Ryan was great. Quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed it. Professional and even put covers over shoes when entering home. Overall, from placing the phone call to the service tech, this experience was great!

I'm a 79 y/o senior who's furnace went out in frigid weather. The technician refused to fix the furnace because he said it was too old and dangerous. I pleaded with him to at least try but he refused and left me in the cold. I was really scared and desperate. So I called another company and they came immediately and replaced the furnace motor capacitor and the furnace is functioning properly. Waste of $79 service fee!

Boy do they know how to do the ol razzle dazzle here! I recently bought a house, I spoke with Tim a few weeks before I moved in and he said to call back once I moved in and he would come see what we had and what we needed. Well a few weeks turned into two months but I was very impressed when he remembered exactly who I was. When he came over he came empty handed, no litature no paper or pencil nothing. He lokjed downstairs then looked outside then sat on the couch and asked us if we ever bought a furnace/ac before and we said no. That's when it got really weird. It was almost as if he expected us to tell him what unit we wanted like we we're ordering a cut if meat or something. He finally went out to his truck and brought in a book in which he showed us four rectangles, good, better great, and best. The rectangles contained a lot of information we didn't understand and it was akward asking questions as he wasn't really offering information again as if we already knew what we were looking at. I couldn't even tell you the brand he was offering because he never told us. Not knowing any better we thought hey we should go for best right? And thus is where it really gets bad, I am going to use the final price of $20,000 because everytime I talked to him the price went from $16,000 to almost $20,000. I told him my credit was shot because I just bought a house and a car with in a week of each other. He ran my credit and yeah no it didn't go through, but he told me not to worry he could talk to the loan guy in the morning. He then calls me back and says with a $5000 deposit he can get me a revolving credit type loan but couldn't tell me the interest rate. He suggested the faster I pay it off the better though. I decided to look into other dealers first and boy am I glad I did. The system he was trying to sell me was way too big for my little 1039 sq ft house and they would have made a fortune off of me because it would not be able to run right shutting it's self off and burning out. The best part was he tried REALLY hard to get me credit and apparently ran my credit about eight times further destroying my credit! They are not just over priced they're a sham. He told us how they had the greatest reviews in the city and how wonderful they are and blah blah blah but he's like that drunk guy in the bar who has to tell you how wonderful he is because nothing about him shows it. Stay away.

Service members were great. The company in general are scammers and way overpriced. They charged 670 dollars to replace a 16 inch piece of black iron to a hot water tank. When they quoted it they said the price is because material is so expensive and they made it seem like there was more work they were going to do than what they did. It took them 30 minutes to do and you can get black iron for 12 dollars for 30 inches of it. Then after leaving a bad review they continuously have called and tried to bargain and even offered 100 to 150 dollars back if I would change my 1 star to a 4 or 5 star rating, but it has to be a 4 or 5 star rating to get that money. They cared more about their star ratings than they cared about the issue I had with my bill. That’s all they were focused on. They want good reviews so they can continue to overcharge people that aren’t familiar with the cost of things and the services they are getting. Im curious how many others they paid off for good ratings. I would recommend getting other quotes if you have them quote something for you or you will be over paying for the service you are having done.

Christian was very personable and knowledgeable. He fixed the issue, and explained the system to me. I know when my old system finally kicks the dust, I’ll be calling your company for installation of a new one. You have a great employee in Christian and your communication is top notch.

I woke up to n heat this morning. I called Calfo very early expecting to leave a desperate message. To my surprise someone answered. They texted me later saying they would be here between 12 and 2, which they were. The Calfo repairman was very knowledgeable. He inspected and repaired my furnace in a very timely manner. I assume cost was comparable to other companies with an emergency call as it needed a main board and a switch. I was in emergency mode and he helped me for sure. I use Calfo every year for maintenance and would recommend.

Steve was super helpful and friendly! As well as fixing my a/c, he gave me some advice on maintenance that I really appreciate.

