Homework Remodels did an outstanding job of renovating our 65 year old home, which was in a state of significant disrepair when we purchased it. The remodeling required a new roof, new electrical, plumbing, heating/cooling, flooring, paint, plaster, fencing... They completed the job on a tight schedule so we could move in upon the sale of our previous home.
We were kept well informed of the progress and were involved in the process.
Five years later, the repairs/upgrades made by HomeworkRemodels have stood the test of time. We are extremely satisfied with their work.

TWD was hired in 2011 by Pulte Homes to paint the exterior & touch up the interior of many homes in my neighborhood (WestWing Mountain in far N. Peoria) after some issues with water seepage were found around windows and a major re-stuccoing was required. They did excellent work and were always friendly, prompt and respectful. But that is not what led me to post this review.

In September of 2014, almost 3 years after their work was finished, I found myself in a bit of a jam. I needed to do some minor touch ups to my interior walls, and unfortunately the paint can they'd originally left me for this purpose upon completing their work in 2011 had been accidentally discarded. I remembered TWD had left me a note with some specifics about the paint they used, but unfortunately HD, Lowes & Sherwin-Williams weren't able to make sense of it. So I called Pulte directly, and they looked up my address and gave me the specs for the paint color they had listed as the standard paint color for my home. After having Home Depot mix up a batch, it was clear that my home had a custom paint job, as the shade Pulte gave me was very noticeably lighter.

On a whim, I called TWD and was put in touch with Kevin, who could not have been kinder or more helpful. After doing some research, he told me of a infrequently used color choice Pulte may have used on my house, and told me he would call back and let me know if he could get me some details on it. When he called back, not only did he give me the paint name & information (which Pulte themselves could not provide), to my surprise he insisted that he would have a quart of it mixed up for me and have someone drop it off at my door the very next day, free of charge. Needless to say, he followed through with this, and the paint matched perfectly. When I told him how impressed I was that he went so above and beyond (I had really just wanted the paint info so I could go buy it myself), he told me that's just the way they like to do business and he sounded genuinely happy that he was able to help.

Without hesitation, I recommend TWD for your drywall & painting needs. Not only do they do great work, where else are you going to find a company that would go out of their way to proactively deliver a free can of paint to a house out on the far edge of town 3 years after a job is done, just to make a boneheaded homeowner like me happy?

Over charge for silly things. Very rude!

I enjoyed the experience of working with Luxury Remodels. A professional organization starting with an excellent design team who stands by the product they produce. Not easy to find. Quotes were given on a timely basis, and I was always informed of any change in pricing, which needed to be approved prior to completion.

I was very impressed with the COVID precautions taken durning my project. Everyone that entered my home had mask on and was very kind and courteous Dion address all of my questions before and during the process. I am very please with the French door installation, the slabs of concrete to extend my patio, installation and wiring for a ceiling fan, along with removing a wall in my kitchen. I definitely look forward to working with D&D construction again when I am ready to do my bathrooms. Remodeling can be stressful especially during these times I am thankful that D&D construction was able to make me feel safe and gave me piece of mind during the entire process

Recently bought a house with a porch post that was heavily damaged due to termites and water over the years, which caused my roof to lean.

Called Handyman Connection and Patrick came out and was very friendly and no nonsense, and got me an estimate by the end of the day. He fixed it the following week and did an amazing job! Thanks Patrick!

Was very pleased with Retro Pro - Eric and his team of professional employees were great - to include Angela, Steve, Oscar and Blake. Two bathrooms were completely remodeled and both were completed timely with excellent workmanship on the remodel. New showers, tub, toilets, flooring, cabinets and paint. Could not be happier with the outcome and promptness of getting the work completed. Minor warranty issues came up but resolved quickly. Again highly recommend this company for any work you want done in your home.

Brian and his team previously did a major remodel of my master bath including removing soffits, installing new cabinetry, counter tops, plumbing, lighting, freestanding tub as well as expanding the shower,. They did an excellent job, showed up on time and worked daily on the project through completion. Aside from their high quality work, they adhered to my budget and communicated regularly throughout the project.
Brian and his team just finished a major redo of my laundry room , replaced all our can lights with LEDs throughout the house, added four can lights to our family room and master bedroom as well as replaced our water softener. They did another phenomenal job.

This letter of recommendation/review dated January 30, 2023 (hereinafter the Letter of Recommendation) is submitted without reservation.

We are the homeowners that retained Apollo Builders to remediate major damage done to (i) the two-car garage; and (ii) the laundry room. The damage was extensive and required, among other things, reconstruction of the load-bearing walls supporting the garage and the laundry room (hereinafter, the Damaged Areas).

My wife and I are both seniors; unfortunately, my wife suffers from difficult health-related issues that require the intervention of various specialties found at the Mayo Clinic. I stress this point because Tyler Kestner was highly sensitive to these health issues when planning the remediation of our home.

The reconstruction of the Damaged Areas commenced on January 24, 2023, and concluded on January 30, 2023. The Apollo staff were impeccable in the performance of their job, including: (i) on-time arrivals; (ii) assemblage of the materials necessary to complete the remediation without delay or aggravation; and (iii) assuring that each of the subcontractor groups likewise followed the very high work ethic displayed by the Apollo staff.

The restoration of the Damaged Areas is now complete; the work was expertly done in accordance with applicable professional standards. For example, during the work period, Tyler examined continuously the work done by his staff and his long-term retained sub-contractors. (These tradesmen have enjoyed many years’ relationship with Tyler; they also perform their work consistent with the Apollo high work ethic.)

In sum, Apollo, Tyler, the Apollo staff, and assigned subcontractors were the consummate professionals.

We needed our master bathroom shower remodeled to accommodate a wheelchair user. After hearing about all the problems people encountered on bad jobs we were paranoid about choosing a contractor. We decided to go with Independence because they specialized in handicapped remodeling. We met with Mike to go over our project, got a quote, and set a start date. His crew arrived on time and were courteous and efficient. When a few project hitches came up (which they almost always do) they were resolved to our complete satisfaction.

Independence charged a fair price, honored their quote, started on time, did an excellent job, finished on time and cleaned up after themselves. What more could a customer ask for? I would recommend them without hesitation.

We lived in our bedrooms while Yourson remodeled the rest of our home. We weren’t sure if this was going to work, but with their help it did. The experience was painless. Every step of the way from picking out fixtures to paint colors was so easy with their help. We felt so comfortable with their crews as the remodel went along. Every suggestion they made was spot on. They raised ceilings, moved duct work, took out a kitchen wall, insulated the attic, put in porcelain tile flooring, gave us new storage areas, and lots more. Again, we were able to live in the house while this was all done. Attention to detail was evident. They really do become like family and they take extra care like you would for your family. We were so happy with how it turned out that the following summer we had them remodel our bathrooms. We left for a number of weeks while this was done and the finished looks were outstanding. They took our 1960’s home and brought it into today’s modern look. My wife and I couldn’t be happier with Yourson Contracting and every person who works there.

Loved working with Jaeden at Builders Express Handyman. He really saved a commercial design job of mine when the contractor dropped the ball on ordering cabinets. We were able to come up with an efficient kitchen under budget and all delivered on time. I highly recommend Jaeden and this company.
