Just finished up my service call with James and his grandson Dave. Lets Start off with the simple call. Mrs. Carol was such a sweetheart. She got me fixed right up. We ended up chatting about life for a few min even. I got so lucky that they had a last minute schedule change so it opened up a spot for me for 10-11. The guys showed up and did their thing but also educated me on my system. My husband is military so you know thats about the time things tend to stop working. Well I knew my system has lived they expected life span but Mr. James and Dave showed how to get the most life out of my system. Simple system housekeeping. Also, if you are military they do offer a discount. I'm going to keep their number on speed dial for sure! They also do pluming and garbage disposal.

I am all about being honest and owning up to my mistakes. However, upon writing a check. There were some issues. I corrected this error by paying the balance plus any other charges. I really felt horrible. Upon paying via web. He never stopped my check resulting in $330.00 surcharges. He was called several times to stop payment. I ended up calling my bank and stopping. He is now avoiding my calls and refuses to correct his error. Very unprofessional and bad for business. Guess I learned a valuable lesson.

Brandon did an excellent job fixing our heating system. It went out last night, my husband called today and the work is already finished. It only took a couple of hours and he had the part on his truck. Very courteous gentleman that cared about fixing it and cleaning up after he was finished. I am quite upset because Betty's name is still being used and they do not honor work that had already begun in North Carolina saying they have been taken over by Atlantic and Atlantic doesn't have a NC license. This unit cost $5.300.00 and we can't get a company in NC that will take over Betty's contract. We even paid for labor & parts to be good until 2021. We trusted Betty's and want to know why they can't acquire a NC license to honor their contracts if they are going to continue advertising. Where does that leave all the rest of the people that trusted them in N.C. I lived in Newport News all my life and referred Betty's to everyone I know. I can't even get Betty's Supervisor or owner to call back to talk to them. Help somebody!
We have been dealing with this over three weeks. The water of condensation falls straight through to the duck work and pulled it down. My husband is in his 80's and crawled under the house and saw what has happened. The drain is not clogged. The water just goes straight through. We shut off the unit so no more damage can be done. We don't want to mess up our warranty knowing this. Here is a warning to all residents in N.C.

Totally satisfied with the entire experience. Jake, the technician was very friendly, extremely knowledgeable and expertly affected the repair in a timely manner. I'll definitely be using A-1 again anytime the services they provide are required.