We woke up this morning to no heat and a strange burning odor in the basement. A 6:30 a.m. emergency call is no fun for anyone, but CALFO picked up and was able to get a tech out to us ASAP. We were told the service window would be between 8 and 10 a.m....Christian arrived at 8:02 and was done by 8:30.He replaced our inducer motor and changed our filter while he was there, explaining what problems he was seeing as he went. He then helped save us some money via their VIP program. We have some more projects coming up in the near future and I look forward to working with CALFO again.

I had a great experience working with both Timothy and Jake at CALFO on the purchase and installation of a new furnace. They were professional, knowledgable, and respectful of my space and time. Between Timothy's assessment and Jake's installation, we had the new furnace ready to go in less than 24 hours. Would definitely recommend!

We have been using their services for years. All of their technicians are well-mannered, friendly & knowledgeable. They listen patiently & do excellent work - they even wear booties so they don’t get mud or dirt on your carpet. Highly recommend!!

Please don’t take this the wrong way I understand I have an older system but I felt because of that the tech was trying to upsale

Tried to charge over 500 dollars to replace a hot surface ignition. I'll give it to them for their persistence. But ultimately had to tell them to kick rocks. It cost me 25 for the part and longer to pick it up than it took to install. Some serious gouging going on.Update. They tried to refund my service call fee to remove this post.

I was halfway through installing a Nest thermostat when I realized I was way over my head. I couldn’t turn back and reinstall the old one, either. Very professional and knowledgeable. Gave me a fair estimate and options with the price around what I was expecting. I live in a 100 year old house with a library addition that has only a gas fireplace. I want to place Central Air and add heat to my library. This will require larger ducts throughout the house along with a larger furnace. Payment options also are fair. I look forward to their service in the spring!

A real person answered the phone at 10 pm the day before Christmas. We were desperate to have our home’s water restored. Jacob came on time, was very professional, identified the problem and most importantly, was able to restore our water access immediately. My husband asked me to add that he thought the price was high, but overall I was very happy.

I needed someone to come asap for my tenant as his heater was not working and I called around and couldn't find anyone to come fix it that evening. When I called Calfo, they reassured me they can get the job done and fix the heater right away. A few hours later the job was done and my tenant is happy :)

Good quality work,good technician,but VERY expensive for a garbage disposal install. Was prepared to pay maybe 250.00 not 500.00.He did let me know cost before doing the work, thought maybe fee for estimate would be deducted if work was done by them but is not.Haven’t had plumbing work done in a long time so maybe all plumbing work is this expensive. Excellent work ,but if you can’t do it yourself it will cost you. I have used Calfo before for heating and A/C and was pleased with work and price for that service.

If you want the best guys for the the job , Tim and his crew are the BEST ! I had been without gas for almost a week and the insurance would not cover so they got me financed in less then 3 minutes at the best rates and they came they next day. Tim arrived around 7:30 am and worked all day in the hot weather and was at my home until 10:30 pm that night, he said he would not leave until I had gas in my home. If you want the best do not look any further then CALFO, they are friendly, reliable and the BEST bunch of guys there are !!I am so happy these great guys came to my home, I will call them for any future problems.

DeShaun helped to install new gas pipes to our kitchen and hooked up our stove. He was fantastic to work with, efficient and did a wonderful job! He was very clear with his communication with us and helped educate us on some of the aspects of our home that we were not yet aware of. Would 100% have DeShaun and CALFO back to do any work we needed done!

The company wanted 315 dollar to fix one vent and 500 plus more for a pressure switch.... told them to leave. Ihad another company come in one hour later. The pressure switch was fine=== the line was cracked for a slow leak. Leak Repaired......My bill was 290$ and the technician fixed the vent for free.

RYAN REPLACE THE MAIN WATER VALVE IN MY HOME. VERY GOOD JOB WAS DONE. VERY EFFICIENT AND TIMELY. EXPLAINED ALL OPTIONS THAT WERE AVAILABLE TO ME AND WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE WATER COMPANY WHEN THEY ARRIVE FOR THE INSPECTION. I WAS VERY PLEASED.

They replaced a tiolet valve with a plastic one and charged $369 for total service -was here no more than 15 minutesI was told by rep on the phone that charge for diagnosis was $79 but if got work done it would be subtracted, even though the reps evenually subtracted after going back and forth-seem like between Calfo and Angi home advisor, one did not know what pricing, estimate and discounts should be. The guys were professional, and came earlier than scheduled but I felt the price was over the top.

