Tidewater heating and Plumbing did a great job, they responded and corrected the problem. They have done work for me before including installing central air. I think they are the best!

Just finished up my service call with James and his grandson Dave. Lets Start off with the simple call. Mrs. Carol was such a sweetheart. She got me fixed right up. We ended up chatting about life for a few min even. I got so lucky that they had a last minute schedule change so it opened up a spot for me for 10-11. The guys showed up and did their thing but also educated me on my system. My husband is military so you know thats about the time things tend to stop working. Well I knew my system has lived they expected life span but Mr. James and Dave showed how to get the most life out of my system. Simple system housekeeping. Also, if you are military they do offer a discount. I'm going to keep their number on speed dial for sure! They also do pluming and garbage disposal.

Called just before arriving. On time. Very nice and friendly. Very helpful. Very effective in doing his work. Did not take long. Made sure everything was working correctly after maintenance was complete.

Update 5/4/2022: Though there were some problems initially, the company has done everything anyone could reasonably expect to make the system work. We continue to rely on them for our HVAC, plumbing and electrical work.American Mechanical has installed and maintained several systems in our house and we've always been happy with their work. However, following a recent $25K HVAC/Duct replacement, when a cheerful person called to ask if I was completely satisfied, I said no, the system isn't working correctly and explained why. She promised to get back to me, but since then all I've gotten is a flurry of texts and e-mails (8 by my count) asking me to review the service. Well, here it is: Projected to take 4 days, the install took 8 days as there were not enough installers assigned, and those that were had to leave early on several days, leaving us with no heat over a long, cold weekend. Once finished, the system only works correctly when it's turned off as temperature across rooms varies dramatically when it's on - as I write this it's 46 degrees outside, and with the thermostat at 70, rooms range in temperature from 68 to 74 degrees with a windstorm coming out of some ducts, but no air at all seeming to come out of others. I tried to adjust ducts manually in individual rooms, but about half of them were installed without the adjustment knobs. So, as I sit in my office with the heat on and a window open, after a week of no response to my complaints it's looking like we may have to hire a professional AC company to come in and fix the mess American Mechanical made in our attic.

Me and my wife just moved into our home and we were experiencing electrical issues in 2 bedrooms. Sam, our technician, came out and was able to diagnose our issues rather quickly. He was extremely informative and helped us future proof any common issues. Thank you again Sam! We appreciate your help!

Long term customer. They always see things through and make sure the job is done right. Owner himself will come out to ensure job done properly.

We discovered a leak under our kitchen sink. I replaced the facet but water was still leaking in another area. I called A-1 American for plumbing problem. The lady on the phone took my information and said someone would be calling us early afternoon. I received a call quickly and Larry and John came out to look at the leak. They gave me a quote then fixed the problem. The were both very nice with great customer service. I would recommend A-1 American to everyone.
