We contacted Half Moon Plumbing concerning several issues we were having inside our home. They came to our home, on time, and performed diagnostics, identifying these issues. One circulating pump, which provided hot water for our heated master bath floor was not working and was replaced, and several minor plumbing repairs/replacements performed. Two additional circulating pumps were recommended for replacement, as well as a small electric water heater to provide instant hot water for the master bath faucets and shower.
All work was done on time. Tommie performed these services. He was timely, knowledgeable and efficient. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Sam Keely was professional from the beginning. He called to let me know he was on his way and that he would arrive at the scheduled time of 800. They reach out the morning of you appointment to confirm you will be available and give you a general idea as to when they should be there. Then you receive a text when your plumber is in route to your house. Not just any text but a text with a photo and some information about the person coming to your home! Nathan was very professional. We fought all day with our warranty company and finally was approved to get someone out here. He was here within 10-15 minutes of our call. Had it fixed and showed us what was going on within 30 min.

Needed help with gas fireplace as it was not lighting. After Nathan explained how their service worked and what I would be billed for (as we all know we hate getting a higher bill than expecting) after problem is found and I agreed they went to work. After about 10 minutes he found our issue, resolved it and was out the door. Very professional and great communication. Will for sure use Half Moon Plumbing in the future.

Nathan had a pleasantness about him and provided us with information before he repaired a couple sinks and then ran diagnostics on our hot water heater and leak in our garage. He then presented us with more information and options regarding replacing our water heater. (he may have done more plumbing work, and I thought I already submitted a review like a week ago)

After trying another plumber who used old technology, I called Half Moon who guaranteed they used updated equipment with a grease cutting fitting and higher rpm cable unit. It took some doing but Evan broke through my grease clog and then scoped out line and found I had a belly area in my clean out line where the pipe wasn’t sloped correctly. He made some suggestions on how to keep line clear and offered a product I could apply monthly to keep line clear as a preventative.

Eric sent his first text at 7:45 AM and said he was on his way. Very knowledgeable, personable, and professional. He was very thorough with his explanations. Will definitely use again.

I have used Half Moon Plumbing twice now. Both times I have been very pleased with the results. In today's world it's hard to find someone that truly takes pride in their work. Are they the cheapest plumber out there, no. However, they do the job right the 1st time which will save you money and a headache. We had a wonderful experience with our plumber, Nathan. He was professional, prompt, knowledgeable, and just genuinely nice. I called half moon plumbing for a leaking water heater. Tommy was at my house within the hour. Gave me a reasonable estimate, and put in a new water heater within 2 hours. Also, found an issue with our furnace which could have been deadly. Very prompt, efficient, and courteous. Did a great job! Would very highly recommend half moon, and will use again for future work.

Lets start with the beginning. Master bath shower/tub/sink would not drain. Set up an appointment with the office that treated me like a customer and they were there to solve my problems. On the day of the visit they called in the morning to narrow in on a time that would satisfy ME. Before arrival a text is sent with a pic and short narrative of their experience so you know who to expect. With a remote camera Tommy was able to see down the pipes and identified that a SQUIRREL had gotten into the drain system and clogged the system! Tommy let me watch and answered all my questions (I can be bothersome) with a smile on his face. I learned a lot. He got on the roof with his equipment and extracted the squirrel from my pipes. Incredible. Took a total of an hour and a half. Fantastic service and outcome. I am replacing my tub later this winter with a free standing model and will need some plumbing work, I know who I am calling! Tommy, stand by.

Calling Half Moon first will be the best decision you could ever make. They had to go through my slab to make a repair on an old cast-iron pipe. Highly impressed. They truly have set the bar. If you use them once, you will be a customer for life.

My tech was wonderful throughout the entire process. He even moved my plants and was careful to get under the house. Called me throughout the day so I could access my bathroom when possible and sent me photographs of what he was seeing. I called another local company I have used in the past to come out twice and both times they charged me a consult fee and did nothing so I called Half Moon after a friend recommended them. They scheduled me for a specialist with historic homes and he fixed everything the same day he came. Great service, great techs, great value for the exceptionally high quality of work.

