AC Electric is super. I needed a circuit breaker replaced for my AC compressor. Mike Short showed up after closing hours and had it installed in a few minutes.

Our lights have been acting weird flashing on and off. A electrician from Austin Energy said there was corrosion in our meter can. Today Ray came out and waited for another Austin Energy to shot off the power so Ray of Bowne could replace the bad parts. He is now waiting for the power to be restore. We are delighted with how Bowne responded so quickly and for the excellent work they continue to do for us.

Ordered a part and was supposed to install in two days. Three weeks later I had to call them to find out they are behind on parts. No customers service at all.

I cannot recommend A-One Electric. I had an issue with a bedroom where every time I flipped on a light switch it tripped the breaker for the bedroom. A-One's technician arrived unprepared (without even the right type of breaker to swap into my panel) and without the necessary expertise to diagnose the problem. He looked in the light switch box and, without unscrewing anything, concluded everything looks right to me. He told me he could hunt around for the problem, but since he didn't know what he was looking for, he would only find it by luck. I told him no thanks. I gave a call to a friend of mine, and he explained that what I was looking for was something that was causing current to leak onto the ground wire, because this would cause the breaker to read a higher than normal change when the switch was flipped, and therefore trip the breaker. I found the problem - a wire with a slice in its protective coating - in the same switch box the technician had glanced in. A one-inch piece of electrical tape and the problem was solved. A-One sent me a bill for $95 for doing nothing. I understand the trip charge concept, but considering the details of the trip, I don't think it was deserved. I offered to split it with them ($45) and they said they would take me to small claims court. Nice.

The February 2023 ice storm caused my neighbors’ tree to fall on the individual power line to my house. Knowing that the city would not repair that line, I reached out to several electricians seeking help. I sent out emails at midnight and this company responded before I woke up the next morning. They sent Efren to access the damage promptly at 9:00 am. He quickly removed the debris that covered my line and had me fully reconnected long before noon! I couldn’t have expected a better response or service!!

Aztec Electric is an Austin family based company. They have been here a long long time. They have seen Austin grow and has been working to improve the quality of home owners and business owners with their electrical issues. Aztec Electric has fair pricing and great quality of work. The Efficient Team of experienced professionals are awesome! I’ve engaged them for HVAC repairs and, most recently, their plumbing team (eg Feb 2021 freeze and broken pipe and Dec 2021 plumbing leaks). We used Total Home Tech. to upgrade our WiFi system and add to our in home system. I was very impressed with their ability to problem solve and the competitive pricing on the products. We had an old landscape lighting system that constantly malfunctioned and they figured out how to add it to Apple Home link so that we could program it's operation. They stay up to date with current technology and are very respectful of interiors.

Brighthouse Electric ROCKS! I needed some can lighting done in my kitchen. However, I didn’t know any other details that I needed to provide,( except that I wanted this work completed.) They took complete care of me and even worked with my schedule. I asked off work for the day they were scheduled to come, but my job needed me last minute. I called Mendy, the owner, and she was quick to reschedule me to my next day off. She was kind and worked around my schedule. Austin was the tech that came to my house and he was as polite as can be. Just had my entire system replaced along with duct replacement, insulation and balancing. Every employee I had contact with was friendly, knowledgeable and made introductions before entering my home.
