Best Repair Electrical Wiring in Philadelphia PA

Our home had an electrical box from the 60's which was likely the same time as when the service wires from the street were installed. In the middle of a Sunday night I was woken up by a loud bang and all of our lights flickering. I went to the basement to find the wires entering the house scorched, smoking, and buzzing. Since the wires in the wall were still live, we shut the power off to the house. I spent the rest of the night with a flashlight, fire extinguisher, and googling local electricians.Since this was an emergency situation I called several electricians the next morning with the hope someone would get back to me asap. Lauterborn Electric had great reviews and even had examples of our exact issue on their website so my hope was to get through to them.One of the reviews had mentioned to call the mobile # for Lauterborn and to not be discouraged if you went to the voicemail because Larry, the owner, would call you back in a few minutes. Sure enough, this is exactly what happened. I left a voicemail and he called me back within 5 minutes. No other electrician called me back, still hasn't.Larry was very friendly, listened to my issues, and said he would be out that afternoon to look into it. Him and his son Larry showed up, assessed the wires, let me know exactly what I needed and the exact cost it would be and that they could get it done the next day. They also cut the lines to the house so I didn't have a live wire in my wall over night.Sure enough, they showed up when they said they would the next day and finished everything up by that afternoon. Larry and his sons were very courteous, kept the work space clean, and took any residual trash with them.I have some electrical knowledge so I can tell you the work they did was beyond exceptional, they built a wall for the new service box and meter, they installed all of our existing circuits into the new box extremely neatly, they properly grounded everything with the cold water line and a ground rod (which you don't typically have in older row homes), weather proofed and protected the service line from the street all the way down and into the house, and did it all at a great price.I can't say enough good things about these guys. Larry said they do work all over, but we're in Port Richmond so they're local and will be who we call for any electrical work in the future. Thanks again Larry.

Ron and the guys were great. They were friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and priced very reasonably. They did not attempt to oversell me on things we don’t need like other companies tried to during their estimates. I would definitely hire them for other electrical work in the future.

Allied Protech on a holiday weekend and they were able to come out to fix our issues. I didn’t feel robbed for it being a holiday and they were out to our house within an hour to fix our problem. Malvin was awesome! He was quick knowledgeable clean and helpful. I will definitely be using him and this company again for any future needs and be recommending to any friends or family.

We had a light fixture in the living room that quit working. We tried changing the bulb and checking the fuses, but nothing. This team was available the next day, showed up on time, diagnosed the problem immediately, and it was a faulty switch, changed it, and gave us some advice about electricity!

We had a breaker go out with no apparent cause in our new construction home. They came within hours of our call and were friendly, professional, and very dedicated to tracking down the problem, even though it required a return visit to fully diagnose thanks to our builder's 'creative' wiring. Would absolutely recommend to anyone in the north Philly area.

By and far, dealing with GE was one of the most professional and pleasant experiences. They are a very trustworthy company. Edmund and his crew were amazing and have addressed our electrical issues on numerous occasions for multiple projects including identifying faulty unsafe wiring wiring, remediating a banned federal electrical box, repairing unsightly and unsafe handyman electrical work (not identified by a home inspector), and moving and adding switches and outlets. They are knowledgable, trained professionals who addressed some very challenging work at our new home. We plan to have him and his crew back for a few more projects soon (outdoor lighting and basement renovation). The company easily got all permits needed, met the city inspector at the property once the work was done and made sure everything was easy for us. While on site, everyone was conscientious about keeping things clean and leaving no trace of their presence behind while protecting our belongings and flooring as they worked. Beyond happy with their services, professionalism and affordability.

Jack and his team were the BEST. I cannot recommend them enough. Jack removed the knob and tube wiring throughout our house, replaced our electric panel, and updated switches and outlets. He communicated his timeline and any updates to the work plan clearly and promptly, and he always did so with good humor. A real pleasure to work with and such quality work.

Recently moved into an old house (1901) with outdated electric. Problems arose the day before settlement and Steve with TE sent someone out within hours. They analyzed the problem and provided an immediate quote. Following settlement, Dimitri began work and caught several major issues - the biggest being an ungrounded house with a bad negative connection. Once renovations began, he walked me through the issues and the best solutions. This was a major expense, so long the way, Dimitri looked for ways to cut costs and save me a few $$$. Overall, couldn't be happier with the communication, response time, and quality of service!

Called Greg the other day about some changes we wanted in the house. Came by this morning and did fantastic work. Not only does he do great work, he takes incredible pride in how it looks too. Added bonus is he is hands down the nicest contractor we have ever encountered.

Derek was referred to me by a friend who used him. My parents are getting ready to sell their house and needed an inspection done. Well it's an old house and there were several things that needed to be done to get up to code. Derek and his team did a great job at a reasonable price and were on time. Had one little issue (a loose wire) and he was back to fix it immediately. Definitely would recommend Derek!

My wife and I just purchased a new home In Roxborough and we had some electrical issues to take care of before moving in. Dave was ableto come to our house and take care of these issues and more that we uncovered. We had our panel replaced, a/c disconnect for central air and some gfi’s installed in a few places. While he was working in the basement we uncovered a few wiring issues that he was able to solve without any issues. I was very happy with the service. Dave showed up when he said he would, performed the work at the agreed upon price and went above and beyond. I will definitely use him again for any electrical or wiring needs in the future.