The technician who originally came out to do an inspection but it ended up that we needed a new furnace. We knew it was getting old but didn’t know how bad it was. Steve walked me through the various units and we set up installation that day. 4 days later I had a new furnace, new A/C unit and the piece of mind that my new equipment is under warranty. Then they came out for a 3 month follow up, just to check and make sure things were 100%. Steve is a great tech, very knowledgeable and the upmost professional. I would recommend CALFO to anyone needing HVAC services.

I called them for an estimate on installing a mini-split unit for our attic master bedroom/en-suite addition we are having put in this summer. They were able to send someone out right away! From the moment I made the call to the company, it was nothing but ease and professionalism. Jacob started my smooth journey with Calfo....he WAS nothing but pleasant and extremely helpful. He assisted me with finance options that would best fit my life.The day of install, for both AC and furnace, was amazing. Jason and Dustin arrived at 8am...i even received a text AND a call confirming their arrival time. Both were beyond professional, courteous, educated and a delight.....they even worked around my animals, with care! Dustin explained what they were doing EVERY step of the way. When the job was complete, they walked me through and showed me all they had done and educated me on the proper ways to continue to care for my new systems.I HONESTLY can say I had nothing but a GREAT experience with this company. I would highly recommend this company, without hesitation.

Still waiting for several issues to be taken care of for a month after install.The owner and managers went out of town and it took 2 weeks to have someone contact me. They left exposed thermostat wires (copper showing) zip tied to a gas line after original installation. Installed the humidifier wrong which caused water to leak all over the brand new Lennox furnace. Water was all over the circuit board, motor, gas valves and all wiring. The GFI thankfully did its job and tripped. However, after the tech came out to repair the humidifier..... the furnace would not come on. The thermostat said 63 and the temperature was set at 72. I had to go and shut power off to the unit for a few minutes to get it to come on. They already replaced a thermostat and ran a new thermostat wire (wire casing is also ripped on the new wire but no copper is showing). They never hooked up the “Fan” function of the furnace. I’m worried about the longevity of the unit since it was completely drenched with water. I do have pictures but it will not let me post them. I hope they make it right or my lawyer might be getting a call. I understand mistakes happen and if they make it right then I will update this review accordingly.

Calfo mechanical has provided us with excellent service every time we needed them. Jason our technician has come out to our house several times because our old boiler parts kept breaking down on us. Jason had worked with us giving us options, we never felt pressured to be sold on anything ever. We decided to have a new boiler put in our home after Jason worked with the financing company. We had our new boiler put in and had other workers Dylan and Jake come to help with our system. All the guys have been great, very friendly, respectful of our home, they always cleaned up any area of work. We have been extremely pleased with their work and our new boiler works great!

Ryan and Jason came out to my house to do some plumbing work for a kitchen project I am working on. I was recently was scammed by another plumbing company and was a little hesitant before working with another company. These guys are fantastic! They were extremely transparent with what needed to be done and told me exactly what it would cost upfront. They truly provided service that went above and beyond. I couldn't be more satisfied with their expertise and professionalism. I have found plumbers that I will definitely be using again in the future! Strongly recommend this company!

I called to have winter check on my two furnaces. The company scheduled me for the next business day, the technician arrived on time, was polite and efficient. The technician also covered his shoes to protect my interior. I'm one of those people who like to leave the outdoors out.The technician showed me how to replace the filters as well as writing down the size for each furnace. He gave me his card should I have any issues and was on his way.

2 (very young) techs came out to look at my central ac unit, once it was determined the capacitor needed replaced for $480 (which is maybe a $40 part). Maybe they were trying to upcharge my fiance since I wasn't there but who knows..Even so, I wouldn't be giving such a bad review regardless of the upcharge if the techs didn't then rip the label with the part # off of the damaged capacitor after being told we didn't want them to replace it.Great professionals you guys have working for you.. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Solid experience with Calfo. There are so many HVAC places in our area it is hard to determine which to pick. Happily we went with Calfo, and were delighted with the outcome. Our technician Christian Ray was courteous, professional, on time and quick to diagnose our HVAC issue. Absolutely happy with this company and will call them again if other HVAC issues arise. My ac unit had a bad valve and it was leaking. I called the company and they sent me 2 techs right away. One hour after, the problem was resolved. Very Good price and service.

