They came to check heating system and made some adjustments. Then came back to install new system. Came back 3or 4 times to make adjustments. But very prompt and helpful. Had to adjust a couple times so new system would match where room heat controls were on walls

Showed up fast kept me updated as to what was going on and gave me options when the problem was found. Would recommend and use again.

RJ and Demarco are a Father and Son team that did an AMAZING job for us. We were in a situation that we needed to remodel a small apartment bathroom after it had flooded. We had gutted the bathroom and purchased a shower kit to install. Unfortunately, after our contractor was not able to finish the job, we had tried several other companies/handyman in Anchorage that either were not available, job was too small, booked out several months, a no-show, or the quality of work was poor. Demarco had reached out to me after I made a post on the NextDoor app. He was quick to respond, gave me a call, and scheduled a free consult to go over our project the next day.

Demarco and RJ are such a pleasure to work with. Very professional and friendly. They both made suggestions on what we needed and the quality of work is superb. They installed the proper insulation behind the shower, fixed venting for the bathroom fan, installed the shower and drywall, waterproofed the floor, installed flooring, and installed the toilet/vanity. Plus, they painted the bathroom fresh and looks new! They gave us a proposal and were able to work that week and finished before the projected time. I actually ended up hiring them to do more work for us to have our apartment ready to rent again. It really restored my faith that there are people out there who have a passion for their work and treated our home like theirs. They took care of all the supplies, cleaned up the workspace pristine, and were flexible if we asked for more services or changes. Super easy and was such a relief to be taken care of. After the first visit, I was fairly certain it wasn't fixed and the tech tried to convince me it was.

After the tech left, on the second visit, my dad had to take out the glass and reset the logs so that the pilot light would light correctly.

UPDATE: I wasn't concerned that the tech had to leave to get a part. It was that AFTER the first service call, he didn't believe me that it wasn't fixed, and I had to try MANY things before he would believe it wasn't fixed, and I scheduled a second service call.

AND you'll note that I mentioned above that AFTER THE TECH LEFT the SECOND call in which theoretically he had fixed things, THE LOGS were installed incorrectly and my dad had to disassemble the fireplace to fix so that the pilot would light.

I literally planned to have a my dad there with him, because I suspected that I as a woman, would again not be believed that it was broken.

Amazing and prompt service! Our heat went out over the weekend, and after calling multiple other services, they were the first shop able to send someone out on Sunday to get it fixed. Sean was great about explaining the issue to us and about describing preventative maintenance for the future! Highly recommend and will be calling again if he have a heating issue. Thank you!!!

Very happy with the service from Burton Repair. First call was to replace a toilet and valve. We liked the work so much, we called back for repair of both garage doors. I was surprised at the variety of problems they repair.

I called Denali Sewer and Drain when my sewer service froze. The steam hose became lodged in my service. The technician tied it to his truck to free it but ended up breaking my cleanout and tearing the hose. He drove away, leaving the hose in my sewer. The company didn't offer to help even though I called repeatedly. A full 24 hours later they offered to send someone out but I had already called another contractor.

I feel like Denali Sewer and Drain took advantage of me and I hope they don't treat other customers this way. They didn't communicate any of the risks to me and they should have stayed to fix my sewer after they broke the hose.

called at 8:45 in the morning, I called again at 10:30, 2:30, at 3:40 I was told the driver had problem with the van and would not be able to come but they would get another repairman.........I waited and waited, never got a call at 4:40 I called again and was told they would not be able to come today........at a minimum they should let me know they were not coming .....o well, very difficult to recommend Mtn Mech. to anyone, terrible service from the office.

Call twice about an appointment that we had scheduled, then texted after to confirm and all was on schedule. Then 30 minutes prior I find out they can’t make it, after I call them. Terrible first impression.

Practical Remodeling is one of the best contractors I have ever worked with. They show up on time, they care about the quality of their work and they work with their customers. These guys are amazing and provide a quality service. I highly recommend them and would definitely use them for future projects.
