Best New Wiring in Philadelphia PA

Our home had an electrical box from the 60's which was likely the same time as when the service wires from the street were installed. In the middle of a Sunday night I was woken up by a loud bang and all of our lights flickering. I went to the basement to find the wires entering the house scorched, smoking, and buzzing. Since the wires in the wall were still live, we shut the power off to the house. I spent the rest of the night with a flashlight, fire extinguisher, and googling local electricians.Since this was an emergency situation I called several electricians the next morning with the hope someone would get back to me asap. Lauterborn Electric had great reviews and even had examples of our exact issue on their website so my hope was to get through to them.One of the reviews had mentioned to call the mobile # for Lauterborn and to not be discouraged if you went to the voicemail because Larry, the owner, would call you back in a few minutes. Sure enough, this is exactly what happened. I left a voicemail and he called me back within 5 minutes. No other electrician called me back, still hasn't.Larry was very friendly, listened to my issues, and said he would be out that afternoon to look into it. Him and his son Larry showed up, assessed the wires, let me know exactly what I needed and the exact cost it would be and that they could get it done the next day. They also cut the lines to the house so I didn't have a live wire in my wall over night.Sure enough, they showed up when they said they would the next day and finished everything up by that afternoon. Larry and his sons were very courteous, kept the work space clean, and took any residual trash with them.I have some electrical knowledge so I can tell you the work they did was beyond exceptional, they built a wall for the new service box and meter, they installed all of our existing circuits into the new box extremely neatly, they properly grounded everything with the cold water line and a ground rod (which you don't typically have in older row homes), weather proofed and protected the service line from the street all the way down and into the house, and did it all at a great price.I can't say enough good things about these guys. Larry said they do work all over, but we're in Port Richmond so they're local and will be who we call for any electrical work in the future. Thanks again Larry.

I am very happy with my service. I called and Tom came out the same day to give me an estimate and scheduled repairs the next day. They were on time and were very careful and neat : covered all the furniture in plastic. The indoor lights are just hat I wanted and the exterior outlet was installed super quick. I highly recommend and will call anytime I need electrical work.

Amazing work done by this company. The estimate was spot on target with what I had expected (very competitive). They were able to get the job done within 3 days of me booking them. They helped provide recommendations on placement and number of recessed ceiling lights. They were super clean and left my home spotless. Very professional, knowledgeable, competent, on-time, fast, flexible and friendly. Can't ask for more than that!Upgraded a service panel and did some wiring and re-wiring including dealing with some old knob and tube and plaster/ lathe ceiling and walls. I did the finish work on the plaster myself as per our agreement. I will definitely use Alba Electric again on some work coming up. Very happy to have found them.

On time and found the problem fast

My experience with DMS Electric was absolutely great from start to finish. I had Derek and his team install a bunch of lights/outlets, install/mount a bunch of TVs and other electrical work in a dental office. Everything was completed on time, on budget and turned out great! His team of electricians were always friendly, on time and easy to work with. I needed an electrician because my light fixture fell from my ceiling leaving live wires exposed. I searched the Internet and found Campbell’s Electric Service. I called the number and explained my situation to Mr Campbell. He gave me an estimate which sounded reasonable to me. We scheduled a time for him to come to my home which was the next day. He was on time and did the repair in less than 45 mins. The quality is excellent and he was extremely professional. I will definitely use him again and refer him to anyone who needs electrical work done. I’m extremely pleased!
