Larissa was awesome and so helpful, she responded within minutes and was so flexible. She arranged for Tracy to meet us at the house we bought within hours of us picking up the keys.
Tracy was our service guy and he was great! He worked quickly but explained everything he was doing, and knowing we just bought the house, he took the extra time to show us important things we needed to know or watch for in the future without trying to sell us anything extra.
The price was fair and the service was great.

They agreed to take a post dated check, even put it in the contract, then deposited it right away before the post date, and overdrew my checking account. The plumber they sent to do the installation was very rude. I will never use them again.

Great company. They did outdoor natural gas work for us, digging deep in the ground and going under the house. Best price we found and great, quality work. One of the employees, Sean ......, did the job with a little help from laborers for the digging. He was personable and great to work with. If the rest of the company is like Sean, I couldn't imagine doing work with any other plumber than with this company. Highly recommended and they will be the first plumber we contact for future work.

Cary and crew have been done installation, maintenance, and problem resolution for over 20 years on my very complicated HVAC systems. The system was designed by a mechanical engineer. Cary had to work through a long list of design problems and equipment failures I doubt could have been resolved by anyone but Cary. Gibson does things RIGHT!

I had used Don Weston Plumbing for a number of years, and always had to put up with the benign neglect of usually taking 5-6 calls and as many weeks to hear back from him or have him show up, since that seems to be the way it works in Truckee. Recently, Don led me on for more than 3 months for a job he said he would do, including having me pick up and pay for parts for an aspect of the job. I finally simply asked him to let me know if he was going to actually do the job, after 3+ months of excuses, weeks of rescheduling walk throughs, and more broken promises. He didn’t even have the courtesy or respect to respond, so I got another plumber to do the job. The plumbing supply house would not take back all the parts Don had me buy for the job he bailed on (some cut pipe), and Don refused to refund me for those parts. This lack of professionalism to follow through on completing a job, and not have the simply courtesy to give me a yay or nay on it, but also the ethical shortcomings for not paying for the unreturnable parts - tells you all you need to know about him. Even in a heated conversation with him about him bailing on the job, he would take no responsibility for his behavior. Tradespeople and contractors are in demand in Truckee, which breeds arrogance in some thinking they can do whatever they want and treat people with disrespect. It doesn’t take a lot to be honest and treat people with respect - Don needs some more practice. Lots of other better plumbers out there to use and avoid the headaches.

A few years ago they installed a brand new water heater inside our home. The crew did an excellent job, they were quick and efficient, and we haven't had a single issue since. They were on time and very professional. I highly recommend S&S Mechanical.

Called Big Bear Plumbing to replace my water heater which is stressful not knowing how long id be without hot water and not to mention the cost. Eric showed up very flexible schedule that really helped me out, quoted me what the cost would be and when the work would be done... with great relief he completed the work as he had quoted on time and the best part no surprises on the bill!
