I would like to give a 1-Star review but to be fair, I will give a 2-star review because the job was completed. Just as a quick overview, I would not recommend Holtzman Home Improvement.

PROS and CONS List below:

PROS:

*Bathroom remodel was completed.

*Liked cabinet finishes and style options.

CONS:

*We were given a timeline of 6-8 weeks for project completion but ended up taking 6 months.

*In contract, the introduction page says that Brandon Holtzman “… will personally meet you and visit your job site several times throughout your project to ensure quality and care is not only in the workmanship but also in our demeanor.” Never met the man; not even once.

*“Designer” which they refer to as “sales-person”, had a hard time keeping up with the demands of our project. Made numerous mistakes in terms of measurements that caused wrong products to be ordered and mistakes in the actual remodel. Assumed certain details about project without consulting us. Example: Cabinet above toilet was bigger than expected (inaccurate measurements) and overlapped on to the exhaust fan, “Sales-Person” assumed that we were just going to move the exhaust fan altogether; this would have cost us hundreds of dollars to move the fan 2-3 inches.

*Crew would show up whenever, sometimes not at all even though scheduled. Had crew show up at 6am without notice multiple times. Had to state over and over again for a start time that worked for my family; between 7-8am. Nothing ridiculous. No consistency whatsoever.

*Some of the crew did not speak English, which I absolutely didn’t mind at all. But Project manager, “sales person”, did not speak the language. I never expected to be the sole translator numerous times in person and on the phone. Because of this language barrier, numerous mistakes were made on our project.

*Crew would come to job site and not know the status of our project, therefore would ask me questions about what needed to be done, as well as certain technical details that only a professional would know (example: electrical).

*Crew would come to job unprepared and would leave to go to Home Depot for 1+ hours to grab material. Not sure if this is standard, but I believe that they should have been prepared for the day’s work at our project.
*Overpriced. Example: Updated replacement of bathroom exhaust fan that was picked up at home depot for around $45.00-$55.00 and less than an hour to install, cost almost $400.00.

*Project manager forgot to discuss details of our project to team so there were details that were left out. Example: Requested to have a shower bench installed; shower was “completed” with no shower bench.

*Project manager and “sales-person” should have communicated more in terms of our project details; numerous mistakes could have been avoided.

*Low quality of materials: tile/grout. Numerous tiles are cracked, chipped, and grout has already started to come out in chunks. Also, grout that was never wiped off, has solidified and won’t come off.

*Already have water damage; yes, water damage in a bathroom on a pony wall that neither the project manager and “sales-person” gave input on how to finish to avoid said water damage.

*Was double charged, and charged for work not done. Caught mistakes by thoroughly reviewing receipt and was reimbursed. If I didn’t catch these details we would have easily been overcharged.

*At the completion of the project you are given a 5-year warranty. We have recently contacted Holtzman Home Improvement to come and fix said damage and have not heard back; it has been a few weeks already.

*Their slogan is “People should do business with people they trust”; would not recommend.

We had our kitchen remodeled and after getting several quotes we decided on Jeff at Stellar Kitchen and Bath. The entire experience was good. Jeff was very professional and proactive throughout the entire process from design and show room selections to cabinet install. He made sure everything ran smoothly. I would recommend Jeff 100%. We are very happy with our new beautiful kitchen.

We did the first part of our renovation and couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out. We plan on using him again for the next phase of our renovation in the near future. Veny is a genuine professional and this shows in the quality of the work. If something is not completed to satisfaction, Veny will go above and beyond to make it right. I highly recommend AZ Granite.

Shane is amazing, extremely detailed oriented, professional, fair, and knows his business and the market. Couldn’t have a better result in our kitchen and bathrooms

The Rhino team did an awesome job on our flooring. I recommend them to anyone looking for professional, good quality work. And the level of communication, no one compares. We will definitely be calling them for future projects. Thank you Everardo. You and your team were awesome ? ?

Very impressed with Scottsdale Kitchen & Bath! We have been working with Adrian and his team on a few projects. Extremely thorough, high quality, and high attention to detail! From the beginning, they have been very professional. They had even provided us renderings of what our bathroom would look like, with sample material. The bathroom turned out soooo nice (will upload photos soon!). We are very happy that we hired Scottsdale Kitchen & Bath. We absolutely love our new bathroom.

When we decided to remodel our house that we just purchased in Scottsdale, we hired the Luxury Remodels Company. Their creative and experienced team exceeded all our expectations with their work. They provided a clear timeline for the project, completing the work on time and within budget. They demonstrated professionalism throughout the entire process, from the initial consultation to the final walk-through, treating us and our home with respect and care. Overall, a good experience with a kitchen remodeling company that left us with a beautiful, functional kitchen that we love and enjoy using every day.

We have used Ruidoso for tile installation, interior painting and exterior painting. Their attention to detail and quality of work is unparalleled in my opinion. The tile work include over 1500 sq feet, with two areas using a herringbone pattern and several other areas being 'directional'. They included borders of both solid color and diamond patterned borders to great effect.

Our paint work included white trim and off white walls with a dark accent color on select walls. The result is we feel like we are getting a brand new home.

We recently completed a master bathroom remodel with Retro Pro. We are extremely pleased with our new bathroom! The entire team is professional and fun to work with. We definitely will use this company for any future remodel projects!!

Jerry and his team have always taken great care of all the customers that our team at The Tile Shop Tempe send his way. They take all the stress out of the remodeling process! This guy is absolutely amazing. When I tell you amazing he’s hard working & does amazing work. He is really quick with his work & it looks AMAZING! I’m so satisfied with my home. I think I’ve finally got my dream home! 100% recommend hitting him up.

Keith and his team are the best you can get. I bought slabs and when Keith’s team saw a potential problem instead of just cutting the slabs I purchased they raised their concern to us and we were able to find different slabs. Our kitchen countertops are absolutely gorgeous and we could not be happier. Thank you Keith and team for an amazing job!

Met with Kym for some ideas related to our kitchen and bath remodel. Visiting the showroom was a fantastic experience. They have everything you need right there in the showroom or you can choose to get your own from other suppliers. Kym was there to guide us through the design process and handed us off to the Project Manager once the planning was done. All the professional installers were friendly, neat and efficient. From start of the installation till completion was around 40 days. Highly recommend Premier!

Tony's team installed AquaGuard laminate all throughout the main floor and on the stairs. The quality of their work and the attention to detail is amazing. They are easy to work with; the delivery of the stair noses was delayed, so the team installed the main floor two weeks ago and finished the stairs yesterday. I can highly recommend Tony's Tile for laminate floor installation.
