Called to have them replace drain plug in bathtub & clogged drain. They were very nice & came out the next day which was good. My complaints are that they didn’t have drain plug on truck & the guy didn’t know if he could get one (I guess mine is smaller than normal). My other complaints are they left the bathroom a filthy mess & no one wore a mask! I overheard the owner ask one guy how he felt & he said it was still hard to breathe. I hope he didn’t have COVID because both my brother & I have cancer! Not sure whether I would use again.

I do NOT recommend this business. I paid $670 for a shower leak repair that never got fixed. I am very dissatisfied with their work. I found them via Thumbtack where I specifically posted I had a shower that was leaking and needed a faucet replaced, but after they worked on it for two days the problem was never fixed. Water kept leaking from my shower head, even after the faucet was closed all the way off. When they first came to my home, I spoke to business owner, I believe his name is David, I explained that as a temporary fix I installed a shower head with an on/off button. I told him that a while ago, someone else who looked at the shower suggested removing the entire faucet from the pipes and replacing it with a new one as it also was not delivering hot water. I explained that in order to do this they would’ve had to break part of the wall to get behind it as it did not have access elsewhere. David said he understood and that he would fix the leak. He worked on it for a bit that day, then said he needed to return as they needed parts. He quoted me around $670. I thought it was high but I did not haggle and agreed. I asked to pay half on that day and then the other half when the job was completed. He agreed, and went off to buy the part. He returned but said that he needed to wait another day for the part to be delivered. When he returned the next day (around three hours late) I was not able to be present but I allowed him to continue the work as I believed he understood the situation and perceived him as a professional. When he was done, he called me and told me the valve was replaced and that it no longer leaked, saying that he even waited minutes to make sure no leak happened. I thanked him and paid him the remaining amount. When I returned home, the leak was still present. I called him and expressed the leak still happened and he said he would return later in the evening to check it out. But he was not able to make it as he was busy and said he would come the following day around noon to check it out. The next day I came home early and I kept texting him, calling him, on which seemed to be a GOOGLE VOICE number, I left voicemails, and he did not reply for almost the entire day. Finally towards the late afternoon he answered saying that he was not able to come back as he was very busy with other projects, and because he believed the job was completed. When I told him the leak was still happening he blamed it on the shower head I had temporarily installed to stop the leak. He said he did replace a valve, which apparently was my original ask, and he expressed that next time I shouldn’t make recommendations as he is the educated plumber unlike myself in a very degrading manner. I told him that any advice I had given him in regards to what was needed was just from my perception as I am not a plumber whatsoever. I kept pleading him to return and continue to fix the leak but he said I was talking in circles and that he would not return unless I paid him for the visit, and even more for any further repairs. I told him that he was free to call me back when he came to his senses as I am a very dissatisfied customer and the initial job was not complete, but he never called back.

At 4 I call, lady tells me ,yep you are on the board next available tech, shouldn't be long. at 6 I call again and am told paging tech now they will call you shortly.I was supposed to leave for work at 5. at 8 told my wife if they call tell them to #$%^%$$!!! no one ever called or showed up as of sunday 3 pm.

Used them about a year ago to change a stem in our bathtub shower knob because the hot water wouldn't shut off completely. The service tech who came out said it's best to change them both at the same time. From the moment he came through the front door, he started complaining about how he got hurt doing something and he wasn't able to totally focus on what he was doing. He was here for all of 10 minutes and charged me an outrageous price. So, I called the company and explained that he was complaining about being medically unable to focus and that the charge was a ripoff. They did refund part of the charge. $85 if I remember correctly. However, I forgot all about that and called the company last Tuesday, 8-6-19, asking for an estimate to completely install a bathroom ventilation fan. The lady on the line said she would contact the person who does that sort of job and would get back to me. I called today, 8-12-19, because I never heard back from her. She put me on hold to connect me with the person who can install the fan. She came back from hold, read my name and address to me, told me I paid by check in January, and then told me that their company has blocked any/all service to my home because I called them complaining about them ripping me off and poor the service I received for the 10 minute exchange of bathtub stems and they had to give me a partial refund. I told her that is fine, I remember the incident now, and that I do not want to use them after remembering what happened. I also told her I was going to post about this call online and suggest that others beware using this company. She didn't seem bothered and I'm sure the owner or someone with the company will respond with something that will twist what I've just explained, as I've read on other replies, however, what I have explained is the truth. Don't waste your money on this company.*Response from Airco is incorrect, and twisted. I was not given a cost for the job performed upfront. I was told it would be a service call cost of $85, (which the company states in their response is the service call charge), the tech would assess the job and then tell me how much it would cost. However, the tech was complaining about his injury and not being able to totally focus, told me he needed to replace both stems, did the job and then told me how much he was charging when he was finished. When he told me the stems for the tub were about $10 or less apiece, I figured the job wasn't going to cost much at all for the 10 minutes it took him to exchange them, and I just wanted him to leave so I wouldn't have to hear anymore about his injury. Very unprofessional. Furthermore, after he left, I checked the tub faucets, and he had the hot water handle turning backwards. It took quite sometime for us to learn to turn it the wrong way and not get scalded. I don't remember it being so very long ago that we had service from Airco, 6.5 years as they stated in the reply, however, it may have been. All I know is the lady on the phone said January. However long ago it was, I had forgotten about the horrible service and the ripoff cost of the service or I never would have called them. Any good company knows that they must take responsibility for their actions/employees. After reading all the responses from Airco, it appears they don't seem to care what people think about them. I know the customer isn't always right, however, I know the company isn't always right, either. In this case, the company is at fault for their terrible customer service and price gouging. They just don't want to take responsibility and would rather blame the customer than themselves. It's sad, really, because I remember a time when companies cared about their reputations and strived to make their customers happy. Now, we have companies on social media spewing nonsense about customers and twisting the truth, which is not only extremely unprofessional, but, shines a very bright light on the lack of customer care and price gouging tactics used by companies such as Airco.
