Randy C. was great! I had a window of 8am-noon and he was at my house before 830am. he was very professional and personable. I had been recommended to Atomic by some family friends, and I'm happy I went with them to get our garbage disposal replaced. Randy also gave me some extra magnets for my 2 year old and 4 year old-- my 2 year old son was super excited about that :) Thanks again!

Very pleased with the repairs to my ac/heating system! Most importantly, Mr. Williams was very trustworthy in that he did not try to sell me a new system when my existing system was repairable. I also appreciated his clear explanation of the issues and the reasonable costs to complete the repair. Highly recommend.

This family owned company was our first HVAC call since moving to VA from a different state. From talking to Mrs. Carolyn on the phone to then having her husband and grandson come out the same day- it was the best experience for a new homeowner. I am pregnant and they really wanted to make sure my AC was working correctly and before they left. I will never, not call this company when I need some help! Thank you Mr. Dodd and family!!

While I had put off this repair for some time, I finally bit the bullet and called to get the appointment. A-1 had replaced my hot water heater after a major leak a few years ago and I knew that they were reputable. It was easy to ignore this new problem. Faro was extremely well spoken and obviously knew what he was doing. His work was excellent, well done and very neat. My experiences with A-1 have been top of the line. I highly recommend them.

Jim Bertolino's 40 year's of plumbing expertise was necessary for the work I had done. I was fortunate enough to find Jim after shopping around with his competitors who were quoting me ridiculous prices for installing a water line for the freezer. I have to add that Jim's patience and understanding of his craft made it easier for him to explain what work was being performed. If you are in search of a reliable and honest plumber in the 757 area look no further.

The tech. was very friendly and courteous. He was honest about the work we wanted and suggested to replace faucet instead of just replacing gaskets. He suggested it would be more efficient for us. He got the work done quickly and was very neat about his work.

Jason (All American kinda Guy!) was very helpful and always returned my call, he allows you to send pictures to avoid wasting time! They came out the next day to replace a leaking hot water heater, which required removing the dryer to get the old equipment out and install the new, then hauled away the broken heater. They did a great job and provided pictures since we have a tenant in the home. The invoice was received via e-mail, allowing payment with a simple click. How efficient - especially for an out of town landlord! We are very pleased and will use them for all of our plumbing needs in the future.

I specifically chose this place because of the reputation of them based on their google reviews, however.... i cant agree with any of them. I made an appointment last week needing a quote (not work performed) but a quote to have a gas line run and it was scheduled today between the hours of 8 and 12. I call around 11 to get an update to see when they were planning to come because I had taken the morning off of work, and at that time they told me the plumber was in Williamsburg and was still on the job that needed about 45 minutes on top of 25-30 minute travel time to get to my house. It is now 5:48pm and not once have I received a phone call from the plumber nor the office stating that they were coming to do the estimate or whether an issue came up and needed to reschedule. We are on a time crunch to purchase appliances.... the sale expires tomorrow, so now not only do I miss out on the sale, but have absolutely NO IDEA how much it costs to run a line to determine whether or not we should purchase the gas stove that I would like or just a regular one like we have. I have already sold our current stove and those people are awaiting the call to come and pick it up. So, I've called other plumbers in the area and they don't have an appt soon enough so here we are back to square one.... so thanks for that!

Called A-1 American because we had no ac on our upstairs unit. This was our first experience with A-1. The air was blowing, but not cold air. Technician came out and seemed to be very knowledgeable. He recommended that he do a electronic leak check on the outside unit. I was thinking the original diagnostic fee of $78 would cover it. The starting price for the leak check was $525.00! But, he did give me a couple discounts and knocked it down to $249.00. I was thinking $249.00 was kind of high. This leak check took all but 5 minutes and he determined that I was completely out of R-22. With that being said, the whole unit has to be replaced! So now the price is $4449.00 (but they will waive the $249). I told him that I would have to think about. Needless to say I called and got a second opinion from a different company. This technician did a leak check but there was no charge. He found that an o-ring was missing on the outside unit and replaced it. He also determined that my R-22 was about half full and not completely out. He charged it up and after a month I still have cold ac blowing. I was charged a total $129 for the added R-22 and the diagnosis. I was curious and asked if I could get a quote if I had to replace the unit and I was quoted $3,500 for a top of the line brand.
