Service person (Elvir - 3962) was great - he got the job done and was informative, competent and respectful of my property. The dispatchers were also pleasant. My review is not a 5 because the time estimate window was significantly off and the price was high - $469 to rod out the kitchen pipe. They give a $69 discount for writing a review.

Brian, the owner, was displeased with a review I wrote on Yelp and left me the following message, Elizabeth, there is something seriously wrong with you. After our conversation today and now seeing what you have written, I actually prefer that you leave the review up as a daily reminder of how black your heart must be on the inside. You are a sadistic control freak and I feel very, very sorry for anyone affiliated with you. Seriously, seek help. No, really, seek help. Great service! Don was quick, explained everything very well, and took care of me. Even when the problem persisted after the initial visit, the came back out and made sure everything was fixed. Even went above and beyond and did some cleanup for me which was very much so appreciated! Awesome service!

EDIT - I have added photos of the associated receipts (JOBS 43521 & 43503) to confirm that the claimed amount (over $1000) is accurate, given that APEX has taken the time to state that my review was not accurate.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I was charged $1,040 to ultimately disconnect/reconnect a sink and faucet installation.

I originally requested to have a garbage disposal installed with the sink re-connection. However, the plumber was unable to successfully connect the garbage disposal wiring from the prior disposal to the new disposal, after multiple attempts. The plumber's competency was a bit questionable for this task.

Additionally, the wall pipe was too high to connect the disposal drain and effectively drain the sink water. However, instead of performing a simple measurement to help determine whether the wall pipe was too high - the plumber attempted for over an hour to try to find a drain configuration that worked.

I understand why the requested garbage disposal installation was not feasible b/c of the wall drain location. However, the fact that APEX needed hours to diagnosis that a garbage disposal installation was not feasible makes me question plumber's honesty or competency.

I understand that there are labor/material costs for a plumbing service.
I am happy to pay for a plumber's labor. However, I am NOT happy to pay (over $1000) for hours and hours of labor for a plumber to 'figure it out' whether the requested job is feasible.

Sam and his team were very responsive. I received a call back within hours. He was able to come out the same day and shortly after he was able to give us an estimate. Sam was very knowledgeable and was awesome with helping us plan and decide on the final project. Once my husband and I made the final decision, we had a new water heater in less than a week. He and his team had great communication throughout the whole process. They were on time and correctly estimated how long the project would take. I will definitely be hiring Sam and his team in the future for other plumbing projects we have. Even with the cold weather, Sam was eager to help us out and complete this project right!

These guys are the BEST - they are quick to answer and did a great job for us at a very reasonable price. We will use these plumbers again if needed.
