Best Water Filtration Systems in Pittsburgh PA

In the midst of a kitchen reno for a tenant, the plumber went missing, so I had to replace him quickly. I called Chad at Proudfoot and he and partner were able to come that same day. They proposed to come out and give me a bid, and come back to do the work another time. I told Chad that I didn't have time for that, and asked him to come prepared to do the job.

In all fairness, he did provide the price prior to doing the work, but they knew that I was not in a position to find another plumber. The prices were outrageous. $562.00 for garbage disposal + installation; $362.00 to install a kitchen faucet; $139.00 to prep for dishwasher installation. They would not install it - as every other plumber would. So $1060.00 for ???

I texted my 2 regular plumbers who both happened to be out of town at the same time. They both could not believe the price. Three times what they would have charged, and they would have installed the dishwasher.
But the guys were nice... if that counts.

Website states 24hr emergency service. I called 2 times on Saturday 10/15 and left my info with the answering service and never heard back from anyone.

Matt Mertz Plumbing was recommended to us by two of our clients so we reached out when we needed to address an issue pertaining to our storm/sewer lateral. Technician, Chris Sperl, stopped by our home and gave me excellent advice, though it cost him the opportunity to do the work I thought I wanted. Chris was experienced, friendly, and professional. This company is completely dishonest and unreliable. I called on a Friday and the operator told me someone would be out that day. Waited all day just to have the operator call me back and cancel and rescheduled me for the next day. The next day waited all day again just to have them cancel on me again. Spoke with them asked if I should call another plumber due to the fact they canceled on me twice ,they assured me that I would be the first customer the following morning and once again they canceled. The operator is completely rude and disrespectful if you’re looking for a plumber keep looking do not call Gillece plumbing…Save yourself the headache they are completely dishonest ,unreliable and rude.And if you’re looking for reviews look on Facebook because Google has nothing but the good ones the true fact about this company is on Facebook.Wish I would’ve looked there first.

I LOVE this plumbing company! The staff here has the MOST excellent customer service I have dealt with since I moved into my home. They're professional, punctual, and fast! And the craftsmanship is PHENOMENAL!!

Steve came out to fingure out why my furnace wasn't lighting up he worked very hard to get my furnace up and running he really worked his but off to fix it and we are very grateful.

Very professional.:40 minutes of total gentle labor plus 40 minutes of driving to pick up the piece and bring it back to install it. A small resistor, which should not cost more than a few dollars. Total: US$ 399. My bad, I should have asked the hourly rate.

The installation by Allen and Josh went smoothly. They went over and above my expectations. The price I paid was exactly what was quoted, no surprises. Everything was explained to me regarding operation and maintenance of my tankless water heater. They cleaned up thoroughly and left no mess. I highly recommend Miller Plumbing and heating.

Had simple leak in the bathroom. Taggart quoted multiple thousands of dollars wanting to cut out the ceiling below. ...then I had a different plumber come out and fix it for 1 hour service. Its been 18 months and still no more leaks. It never leaked below the bathroom, so don't know why Taggart wanted to access from underneath anyway. UPDATED 05-30-23. MR TAGGART. YOU WANT ME TO CONTACT YOU SO YOU CAN HELP?? AFTER IT WAS FIXED FOR 1 HOUR SERVICE AND YOU WANTED TO CHARGE THOUSANDS. IT WAS 18 MONTHS AGO!!!

We have been using Keough for a handful of years and each time we are impressed.
A few days ago our AC unit stopped working and this team was there the next day. They explained all of our options...were NOT pushy and then sent the estimate the same evening and installed our new AC and Heater a couple days later and were completed in less than a day!

The staff worked very diligently and even came back after the job was done to fix something. However, for the amount that we paid for the entire job to be done, the overall quality really disappointed us. The cement that was put into the basement was very rough, and there didn't seem to be an effort to smooth it out to the existing cement.

Had them out a while back for a no heat problem . They told me that I had a cracked heat exchanger , and needed to replace the furnace immediately . Their quote was ridiculous . When I declined , he said he would red tag my furnace , and call the building inspector , and then I would have to leave my house until it was fixed . I asked him to show me where the crack was, but his camera conveniently died . I offered to go pick him up a battery. , but his takes “ special “ batteries. Told him to go kick rocks . Had another company come out , replace the thermocouple, and no more problems. And we looked at the heat exchanger with his camera . Couldn’t find anything . These guys are con men . Find someone with integrity to work on your home …
