Tweedie Plumbing came the day after another plumbing company replaced a garbage disposal unit and cleared the outflow pipe which apparently had been blocked. One hour later the pipe was blocked again! Rather than go back to the plumber, I called Tweedie on the advice of my neighbor.

Turns out the pipe was blocked with a plug of grease that the previous plumber deliberately left there (when I called to complain that the drain was still blocked they said i needed a special jet cleaning that would cost $1500).

Joe from Tweedie cleared the grease, replaced the garbage disposal unit and everything is fine.

Moral of the story: Check the Contractor's License on the State website. The first company has a history of malfeasance that is mind boggling.

Last week my water heater started leaking in my garage. It was a Sunday, and the last thing I wanted to deal with was a plumbing problem. So, I decided to call around and see what pricing and stuff looked like with a couple plumbing companies. The first one, whom I won’t name here, basically wanted almost $300, and that’s just to come out and assess the problem! Who has money for that right now? So then, I called Orange Coast plumbing, and they came out, arrived on time (which rarely happens). The plumber, Chuck V, showed up (wearing a facemask! thank goodness), and diagnosed the issue. He then gave me an estimate that seemed fair or at least competitive, then replaced the water heater unit with no extra “weekend charges.” He acted like a true professional and worked with an efficiency of purpose. Call Orange Coast plumbing, and don’t mess with the rest. You will be glad you did!
