Best Kitchen Drains in Albuquerque NM

I had some of their techs out to fix an issue I had with my water heater. The wires from the controller to the burner grounded out against the metal cover on my water heater, because I was a dummy and bumped against it, causing it to ground out.

Oh well, so I gave them a call. They came out, diagnosed that it was the burner, were very friendly and prudent about trying to get the part asap.

They replaced the burner ($700) and it’s still not working. When it grounded out it also fried the electronic controller (which I could see as obvious).

This tech that replaced was a different one than the first one, and was talking to my wife. He didn’t elaborate further than “the burner is fixed, but now the controller is bad.” He then tried to justify replacing the whole water heater, which would have cost around $1700, or just to replace the controller, which was quoted at $600.

Now I totally understand that when troubleshooting sometimes you have to throw parts at something until it works, and I don’t know for sure if those prices are competitive. I don’t really understand the logic of replacing the whole water heater.

I ended up going a different route to fix it for other reasons. Overall, my experience with these guys is a mixed bag. I thought I’d share, just so people can know what my experience was.

Jim Stuart was highly unprofessional. Our swamp cooler died and I had scheduled an appointment for a quote on a new HVAC unit. I informed Wagner that I, the husband, would not be there for the estimate but my wife would be. As soon as Jim arrived he asked if I was there to which my wife replied no. He immediately said we needed to reschedule and did not go through with the estimate with my wife, basically implying that she was incapable of understanding the information and passing it along to me so we could make a decision. Absolutely despicable.

Had a leaky tub and blocked up drain. Guy and Bud showed up right on time and fixed the issues quickly for a super reasonable rate. Lori at the office if very friendly and makes scheduling a breeze. $150.00 cheaper than the competition, family run and awesome service.

Emergency call or routine maintenance - Hire THIS plumber! I’ve used many different self-employed plumbers or larger plumbing companies over the past 30 years in the Albuquerque area. So far this company is my very best experience! Despite being awakened at 5:30AM, Shaq Whitehorse diagnosed my problem (even identifying the faucet brand) immediately over the phone. He came out within a couple hours of the call and fixed the problem quickly. Reasonable pricing. I couldn’t be more satisfied. He earned every bit of the 50% tip I gave him. A true treasure!

I have used TLC for five years on several projects. All of the TLC team have been very professional and their service superior.
