The young lady I dealt with over the phone as well as Pat #1899 the service man who replaced the toilet seal were professional, polite and informative.As to the price I have no point of reference to make a judgment one way or the other. All I know is that they showed up quickly and fixed the problem. I would use Roto-Rooter again and recommend them to others based on this experience.

Looking for a plumber in Hyde Park, Chicago and Apex advertises they specialize in Hyde Park. Called to set up an appointment and they told me we were outside their service area, despite the fact that WE ARE RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF HYDE PARK. Don't waste my time with false advertising.

They will not honor their warranty. They will take advantage of your emergency situation and diagnose non-working repair suggestions that you don't need, like: $1,500 hydro-jetting, when all you need is a simple rod at $450. They will not talk about it with civility over the phone. They will be rude and indignant. They will not take any responsibility for a mis-diagnosis and they will make a mountain of excuses as to why nothing is their fault. This company should take more honor in their work, but they likely won't. Therefore, until then, save your pockets and save your time by going with another firm
