We live in a historic home (1926) and needed to have the bathroom completely remodeled. We hired Homework Remodels to take everything out (tile floor, walls, ceiling, tub, toilet, vanity, etc) and install a new bathroom. They were very professional and were great to work with. We explained the items that we wanted, and they provided information on those items as well as other options, which we greatly appreciated. They communicated very well throughout the project, and we were extremely happy with the end result. Working on historic homes can be difficult and unpredictable, but their expertise made it look easy. This bathroom is the only bathroom in our house, and they managed to keep it functional throughout the entire construction phase, which is an incredibile feat. Our new bathroom is beautiful and is better than what we expected - great quality of work! We finally have a bathroom that we are proud of. We will definitely hire them again for future projects. I highly recommend them.

From the beginning Ricardo was awesome. Really honest and upfront about our roofing project. I quoted four other valley roofing and remodeling companies and Graco’s product was the same and their price was really competitive. Went with them and are really happy with the result of the work and the customer service. Day before work was scheduled it rained and our roof finally started leaking, called Ricardo and he came out same day, covered it with a tarp (while it was raining) and he also went into the attic to check it out. Next day work was started and finished in two days. Excellent crew, solid work. Thank you Graco!

Greg was a fantastic person. This was our first ever remodeling project and having someone like Greg handling everything was such a relief. He was always on time and always working hard. Both of my bathrooms look great, we are really happy with how it all came out. Everyone I've talked to at Handyman Connection has been great, but Greg was exceptional in not only his work ethic but customer service skills. This is the fourth time we have used Urban Element. Quentin and team are beyond excellent. His quotes are well priced, comprehensive, and leave little room for surprises. His timeline is typically spot on. On our most recent project, we remodeled two of our bathrooms. We were living in the house during the project. The tub and tile surround in our rental property was old and outdated, so we called Bathtubs Revived of Phoenix for a refinishing quote. Colleen gave us a cost estimate over the phone, and we scheduled a date for them to reglaze everything. They were prompt, professional, and made our bathtub look brand new again!

We initially hired DRC to complete some plans for an extensive renovation to our Scottsdale home. Dale made representations about their ability to do architectural plans, engineering calculations and also complete the construction. We should have read the signs early, he was an hour late to the initial meeting and then, during the next 9 months it took to get the plans finished, there were lots of mistakes and omissions. It felt like I was marking homework from a pre-schooler. Every time the next set of plans were provided there were omissions, mistakes and forgotten items we had spoken about at previous meetings where I had kept notes.
Dale never turned up with any notes, never took any notes and rarely remembered anything we spoke about. His attention to detail is lacking and his pricing is ridiculous. He wanted $27k for a portable potty rental and $8k for a new hot water heater!
The initial budget was $650k and this was confirmed to be still on track at a meeting in May (8 months in) where we requested an update as to when the plans would be finished and when we could get a bid. We finally got a partial bid in August after putting pressure on him, the bid came back at just under $1.3M (admittedly there were some optional additions included that would have reduced the price by circa $150k if removed) however the bid was still $500k over all of his estimates. We now have a set of plans that we paid $12.5k for that are useless as most of the items we designed were based on the pricing advice of Dale coming in at circa $650k. They will have to be re-done by a real builder. DRC pretends to be a one-stop-shop with all trades on staff, however, they work out of their house and rely upon outside trades to do all the work.

It seems like DRC are a “mom and pop” outfit that are playing outside their lane. They need to keep putting up garden sheds and leave the real building to professionals. Do yourself a favour, KEEP LOOKING!

I hired Jeremy the Handyman/First Leaf Construction to correct a poorly sized attic opening at my older home. Jeremy did a fantastic job coming out to take a look/discuss options and provided a clear and reliable proposal. The new opening and corresponding door turned out perfect, with absolute high quality. My sister did, but I helped manage it. Took about 6 months, and there seemed to be a lot of delays. Probably most of the backorder had something to due with COVID. Christina Calabrese was our project manager and was excellent at communication. She always kept us up on any progress and any delays. Her boss Zach Brizzee even came to the project site and checked in on it. Those two were key in getting this completed. Thank you!

We had a complete kitchen remodel last Fall. Our experienced designer highly recommended Oron Garabian with FHR Construction as the General Contractor and we could not have been more pleased. The FHR team is incredibly professional and responsive. The initial demo was swift and thorough. Their electrical work and knowledge was great. Their painter produced flawless results. The tile work was very professionally done and they patiently worked with me on tile selection, placement and grout choices. They went above and beyond when I mistakenly chose the wrong color for the glass backsplash, realizing this After it had been installed but, thankfully, prior to grouting. Oron and his team worked very closely with me to remedy My mistake and stay close to our project schedule. Their work was wonderful, the team was incredibly professional, their daily clean up, inside and out, was impeccable. I would use them again without a second thought and highly recommend FHR!

The preferred insurance vendor wasn’t a match, so I sought out dozens of contractors, interviewing each one, digging in deeper as I had an entire home water loss and extensive work to be completed.

Jodi was the first voice of Bethom and was excellent. Their project manager/superintendent CJ Castro was on site within hours, professional, detailed, and assured me his estimate would be inclusive of all damages. I requested referrals to review Bethom’s prior work, and Jodi eagerly provided. I called EVERY SINGLE referral, sometimes multiple times to make a determination, asking several questions. All referrals had valuable input and realistically provided areas of opportunity for Bethom. Each referral spoke highly of Bethom and if they had to do it again, stated they would hire Bethom again, and many have used Bethom for additional projects.

My home is 65-70% complete and I’m ecstatic to see the final touches. For now, hands down I’d recommend Bethom for residential and commercial. Their project manager works hard and goes to bat for his clientele. CJ is knowledgeable, responsive, transparent, and involved in the process. He keeps you in the loop as often as you prefer. Any delays were outside Bethom’s control.
