Best Plumbing Need in Washington DC

We had a great experience with Durance after discovering water leaking through the ceiling of one of our closets. They arrived on-time, were professional, and quickly identified and fixed the problem. They did an excellent job projecting the furniture and electronics in the room from the mess as they pulled down the ceiling and cleaned up after themselves when they were done.

Overall, they fixed the issue very quickly for a fair price. I would definitely hire them again.

Three years ago this January I closed on my first home. A few weeks later I noticed that the hot water hose connected to my washing machine didn't spew hot water like it should. The water trickled out like something was blocking it. I had one of the contractors who worked on the house look at it and he said that he'd have to chop the wall down to access the pipe he needed to access to fix it. I didn't want to put a hole in my new house so I decided to wash on the cold setting until further notice.Well, my dryer broke not too long ago and I finally decided to get it fixed this week. (It's been months.) Since I had to pull the washer and dryer out of the closet I decided to check the hot water hose. Once again, the water trickled out like something was blocking it. Frustrated, I got on YouTube this morning to see if I could figure out how to fix it myself. (I saw a YouTube video online where a plumber snaked a pipe to unclog it.) Maybe a plumber could do the same for my hot water hose, I thought.I decided to have Roto-Rooter come out tonight and try to fix it. (The dryer is being fixed tomorrow morning.) I told them I only wanted them to fix it if they didn't have to chop down the wall. The guy looked at me confused. After an hour or so of tinkering the guy discovered that it just needed a new valve. Three years of washing on cold and it just needed a new valve...Always get a second opinion. That's the first lesson. Still pondering on all of the lessons learned in that moment... Wow. I used to use them all the time. This year, it’s been unbelievably bad. First I called for a toilet installation which they scheduled for 3-5pm that day. No one showed up. I called and the rep said oh probably someone took the call and forgot the ticket on the desk. Well, I rescheduled to next day, and the Rep promised it won’t happen again. Guess. What. No show again, despite my calling during that day to confirm that they are coming… then, when I called again, another rep was extremely rude “I’m not local so spell it!” Wow some real service. I gave him all the details and he said “they will give you a call right back. “ for the third time in a row, no call no show. I’m not gonna use them ever and thought I’d leave this so that you don’t need to count on them if you are serious about just a toilet- cause they aren’t.

Great, quick, and efficient service! I had one of their plumbers come fix what I thought was a shower valve issue since I wasn't receiving hot water on it (which i googled), their experts let me know that they needed to install a spool & cartilage to my shower to fix it. Of course they knew the issue and resolved it there asap!
