Our Ac has been giving us trouble for a good while. And we couldn’t take it anymore. We had repair person after, repair person at our house. They kept telling us everything was fine and in shape. It wasn’t fine. Finally we called McCoy Plumbling. He was the only one that went upstairs in the attic and found the problem. He told us we had a pipe that was backed up. That’s was why our unit kept turning off and on. He drained it and suddenly within an hour our house started to feel cool like normal. I’m keeping this company on my speed dial. Thank you again!

I am extremely satisfied with the service I received from this company. I had the pleasure of working with Jim over the last few weeks, who helped me through an extremely aggravating situation. My husband and I bought a house 2 years ago that we later found out was both poorly and cheaply built. What should have been a quick fix turned into a 4 week ordeal due to faulty installation by the home builders and incorrect replacement parts sent by the manufacturing company. Jim was at my house 4 different times and was extremely patient, pleasant, and professional at each visit. We have used Harrison’s plumbing for two years now and never plan on using someone else again! We have used countless plumbers in Hampton Roads and always were unsatisfied with them at one point or another. We have found that customer service, timeliness, and the actual work done are all top notch. He has answered the phone in after-hour emergencies, he has used parts that he was saving for hi/ home on ours when we encountered product shortages and shipping delays, and he has shown up to any job - small or big- with a positive attitude. We can count on him for our personal residence and for our rental properties.

We had an issue with one of our toilets not flushing. I tried a toilet snake and realized it was bigger then I wanted to deal with. I did a quick Yelp search and then a little research and decided to request a call back. This was about 630 Saturday night. Received a prompt text and we set up a time for Sunday. The tech, Michael, showed up within the stated time and got straight to work. He didn’t mind me hovering around while he worked, even though I would have been annoyed.. he answered any questions I had and gave me a play by play as to what he was doing and what may need to be done. At the end of the day he was unable to fix the toilet issue because it was unfortunately a much bigger problem. Based on the work I experienced for this job I went ahead and hired them to do the bigger repairs after a through explanation and what I considered a fair price for the amount of work needing to be done. I would recommend them to my friends.

Called yesterday about a leaking shower and was scheduled immediately for 9AM today. They called back to reschedule due to a previous commitment at 9 and rescheduled for 12PM. Scott arrived and immediately diagnosed the issue and acquired the correct part and got us up and running again in short order. Very happy that I called them, especially that they give a military discount. I will definitely call them for my next plumbing need.

Edit: Repeat customer! Replacement of wax ring and resetting of a second toilet to fix a sneaky leak was quickly and expertly done. Our tech, Brian, was professional and courteous, returning in deteriorating weather later the same day to repair a leak that was inconsistent in its presentation, and Tricia, in the office was so understanding and delightful. Service was very reasonably priced too. Wouldn't call anywhere for plumbing issues.

Analysis of, and repair/replacement of leaking toilet was accomplished in less than 48 hours. Our service tech, Ricky Rivers, was excellent! Professional, courteous, honest, efficient, very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Will definitely request him for any future plumbing problems. Robin at Baybreeze made a shocking number of mistakes when hired to fix an exterior gas leak, dragging out what should have been done in 3 days to a full 3 weeks.

After ‘fixing’ the leak the first time, we learned from the city that his work failed inspection, and the lines were still leaking. After ‘fixing’ it a second time, VBG turned our gas back on, but the technician discovered an uncapped line spilling out beneath our deck. Had the technician not caught this and corrected Robin’s negligence, the consequences could have easily been catastrophic for us.

After coming out a third time, the leaks were finally fixed and the lines capped, but he proceeded to install a valve he’d removed earlier for no clear reason (it wasn’t the one leaking) in the wrong spot, and we ended up once again with gas cut off to our gas pack furnace, and our tankless water heater.

After all of this was finally settled, he proceeded to overcharge us by about $250 above what we’d agreed upon, citing the cost of a second pressure test (a test that would not have been necessary had he simply done his job right the first, or even second time around).

Robin was full of excuses at every turn, but all in all, based on my experience he and his company did not demonstrate the competence or reliability necessary to safely work on natural gas. I feel he left my home and my family at risk, and I cannot recommend that anyone hire him in the future.

He was very professional and even though it was late at night he showed up and was very respectful and willing to help me out when I was in distress I really appreciated it!

After a miscommunication with the first plumber, Andrew at A1 was very responsive, addressed all concerns, and sent a highly professional plumber the next day to install my tankless water heater. The coordination team worked well through the whole process. Happy with the results.

Brian was very professional and friendly. He was on time and explained everything in an easy to understand format. There was no pressure whatsoever to buy their product. Had we decided to buy the product we would definitely purchase from American Mechanical.