Called CALFO to replace leaking valve under the sink. I was told there is $79.99 charge for plumber to come take a look and then to mention website coupon free estimate it would be rolled into the cost of the valve replacement. Dispatcher was not able to give me the quote of the repair ahead of time which is understandable. Upon arrival technician gave me estimated price of $447 to replace the valve. I could not believe the pricing for something simple as this but technician said there is nothing he could do about pricing it is all set by corporate. I called another company - Stahl Plumbing who arrived within an hour and replaced the valve for $160. CALFO of course called back to claim their $80 technician come look fee. I would want to give CALFO business but with $447 estimate for simple job that cost $160 and probably less if I shopped around more seems like CALFO likely understood that nobody in their right mind pay that much for something as simple and likely the original idea was to just charge $80 for the estimate. I had my AC unit serviced/repaired 2 weeks ago and then had to have someone come back yesterday. While I was frustrated and didn’t agree with the charges/service, I am impressed that they addressed my concerns so quickly and did something to ensure good customer service and company reputation.

After working with another company to fix my furnace during the peak of winter for nearly 6 months, Jake may have finally found the issue. While the other company said everything seems to be working fine and see... it's starting up fine... there doesn't seem to be anything wrong Jake took as much time as needed to diagnose the issue driving deeper into the machine vs looking at the superficial parts. He sincerely takes the time to talk with the customer and help them understand the machines in their house. Would 100% recommend Jake at Calfo. Coming from over 15 years of management experience, I feel that Jake would be a great leader for other professionals in his field not only because of his knowledge but also his ability to connect with customers and provide superb customer service.

We are very happy with the service provided by Christian. He was courteous, friendly and answered my questions very well. He also was helpful in diagnosing the problem that we were having with our furnace system.It is a shame that CALFO has such high costs for the services they provide. We were certainly happy with the work that Christian did for us. unfortunately the price that CALFO charges are beyond the norm. Christian was able to replace the faulty transformer as he had diagnosed and recommended a cleaning of the heat exchanger as they had a heavy buildup of dirt and soot from years of neglect. The entire visit was 2-hours, and CALFO wanted to charge over $950 for the service, with the transformer being maybe a $100 or so part cost. I'm sure they aren't paying a labor rate of over $400 per hour.

The assessment was done carefully, and he seemed to double check everything with testing appliances.update: they came out this year(2022) the pressure switch had to be replaced. The young man, was honest, respectful, and kept me informed the whole time. I got VIP program prices,👍

Set up an appointment two weeks in advance for radiator maintenance for a two-unit building with tenants.They called 8 minutes after my appointment window started to let me know one of their technicians had a medical emergency and tried to reschedule me for another week out.Scheduling around work from home is tricky and we didn't appreciate having our time wasted.

They had to return numerous times to fix same issue then charged me and addition time without my consent. I contacted them to find out about the charge and never received a call back. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and they made up a fake invoice and lied to the investigator. Very poor business ethics.

Jake arrived an hour before the expected time on a Sunday (and called first). He is extremely knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. He is very clean with his work and has helped us to maintain our heating system unlike any other company we have used. He explained the issue and also explained how to prevent this problem from occurring again. Hands down would recommend Jake and Calfo Heating & Air Conditioning.

Person that came to my house was a really nice guy. The only problem is that they sent an inexperienced hvac guy to sell me plumbing. No brochures, couldn’t answer any questions without calling someone else. Worst sales pitch of my life!

I'm revising my comment I made last night. I had an emergency call in during the heat wave and thought the amount I was charged was over the top. Tim from CALFO called me this afternoon and we walked through what my issues were and the costs on the invoice. There were items that weren't explained to me at the time of service which would have helped to explain the high cost for the service, ie: that I now have a one year maintenance contract with CALFO and all of the benefits that come with it as well as the three year warranty on the parts replaced. With the explanation that was given I am satisfied at the amount I paid for the service and am looking forward to CALFO coming out in the fall and spring to tune up the HVAC system. I appreciate Tim for calling and explaining everything to me.

