We have used Renco for roofing for many years and you just cannot go wrong using their services. This time we had them put in gutters on the house and the barn and it was flawless. Materials is obvious - cheaper materials means work that will not last or might leak, or worst case blow off in a big storm. Renco will be happy to tell you what the difference is between what they use and what you might buy at Home Depot for example. Both quality products but the stuff Renco uses will last longer and be out on professionally which makes a difference.

Insurance is less obvious but might be more important. A company that is cutting that corner clearly is not concerned about your home or your safety. If they have a bad event they may go out of business to avoid the legal issues, or hem not being covered might fall back on you the homeowner of somebody gets hurt. Basically people who are Wlidcatting roofing are putting you at risk and saving a few hundred dollars is jut not worth it.
