I setup an initial consultation/quotation visit with these guys as I needed to get power outside our house to install a security camera. Dave arrived on time to discuss my project and was extremely professional and friendly. We identified three options, including drilling into the house from the outside and junctioning into the existing electrical network, installing a new external outlet, or wiring the camera into our garage where we have existing outlets. He walked me through the pros and cons of each option and was very candid in his assessment. He then suggested the third option as being the easiest and least intrusive/expensive. Even though the appointment was just an initial visit and not actually when the work was to be performed, he ended up helping me out and finishing the installation free of charge as a neighborly gesture. I was very impressed and would highly recommend anyone to consult with them for electrical needs. I'll certainly call them again if I need something in the future!

Power went out for half my house, I called and asked how soon they could get someone down to my house, said about a day, I called 4 other locations and they said 2-3 days. Glad they were so much faster. The guy that came in was pretty professional and dog friendly.

We were really happy with our experience. They quoted us a fair price to install some infrared panels. They installed them quickly and they are working great. Would highly recommend this service provider.

From my experience I conclude that Mr. Electric will charge you as much as they can get away with, so beware. They charged me almost $2,700 for about 7 man hours of work, minimal materials. They wired six recessed lights and 4 smoke detectors that were already in place, plus a light switch and replaced a service wire. The manager threw me a bone and lowered it to $2,370 after I complained. That's still $300 an hour for electrical work that I made easy for them.

I highly recommend Kenan at AMS Electric. He was professional, reasonable and realistic about pricing. He did an excellent job replacing two panels, adding a hookup for our generator, replacing old outlets and installing recessed lighting. Also, and most importantly, he’s a truly nice person. Chad was top notch. I called when I figured that I was over my head changing a light fixture and need assistance. I was hoping for a quick response to come out and do the install for me (electric is scary) . Instead he gave me instructions on how to do it myself if I was so inclined. He spent a couple of hours helping me troubleshoot via text and I got my little project done. He said he would come to my house immediately if I could t do it on my own. Good guy, I look forward to meeting him with a project I can’t do myself. Never had that great service from a contractor. Thanks Chad!