I highly recommend Calfo Home Services. On January 16th, my daughter's boiler heating system stopped working. It was late in the evening on a Sunday evening, she was ill, and we were having a snow emergency here in the Pittsburgh area. Jackie answered my call and she was checking with her supervisor to see if a technician could get to my daughter's residence that same evening. She said she would be checking back with me again later at 10pm that evening when her supervisor would again reassess road conditions. The roads were too bad for safe travel that evening, but they were able to send a technician out the next day. The technician Jake F. arrived at 8:30am the following day and did the diagnostic visit. The boiler needed to be replaced--it was made in 1955! Replacing a boiler system is a time consuming process, usually takes 2 days. Due to weather cancellations, Calfo Home Services was able to send 2 technicians, Alex O. and Jacob Z., that same day and removed the old boiler. Alex O. and Jacob Z. then returned Wednesday and installed the new boiler system. All 3 of the technicians, Jake F., Alex O., and Jacob Z., were very professional, kind and caring, and did an excellent job--cold temperatures and all and got the job done! The office staff, Jackie and Kathy, were so kind and helpful in getting the service calls scheduled and completed. I was so relieved to hear Jackie's kind voice that snowy Sunday evening! She sent me a text confirmation of the scheduled appointments, and I was sent a text with the picture and qualifications of the technicians responding to the service calls. Believe me when I say this was one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had! If you need help, don't hesitate to call Calfo Home Services! I have an Electric Furnace and this year not only did I turn the Thermostat down I flipped a switch on the wall believing the whole furnace shut off. IT WAS MAKING A FUNNY SOUND!😲So I called Calfo had good service with you guys before and it’s just the Pilot light! It stays on even if the Heating System is shut off. So…let’s keep the switch on Thermostat is way down and we know it’s safe. I was afraid Carbon Monoxide would be in the house, or the Furnace went bad, but no. The Pilot Light stays lit.

This service is great if you’re in or around Pittsburgh, they scheduled me in quickly and we’re very accommodating. The technician they sent here was Adam, who is super chill and knowledgeable and also very neat and clean and quick. He explained everything clearly without being overly forceful or pushy. Problem with no heat in January should not have happened in the first place. I was told person who installed my HVAC no longer worked for company. Hoses for water run off led to outside which froze in January. No Heat. In January.

Jake, Logan, and Jimmy did a great job on the installation. They kept me informed on their progress throughout the day and talked me through what they had done when they were finished.

I requested to have someone come out to give me estimates on a number of items. First, I was told that they couldn't look at or fix the issue with my shower not getting hot enough (just need to adjust the temp control in the handle). Instead of adjusting it, they would just have to replace the entire shower head and handle for over $1000. It's a brand new bathroom, there is no reason to do that. Second they couldn't give me an estimate to redirect my sump pump discharge because that service was not in their system. I would have likely had this work done if they could give me a ball park price. The guy left and said he would get me a price and I never heard back from them. I am out the $79 service fee for them to come out and basically tell me they couldn't do any of the work or couldn't give me prices for the work. I do not recommend.

I've had problems with a leaking shower faucet, spout, and shower head. DeShaun was scheduled to come 2 days after my initial call, arrived on time, and replaced the valve, pipes, and installed new faucets and a new shower head. The entire experience was very professional, and quick. DeShaun even took the extra time to make sure the access hole was a proper dimension to make it easy for me to install an access panel later. Well worth the price!

Ed came out and was able to quickly diagnose our problem and fix our A.C. unit. He was friendly, professional, and made the whole ordeal very easy to deal with. I would defintly recommend both Calfo and Ed to anyone.

I had them come fix a issue with my furnace. The first technician that came out his name was Dylan. He replace a ignition cord... but he also explained to me that I might need the whole circuit board replaced... the furnace worked when he left and then stopped working a day later no fault to him. Then Christian came out on a Sunday night and replace the control panel and did a really great job getting my furnace to work properly.. They our young men but don't let that fool you they're extremely knowledgeable and I would recommend this company to my family and friends..