We had a massive increase in water usage from 2,000 gallons per month to 36,000 gallons at a rental home that we own near the Cherry Street District. With that much water usage, we obviously had an underground service line leak or break. I called 6 Tulsa plumbing companies who had a multitude of 5 Star ratings on Google, all of whom wanted anywhere from $200 to $300 (to be applied to the job, if selected to do the work) to come out and inspect and diagnose the problem and try to locate the leak, which showed no signs of existence, such as soggy ground in the yard or standing water anywhere, inside or outside of the house.

Half Moon was one of the last calls I made, since they happened to be further down on the Google search results. Half Moon offered to come out at no charge, to evaluate and inspect. That made a huge difference for us since we felt they were there to really help and not just log another trip charge (which I do acknowledge as being necessary to cover the cost of plumbing companies running all over town giving estimates to potential customers). Half Moon also had dozens of 5 Star reviews to support their commitment to quality service. Our home also has an unused garage apartment in the backyard, which was just being used for storage. At first blush, it looked like a potential $1,700 to $3,000 job to install a new service line from the city's water meter to the house. But upon further investigation Half Moon discovered a shut off valve in our basement which feeds the water line to the garage apartment. They shut that valve off and the water meter ceased to indicate water flow. Thus the problem was solved and the leak stopped. With no plans to use the garage apartment for anything other than storage, we escaped without a large repair bill since the leak was beyond the house, going to the garage apartment. Tommy who came out, has worked plumbing jobs in midtown Tulsa for over 20 years and is intimately familiar with underground conditions in which he said there were no signs of standing water or a soggy yard, because there are so many ways for water to escape in the subterranean ground structure (storm drains, rock formations, etc). Thus it can easily disappear underground without coming to the surface. In the end, I offered to pay them for their time, since they quickly offered advice and a solution which did not require a huge expenditure. So we paid them for a diagnostic charge of $125, and will definitely call them at any time we have plumbing needs. This is a highly reputable company with very high ethics and integrity. I am impressed.

Half Moon is a Top Shelf Company. I’ve used them before for scheduled work which was outstanding but this is the first emergency that I’ve used them for. This morning I heard a loud noise and water was gushing from my hot water tank. In a panic I called Half Moon. Darlene took my call, made sure I had everything turned off and absolutely jumped through hoops to get me fixed up. Spencer was dispatched, offered me options on the tank replacement and got right to it. The work is professional, good quality and a fair price. My stress level went from a 10 to non existent. I like the process half moon uses. They have been more than helpful getting to the diagnosis of the water leak. I talked to them 3 different times and each time they were very helpful. They even did a site visit to inform me a little more about what needed to be done. Once I got to the point of getting the repair done they got me schedule quickly. The guys arrived on time. But I really like the fact they text you ahead of time and let you know who is coming out to do the work. A little bio of the person and their picture. The two gentleman that arrived to do the work were very polite and explained everything. Did the job and finished the work quickly. I would use them again without hesitation. I had a water leak in my location two and a half weeks ago and my brother suggested to call Halfmoon Plumbing. Darlene answered my call pleasantly. She was very friendly and answered my initial questions and after a more detailed description of my situation, she said it might be a slab leak. She scheduled a service visit at my location to do a leak detection.

On the day of the scheduled service, they texted me a courtesy notice 30 minutes before arriving at my location including the name and picture of the technician. Sam Keeley introduced himself politely and we talked about the problem I was encountering. He explained the leak detection process and how much time the process might take. I was curious to see what he was doing and he had this equipment trying to detect where the leak was. After a while, he found the leak behind the bathroom lavatory, updated me, and told me how he would fix the problem. It would entail removal of the sink and vanity cabinet, opening up the floor and wall below, doing some excavation, and do the necessary fix. Darlene from their office accommodated me at the soonest possible time which was the following week instead of two or three weeks, and I appreciated this so much. Sam was on time, removed the sink and vanity cabinet very carefully, opened up the floor as little as possible, cut a small piece of the bottom wall, excavated the small area well, and completed the job in less than four hours. I expected it would be a whole day thing but it wasn’t. In the process he found small problems like replacing parts of my shower to make it more functional and a faucet that I thought wasn’t working but he found out the valve was just shut off. Included in the job was replacing the toilet bowl. Before he left, he cleaned his work area well, took the waste, and everything was neat and tidy. He answered all my questions with confidence. I contacted him the next days for some more questions and he responded quickly. He is very professional and knowledgeable. I waited a week to do this review so I can observe the changes after he fixed the hot water leak problem. Since then, everything seems to be working well now. I highly recommend Halfmoon Plumbing and their technicians for your plumbing needs! Five stars for reliability and professionalism, promptness, quality service, competitive price, and value!

