).

Finally in September of 2018, after missing the deadline for the 'final plan' twice, he sends me a drawing with no dimensions, no renderings, no estimates, and no water/power/gas line configurations like I had asked for. When I asked him about it - the drawing is 'to scale'. Now nobody can do any work without converting the plot plans to what a PDF hopefully correctly converts tiny measurements to.

All of this to say, I highly warn anyone who doesn't have money in hand (do not pay in full before the job is done, or this may happen to you too) for a specific job and dimensions ready to go to work with Lone Star. They really need to work on their communication and committing to promises. I am now out almost $2,000 with no workable plan. I am hoping they will now bother to call me and correct this imbalance.

Someone came out to quote us for our backyard landscape design and then we never got a phone call about the design plan or quote. No one bothered to follow up even after I called. Obviously you've lost our business, and glad too. How unprofessional !

Their crew is very organized, professional, and they do fantastic work. I can't say thank you enough. I definitely plan to utilize their services again in the future.

10/10 would recommend Ivan and his team. His crew was always here on time (usually early) and stayed late to get the project done. They were attentive to detail, executed our plans perfectly, had great communication, and were fair priced. Ivan went above and provided great customer service through the entire process. We can’t wait to hire him again to do more landscaping in the future.

My Mother and I have been using their services for about a year and half. We were going to leave the last renewal, but when we threatened, they finally got off the dime and got out to the property (3 months after we started calling to get them out and 2 months after our contract expired). My mother left numerous voice mails that they claim they have no record of (yeah right). Then, when I had them out to treat weeds that had come up during our 6-month contract, they were dragging their feet and not responding. Finally threatened to leave and suddenly I get a response from someone. They come out and treat but the receipt now shows different wording about what is not covered than our original contract. So, I email the person again and, since they can't seem to keep track of phone calls, said I am only dealing with them via email so I have a record. I asked for them to send the proposed language of any renewal and keep their word that they would simply schedule us without us having to keep calling and emailing. Well, 4 weeks later and they still hadn't responded. So, even though we were in the process of getting a new provider, my mother wanted to give them a chance to respond and do the right thing by keeping wording on our contract as it has always been (lists 4 specific weeds that are not covered instead of just grassy weeds which is far too subjective. The owner decided he didn't want to respond and would let us take our business elsewhere, which is very very very fine with me. I tried to get my Mother to drop them 8 months ago. If you want to deal with people who return calls and emails and do what they promise they will, I suggest you run away fast from this company - there are too many competitors out there that know how to run their business and don't given you excuses like we've had people out sick for two months.

Promised and delivered excellent service. I had our old lawn removed and new turf laid. Great job, thanks so much for doing such a great job.

The crew showed up on time, were very friendly and polite, then did the job I expected. Without any real instruction, this crew did a great job of getting my yard in order. They trimmed the bushes, hedges and tree canopy exactly as I would expect a true landscaping company to. Great skills, very professional and reasonably priced. I was so impressed I signed up for the monthly service.

I recommend them to anyone. I know I’m bringing them back for new projects next month. I’m very satisfied with the results. Great communication from start to finish.

Capstone is a 5 star company. I wanted a low maintenance yard and Zach(owner) designed just that. They did both back and front yards. Pavers, artificial turf, and a great choice of bushes to compliment the yard. If you’re looking for great work and reliable company you can’t go wrong with Capstone.

Great experience with Jeronimo and his crew. We had pavers installed in our backyard and they turned out excellent.
We also had our entire landscape watering system replaced and it works great.
We'll be doing business with Gastelums in the future and will recommend them to our friends and family. ??

I have been using E&S landscaping for over 7 years. They have maintained fair pricing with us this entire time. They are very responsive and do good work. They have done some projects for us including installing a new drip line around our yard but they also do biweekly maintenance for us as well. They always show up when they’re scheduled. If there’s ever a reason they can’t show up in a scheduled day they will always text me to let me know they’ll be there the next day. I highly recommend this company.

The techs assigned to McDowell village were very rude on 4/13. I was eating my lunch outside because it was nice out. The workers came by with leaf blowers and didn't seem to care they were blowing dust and leaves at me while I was sitting on a bench. Not very good service if you ask me.
