Everyone from scheduling to service were great. Honest, to the point, and knowledgeable. They were able to fit me into their busy schedule withing hours...SAME DAY!!! I would recommend them in the Newport Mesa are for sure. FYI- they replaced the pilot assembly kit/thermocouple in my GE water heater. Not an easy task as it requires dis-assembly and taking the heater pan out.

Josh came out to replace water shutoff valve and hose bibs. He was a pleasure to work with. He got the job done neatly and in a timely manner.

Quick responses to our request on the same day, and reasonable price for unclogging kitchen sink and dishwasher drain.Zach is especially professional, in that he not just did an amazing job on fixing our problems, but also provided analysis and a couple of options to further clean up the blockage in the sewer pipe, the origin of our plumbing problems. We gladly chose one, and Derrick and Carlos came in the next day to conduct Hydro jetting. They were very considerate to come the second time in two hours just to accommodate our meeting schedule. We are very happy they cleaned up the work place very well, and followed with phone calls from Zack and office.Overall, very impressed onsite experience and smooth communication with technicians and office staff at Barker & Sons, we will be going to them for my future plumbing needs.

I had a toilet leak that was flooding my neighbors ceiling. I was out of town unable to go see the damage. Picked this company based on the reviews. I was scheduled with Luis. Before any inspection he tells me in order to see where the leak is coming from we need to remove the ceiling downstairs - but first we need to test for asbestos. I had to schedule for asbestos test and it came positive. The. Hired a company to remove the asbestos ceiling. I spent $2k before they can even identify the leak. Red flags everywhere. Luis comes back and tells me he used his camera and found the leak is from the toilet flange. Quotes me $3700 to replace it! Says if i dont go with their company i owe them $400 for finding the issue! (I thought they said free estimate- dont fall for that). Well, it was Sunday and my neighbors ceiling was open, i wanted to get the issue fixed asap so that everyone can use their bathroom. I asked Luis if he can reduce the price because it was so much money - right away he came down to $3200 and said they will deduct the $400 for inspection (they never did). The work was done in less than 3 hours according to my neighbors who sent me updates. I paid the invoice without realizing the $400 initial fee for finding the leak was not deducted. I called and asked for a detailed invoice. The invoice i was sent was far from detailed and I was never refunded that fee. I spoke to Tony who tried to defend the $3200 charge to change a toilet flange. Please be aware. I would recommend to look for a honest plumbers. I definitely feel robbed by this company. They took an advantage of my situation when i need someone i could trust. Costly lesson for me.
