On 7/8/13 at 11:15, I received a call from Phillip in the scheduling department stating that they needed to cancel my husband and my appointment this date due to having excessive amount of calls and are unable to send out an electrician. My husband had set up a scheduled appointment on 7/7/13 with a confirmation from a technician that they will be present for a home estimate on electrical and plumbing work from 12-4pm on 7/8/13. The technician stated the windowed time frame was due to emergencies, therefore we accepted the 4 hour gap. My husband and I are purchasing a home and have just been provided with our inspection report, which required the home estimate for costly fixes to be completed by 7/9. When I received the call from Phillip in the scheduling department, he provided me with 2 excuses; 1) they are unable to make it out today due to emergencies 2) they need to have homeowners present, not the buyers. I replied with detailed information stating the home owners realtor will be present on behalf of the current owners AND that the technician from 7/7 reported that the 4 hour gap is provided for reassurance that they will make it out, however exact time can not be given due to emergencies. After speaking with Phillip on 7/8/13, I reinforced how important it is that we meet this deadline today based on the home buying process. Phillip, responded in a way that made me feel that our need was unimportant and again refused to ensure that our confirmation we received the day before would be fulfilled. I am furious and will provide all future clients through the use of social media knowledge of this unacceptable and unethical business practice. I am appalled how a company can give confirmation and not attest to it. I would expect a company with an otherwise high customer rating to understand business practices as well as the importance of good ratings with the BBB. Hopefully I hear back from corporate with this comment.

Excellent service. Things break, that's life! This Company lives up to their word, fast, I mean fast service. Dead of night, their guy Nathan was here and fixed it quick! Not may times these days can you count on service this good.
Their unit was worth every penny, and you'd be a fool to use anyone else.
Thank you!

My house was built in the 1970s, with many original parts still attached. I've been with Parker and Sons for years now and they have been able to fix and replace a lot of what needs to be done around my house. I've always had good experience with them and the quality of their work. If anything fails, within warrenty time, they've replace the repairs with no issues. They will show you multiple option for replacing products or parts, and I have never felt pressured to buy.

We've had them come out to do some electrical work. They were sub-contracted by KB Homes. They were professional but I wouldn't say friendly which if fine. As long as the work is proficient.
TIMELINESS: Of the three times, they came on time once. Unfortunately, they give you a four window so you can't leave the house to run errands. We were given an 8-12 window and asked for a 30 minute heads up call before arrival. Tiffany O. the admin assistant, assured us they would. The tech didn't arrive until 10:15AM and did not give us a call as requested. As I tried to explain to Tiffany, if we are scheduled between 8-12, then shouldn't we be the first stop? Otherwise, give us a window time of 10-2. She didn't seem to understand the logic so I gave up trying.
On one occasion, they said tech would be arrive between 8-12. We got up early to have breakfast and removed everything off the counter where the work was going to be done. Then we get a call around 9AM to inform us that the tech called in sick and they need to reschedule. For such a large company, I am surprise there is not enough manpower to support situations like this. Every where I've ever worked, management always makes sure there is enough coverage in case someone is out sick. Needless to say, this pushed us back another day and we had to reschedule with the other sub-contractors.
SERVICE:
The don't seem to have a high standard of customer service. Of all the contractors we've received service from, they possess lack of friendliness, enthusiasm, and sense of urgency. However, the last guy who was here was the most proficient. He really took his time and was very thorough. The second guy left without cleaning up all the drywall dust from drilling into the walls. Allen who was the third tech who came out was friendly and courteous. He explained what he was going to do and cleaned up after himself which was very appreciated. He treated us the way he would want to be treated and respected our home as though it was his.
OVERALL: They do good work but they need to improve on their customer service and communication. If you do use them, definitely ask for Allen. He's the guy you want!!