Spencer was right on time and immediately got to work. Our drain blockage was tough to get unblocked.
Thought he had it cleared but as he was driving away I ran my garbage disposal and no drainage. The water and contents would not go down. We immediately called him and he came back and had to disconnect the P trap under the kitchen sink and run the snake down that drain. Finally, he got it unstopped.
I do have a suggestion that when any plumber has to bring their equipment into the house that they first put down a heavy plastic or an absorbent material to keep the water and contents in the drain off the floor. That makes quite a mess on hardwood.

This is our second time using Half Moon Plumbing and if we have a need in the future we will definitely give them a call.

We called Half Moon for some help with an upstairs bathtub/shower that was leaking constantly and to replace a toilet in a downstairs bathroom. The house is an older house, and has older plumbing, so it presented a few challenges when doing the faucet repair and toilet installation that were unexpected. Spencer Johnson spent most of the day working through these problems with the utmost patience and professionalism, and in the end, the cost was very reasonable considering the amount of trouble they had to go to to accommodate us. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the Tulsa area.

Had a drain clog up Saturday, by Monday morning Half Moon Plumbing was called to the rescue, they were able to get a tech out that morning faster than estimated and he was very quick to unclog the drain and ensure it was fully operating. Recently had a major plumbing issue and made a call to Half Moon and one other company. Half Moon won me over with their friendly phone conversation and general concern for my family's situation. I called on Monday morning and was told it wouldn't be until Wednesday when they could come out due to the current workload (which I completely understood). They ended up calling me Monday afternoon to inform me that they would be coming by to take a look at the issue. They were at my house in 20 minutes. The guy that showed up (Tommy G.) was polite and kept me informed the whole way. He also gave me two options to fix/prevent the issue and was upfront about the cost. When they came out to perform the work on Wednesday morning they started working right away and let me know of any help they needed from me and what they would be doing. They worked very hard in the blistering heat and were able to get the plumbing situation resolved and the water turned back on at the end of the day. Even before my service person, Sam, arrived, I received a text letting me know he was on his way. The text included Sam's photo and a short bio, which I really appreciated as both good business and a helpful safety measure. Sam was kind, professional, and very knowledgeable. After resolving the original service call item, and at my request and encouragement, Sam walked me through my home and talked to me about various plumbing considerations I should keep in mind for the future and for equipment longevity.
I could not have been more impressed with Sam and his assistant/apprentice, Andrew (sorry, not sure the best term).

Other bonuses-

+ At no point did I feel like I was being condescended to. Sam answered all of my questions directly and in a way that didn't discourage me from asking questions.
+ My invoice included pictures of the work done, other concerns, and a brief description of what was done, which is a huge help when keeping a maintenance record.
+ Sam notified me of a plumbing-adjacent issue that will require the service of a roofer. Sam offered to speak directly to the roofing company contact if they have questions about what he saw while he was on the roof/in the attic.
+ Sam and Andrew both introduced themselves to my dog, which always makes things easier since the dog isn't wigging out about who is in the house the entire time.
+ While Sam and Andrew were at my home, my kitchen faucet began to leak. Sam very quickly identified the issue and filled me in how common this sort of minor leak is with a sprayer hose and showed me what to check and tighten if it happens again in the future.

I called several plumbers to handle an urgent issue, and Half Moon was able to come the soonest. When setting up the appointment, they advised on what I could do in the meantime. Spencer was prompt, knowledgeable, and fixed the problem while educating me on how to take care of it in the future. I appreciated the text to let me know when he would arrive and the emailed receipt. He also left everything very clean. I will definitely use them in the future!

