Best Basement Drains in Portland OR

Let me start off by saying we have used Roto-Rooter in the past on several occasions. So when we had a shower that wasn’t draining it was a no brainer to have them help us out again. The technician showed up for our scheduled appointment and in less than 30 minutes had the drain working as it should. The bad, they charged us a flat rate of 469.00 (more than double the cost of the previous repair for the same issue) no change in rate for the easy fix. I called in and was told a Manager would call me, which he did. He stated that was the correct flat rate charge and no room for flexibility.I work in the home service industry, we also have a flat rate service fee (substantially less than 469.00). We frequently reduce the base rate depending on the amount of time it dtake in relation to our base service call time.It is extremely unfortunate when corporate greed overrides the value of services preformed! We will never use Roto-Rooter again and I will make sure my friends and family do not use them either. I feel it is my duty to inform as many people as possible of how this company is charging their customers. Shame on you Roto-Rooter!

Great customer service from the initial call until the tech, Vinnie arrived. He called me while on his drive over with an ETA and when he arrived he was polite, professional, and even put on a pair of booties. I couldn't be happier. Had a clog in my tub, mainly due to my cat throwing things down the drain, and gave Grumpy's a call. I got a call back within 45 minutes APOLOGIZING for not calling me back sooner. And an appointment the next morning at 9am.

Both the woman on the phone, and the man who came out to do the work (husband and wife) were efficient and helpful, the work was done quickly, and he even showed me how to pull some parts off my tub and take a look myself next time so I don't have to call him.

I honestly don't know what unclogging a drain costs, but Grumpy's charges a flat rate to get it done however long it takes. Knowing the cost up front made this far more pleasant for me.

I was very impressed with Mick, he was friendly, did a great job on my repair and worked quickly. I will definitely contact him again if needed. I highly recommend.
