Best Water Heater Repair in Portland OR

I called for a quote on my annual Back Flow check and spoke with Tina who said they charge $139/hr with minimum 15 min billings, with no estimate of time required to complete the job, plus a $12.95 fee to rent a 'pressure gauge'.
The other Back Flow providers I checked with charge between $40 to $60 for the service; no additional fees, no timed billings.
If the DeTemple service were 1/2hr, their price is still 50% greater than the $40 service I just booked with All Seasons Backflow.

Called to get an estimate on replacing my 30 year old hot water heat. Dylan arrived during the prescribed time but got upset when I asked him to show some sort of company ID. He did not project any sense of customer service and was not knowledgeable of the tier ratings for the new hot water heaters. He was mildly disrespectful to say the least. If their techs are like this, I will not recommend this company to others.

We have used them in that past and once again they gave us Great Service on short notice and our drain is clear and we are able to do dishes!!

Terrible experience. I called at 8:42 a.m. and was promised a technician between 10:00 and 2:00 p.m. for an emergency issue. I specifically asked whether that was realistic and was assured that it was and they could help. At 10:00 I received a brief voicemail indicating they would not come after all. As a result I lost more than an hour of time to find an emergency plumber on a Saturday. When I called to express concern, I was told my original call didn’t come in until 9:39 (contrary to the actual record on my phone) and dismissively told “you only called 20 minutes ago.” I understand that everyone is dealing with short staffing, but this business needs to fix its process ASAP. The call takers are disconnnected from the process and ill-informed. This business should honestly inform callers during intake that they may not be able to help.

Ken Scott was the plumber on our brand new house. When a problem arose with our sump pump, I reached out to have him come take a look. Between my husband and I, we called almost a dozen times over 2 months and received NO answer. I even left a message stating that I'm new to the Portland area, if he can't help me could he please recommend someone else. NOTHING. Do not waste your time trying to get a hold of Ken at KTP Plumbing. Worthless and disappointing.

Tim was nice enough but REALLY? $185 to snake a drain? He arrived at 2:30 and was pretty much done by 3:15 but took 10-15 minutes to write up the invoice. Then said he charged me for 20 minutes of driving on top of the hourly rate of $120 an hour for a total of $150 labor. Plus $35 dollars for a pop-up. They cost about $10. I didn't ask him to replace it. I had a basket in there which I choose to use to catch debris. My drain was already disassembled when he arrived and he didn't need to trouble shoot the problem. I didn't have a leak in my p-trap before he did the work but when he reassembled it he tightened one of the rings too tight and now it
leaks. SO I have to go buy another one. I'm not so happy about this service today. I feel like because I'm a woman he took advantage of me.

Tim Rowe, of Rowe Plumbing and Drain, was extremely fast and professional. He didn’t overcharge me for the sake of an emergency. Having annual root issues in my drain, the nice lady in the office offered maintenance reminders. What a great idea and service to provide! 12 out of 10 would call Rowe Plumbing and Drain for their fast, professional and courteous service. Absolutely recommend!

I've used Derek and Garden Home Plumbing probably 8 times across 3 homes and have been very happy every time. Derek does great work and his pricing is very competitive.

Beau just left my house seconds ago and I feel so compelled to give him a great 5 star review immediately. As a homeowner, it feels so good when you know you've got a skilled technician you know you would use for any future needs, whether it be a plumber, electrician, carpenter, etc. I know I've found my plumber and I like that feeling a lot. Beau is incredibly friendly and generous with his time and knowledge. He quickly fixed the issue but then he also talked through other things to be aware of as specifically relates to my house and plumbing for the future. He coached me on addressing plumbing emergencies in the future, he looked at a totally unrelated question I had and helped me better understand it. I don't believe he charges an estimate fee but regardless we just fixed it on the spot once he looked at it and diagnosed it. Of the companies we called, he was also the fastest to respond (and the only with a free estimate). He is an owner operator and I am a more confident home owner knowing that I can call him and refer others to him.

Doug Nash is hands down the best plumber I’ve ever had, does high quality work but still very affordable. He seems very genuine and honest, doesn’t upsell any services. Really took a lot of time to explain the options for my plumbing issue and what he thought would be best. Replaced old rusty galvanized pipe with high quality PEX, Finished work looks amazing, even fixed a couple things he bumped into along the way and didn’t charge me extra. Seems like a very meticulous guy who takes pride in his work. Very punctual and also responsive to communications. HIGHLY recommend, have nothing but great things to say about Nash Plumbing and will be using him for all my future plumbing needs.

I have had terrible water pressure since I bought my house 5 years ago. It took forever for the water to run warm anywhere-we just got used to that. After my house was re-piped, the difference is incredible! I am so thrilled to have had this project completed and I will refer My Plumbing to anyone for their plumbing needs.

Additionally, they found a ring behind my bathroom vanity that is very special to my mom and she is beyond excited to have it recovered. ☺