Eric came out and was able to unclog are line within a short period of time and offered some suggestions which we intend to use, purchase in the future. This company is top notch! After calling several other companies to get someone out and being told it would be at least a week, these guys were able to come out the next day to help find why the sewer line was plugged. A couple of days later they had a crew onsite and were able to get a new sewer tap and line installed. Even though the mainline tap was deeper than suspected which caused more time excavating, they stuck to their original quote. Eric was great to work with. He kept me informed of what was going on and did excellent work.

Anytime you hire a skilled trade to do a job, it's not going to be cheap. But these guys did the job right and I feel like it was worth it now having peace of mind that this sewer line will not have any issues for the foreseeable future.

Great service! Arrived very quickly, service was completed thoroughly and the workers did a great job explaining what they had fixed (including video!) and provided tips on how to prevent future damage. Also, great personalities, friendly service with genuine smiles. Very impressed.

GREAT COMMUNICATION AND THOUGHTFUL WORK TASK

Technician called prior to arrival and I received a text with his picture. He checked the shower and finished the repair quickly. He then performed an overall inspection of my sinks and toilets and pointed out some things that I need to address before there is a problem. I have used Half Moon before and will continue to call them for my plumbing issues.

Called on a Wednesday early morning, way before their business hours and left a message. No hot water, HELP!!!!. Phone call returned before 8:00am and had a worker to the house at 8:20ish.
We were told the water heater had given us its all, but now it was time for a replacement. Given options and the earliest time they could have it repaired. Come Friday morning at 8:00am sharp, Eric Critchnau and his partner arrived at our home. We chose to go with the tankless water heater. I still had questions and Eric took the time and explained everything and in detail. When the wife arrived and she had questions Eric took the time and answered everything, trust me she had a lot of questions. (the system we chose is an investment) Install looks very clean and Eric walked us through everything.
We could not be happier with the service that we received. Will totally recommend Half Moon Plumbing and Eric!

Had estimates that range from $1100-$550 and all my toilet tank needed was new gaskets in the tank to stop the leak cost me $13 and I supplied my own labor..

Tommy with Half Moon installed a shower valve for me last November and when I called them saying it was leaking Tommy was able to come the next day to fix it. I cannot say enough good things about Tommy. Half Moon has always been prompt and extremely personable. They never make you feel like you're wasting their time. Huge thumbs up!

I reached out to Half Moon when I ran into an unusual issue while installing a new shower faucet. They called me first thing Monday morning and were able to come out the next day. Our plumbing tech Nathan called me that morning to give me an idea of what time he’d arrive. He gave me another call when he was on his way as well as a text with his picture and some info about him. Once he arrived he quickly diagnosed the issue, gave me an estimate and got to work. He worked quickly and made sure to show me the repair prior to covering it up again. The guys at Half Moon were very courteous and professional. I had made the mistake of not calling them first. When the first plumber I called cancelled on me, they were there. I had a put a nail through a copper pipe very close to the floor. Tommy was able to get it fixed in about a half an hour and didn't have to jackhammer the slab. Saved me hundreds. Matthew a technician for Half Moon Plumbing came out to my house yesterday and fixed my leaky sink. He was professional and did a good job. My garbage disposal was leaking he took it off of my sink put it back on and tightened it up. Stopped leaking.

Spencer went above and beyond to help with my drain issue. He determined it was a city problem. Even went around the neighborhood checking the city main lines. I will definitely use half moon again and request Spencer.

Eric did a good job of explaining what he was doing and why. He sought approval a couple of times for additional work before he began the work to make sure it was okay. About 3 hours to swap a hot water heater out and bring everything up to code.

The plumbing tech that helped us switch from a standard hot water tank to a new tankless unit really knew his stuff. He came out to do an initial inspection and estimate. He explained everything that would be required for the installation and the types of tankless units we could go with. The installation was done professionally and cleanly with everything plumbed and routed as expected. I know we're going to enjoy having a constant supply of hot water while saving on our monthly gas bills.

Also want to mention that I read the Half Moon Plumbing newsletter every month. When you see the kind of situations they are able to resolve for homeowners (where no one else could), you can see how committed they are to solving issues the right way, no matter how difficult the task is.
