Best Repair Carpentry in Phoenix AZ

Recently bought a house with a porch post that was heavily damaged due to termites and water over the years, which caused my roof to lean.

Called Handyman Connection and Patrick came out and was very friendly and no nonsense, and got me an estimate by the end of the day. He fixed it the following week and did an amazing job! Thanks Patrick!

David was on time and did great work on all of the odds and end jobs we had asked of him. Also, very reasonably priced compared to competition. Will definitely be using him again!

I hired Brandon to tackle a very long to do list. He did and excellent job and was very professional, curtious and efficient. I will definitely use his services again.

These guys made us a beautiful bathroom. They were hard-working, thorough, efficient, and easy to contact throughout the process. I have heard about a lot of nightmare contractors and these guys were the opposite: dependable, honest, and fair. I definitely will use their Builders Express Handyman Service Phoenix services in the future and would recommend their company to everyone who's looking for a trustworthy remodeler without any hesitation.

Super professional and efficient scheduling and process. Handyman showed up on time and had a great attitude. Was happy to help with everything I threw at him. Pricing was bit high, but I did get a lot done and I'd rather pay more for service like this than pay less and get less service or a bad attitude.

I hired 2 Good Men to install ceiling fans, a chandelier and a TV mount. Richard has good prices but I think he just works on what he thinks he knows instead of reading instructions. I have 4 separate issues with the work that I asked him to do, a couple of them were addressed because I pointed them out in the middle of the project.

1) I had 4 ceiling fans, all the same model installed in the bedrooms. I checked the functionality and the remotes didn't work properly. The fan button operated the light and the light button the fan. He must have wired something incorrectly, but he did go back and fix them.

2) TV mount - he had drilled 2 holes into the actual mount and only used 2 of the bolts to secure the mount to the wall on 1 stud. He did this to center the mount, but it wasn't necessary or proper. The mounting arm could be slid along the mounting from to center where you needed it. Also, the mount is designed to be in 2 studs to support up to 135 lbs. I also noticed that he put the screws that hold the support arm on the mount in the wrong direction. I saw this after looking at the directions.

3) Large Ceiling Fan - he worked on installing a ceiling fan in the family room and called and told me it was defective and didn't work. I obtained a replacement at a later date and was going to have him come back to install, but after the issues I found I just did it myself. I gave the defective fan to my father and he powered it up on a test bench and got it working. The fan came with a wall control unit, instead of a remote control. You had to sync the wall control unit with the fan by pressing a button on it for 5 seconds, I suspect he didn't read the installation instructions again which is why it seemed like it didn't work.

4) Chandelier - One of the support arms isn't screwed in properly and therefore the chandelier isn't level. I tried to tighten it but it spins and does tighten. I'll have to take it completely apart to try and fix it properly someday. I suspect, he may have damaged it while putting it together. At the very least, he should have told me about it if it was defective. I sent him a picture asking about it but never got a response.

At the end of writing this, I feel like I should probably give him a 1 star rating but I was trying to be as fair as possible. I would have to say I would not recommend Richard aka 2 Good Men Handyman Services. I would also offer him some advise, read the instructions of the products that you are installing so that you install them correctly.

No job too big, no job too small. Jeremy is reliable and always willing help with any project I have had. From building a studio to daily upkeep such as hanging photos. He is always a good help!

Fast and quality work, I intend to use them for other projects. On my speed dial now.

We used Art numerous times at our home. He installed a chandelier, a dog door, multiple trim projects and we are super happy with his work and professionalism. We will use him again in the near future!

Took 4 hours to replace two faucets and tried to bill me $200 OVER his quote. Utterly incompetent and dishonest.

Joey assisted with several projects in my home. His detail and dedicated was amazing especially for the price. Will definitely be using Two Pi Handyman services again! I will recommend Joey to anyone needing a handyman.

I was so fortunate to find Hugo since this was a unique job. My fire pit had a leak in the gas line so the concrete and flagstone had to be cut, an 18 deep trench was dug and the fire pit was cut on the side. After the plumber replaced the gas line, Hugo took over and filled the trench, replaced and repaired the flagstone and concrete and repaired the side of the fire pit so it looks like new. He brought all his own tools and cleaned up each day Hugo arrived each day and worked full days. The plumber was so impressed with Hugo's work that he hired him for a job at his House! I also had Hugo repair the benches with new concrete, stucco and paint. His work is equal to his work ethic, top notch!

I don't know why Jeremy is getting good reviews. Where to begin. He overcharged me for materials and admitted it to my face, left a huge mess in my yard and I had to make him redo work that he did wrong. I paid for two guys and his assistant left at noon. That left Jeremy working until 7pm because he didn't want to come back the next day. I called him to come back and clean up the mess he left in my yard and he said he was too busy and might come the following week. He also stated that I don't sit around on disability like some people, I have to work for a living. basically mocking my disability. He did not come back for over a week to clean up the huge mess of concrete slurry, broken glass, etc. only because I lured him there with a promise of more work (but I will never hire him again). When Jeremy finally did show up with his assistant, they made a token effort at cleaning up my yard and I had to go behind the two of them three times and point out all the mess they didn't pick up. I shouldn't have to babysit someone who is supposed to be a licensed bonded contractor. My 75 year old neighbor does better work than he does. Do not hire this guy...he promises a lot and smiles a lot - trying to be charming - but he doesn't deliver. He is VERY shady.

I have used Chris several times for different jobs and always happy with the results. A nice guy who is very knowledgeable.

Prior to sale, we needed a number of improvements completed which included electrical and wiring, plumbing work, carpentry, painting, appliance installations and a number of other repairs / upgrades. For this work, I contacted Greg Knutson. Greg worked long hours and weekends to meet our very aggressive schedule. The quality of Greg’s work was excellent. His work reflected attention to detail and great craftsmanship. Greg made sure his work was done right, enabling us to develop trust in his ability to do fine work. Based on this positive experience with Greg, we have also hired him to do all maintenance work at our two rental properties. He is courteous and completes work promptly for our tenants. Greg is reliable and easy to contact. He is also flexible and accommodating to last-minute requests or urgent scheduling. Oh boy I hoped to forget this incident but here comes a reminder to review from Google when I am looking for a handyman this time...

I got about 1/3 of what I paid for. First job was to install a range hood with 6 inch diameter vent. Company sent one handyman for what was definitely a two person job. He ultimately got the hood up with my help (I happened to have the morning off) but ended up missing the mounting brackets, which had to be completely redone by myself and family, causing a several month delay to find enough time to do the job.
Second job was to install a garage door opener, which he did. However I specifically had the office employee note the existing prewiring and pointed it out to the handyman before starting the job. This time I was not around and returned to wires stapled to the ceiling and walls. The lack of attention to detail on both his and the office employee staff is disappointing. It makes me doubt the experience of the company as a whole if they didn't know what prewiring looks like.
I feel bad for the handyman since he was genuinely trying hard, yet shoddy work is shoddy work.