Jake came out today to check out our unit. He found the problem pretty quickly, was very polite and professional throughout the whole experience. We unfortunately will have to wait for the repairs but will definitely be happy to have Jake come back out to do so when we are able to fund it. His empathy and compassion throughout the whole process was excellent.

Stay clear of this company - way over priced and do not stand behind their work!!!!

Dustin and Jason did the install on my new AC and furnace. Very fast very easy. Dylan did the initial assessment. Very professional and courteous.

Needed same day service for faucet repair. Informed they carry Moen products (which i know is pricey but good quality). After replacing the faucet, found additional leaking under the sink. This was taken care of for me also.I believe it was pricey but it's fixed properly! They tech guys were really friendly and honest. Thank you for your help.

I initially needed just a maintenance check on my furnace, but my filter became tangled in my furnace. Calfo came to home within 2 hours after calling them for the first time to repair the issue. Only took 30 minutes.

We have used Calfo Mechanical many times before, they never disappoint! We recently had an air scrubber installed and it was the best decision we ever made! Gets all the dust out of the air and makes my house smell so fresh! We have two dogs and two cats and you wouldn’t even know! It also kills bacteria and mold on all the surfaces of the house! We called to have one installed and they were here the next day. Dylan was extremely knowledgeable and was in and out! These guys are the best! Great service and affordable! I highly recommend them!

They were wonderful. They came out in the middle of the night, diagnosed no gas coming into the house. After the gas company dug up outside and fixed their problem, my furnace wouldn't come back on. Calfo came back out and fixed my furnace. I highly recommend them.

Had a really good experience with CALFO today. I didn't really know anything about the company and saw them advertise a $39 AC maintenance check so I figured I would give them a try, I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Kevin Temoff came out and did a wonderful job. He spent a lot of time making sure my unit was clean of debris that had gotten into it over the winter. He also noticed a few other things that needed adjusted on my unit indoors and took care of that as well. I was very happy with the service and will use them for things in the future.

I have used this company for the past 4 years. Purchased a new heating and A/C system. I use their twice a year maintenance plan. Very good sevice.

Working with this company overall was a great experience. Everyone that I came in contact with was knowledgeable, professional, and very easy to talk with and understand. they took out old one, and installed a new garbage disposal and new faucet. They were very friendly and quick to get to work and get the job completed. Fantastic workers!!! Highly recommend.

I had them come out for a regular maintenance tune-up /check-up. They very promptly answered the phone and had plenty of flexibility in their schedule.Later, I called to re-schedule to an earlier date, and luckily they were able to! Also, they were able to quickly pull up my account information just from my phone number, so it was very fast. Before the appointment, I got a text message including a photo of the technician who would be coming, which was a nice touch! He actually called to say he could come a bit earlier, which worked well for me!The technician did the check-up quickly, and addressed any concerns I had. He wore plastic footies over his boots to keep from tracking dust in the house. He offered for me to join their annual maintenance plan, but in no way was pushy about it and was realistic about how new my system was and that it probably wasn't necessary. I wasn't up-sold on the check-up or encouraged to do any unnecessary repairs.Overall, I'm happy with them and would absolutely consider calling them if/when I ever have an actual problem with my HVAC.

CALFO sent a text with a picture of the technician Steve, his expected arrival time and contact info. Steve arrived on time, covered his shoes and greeted me warmly. He went right to inspecting the hvac unit for a suspicious smell. He checked inside and outside for any possible sources of the odor but found nothing. Steve was thorough, professional and respectful of my time, concerns and home.

Unfortunately I’ll have to rate this company a big fat 1 star.Of course it’s a long story but I’ll try to be detailed as possible.I made a visit to their site on a Wednesday evening and I sent in my service request. I received an email extremely fast which asked what day or date I wanted service and my address. I replied and I received a call the next day, a Thursday. I was booked that next day, a Friday between 8-10am, reasonable.Well, that time window came and went. I called the service line and there was no appointment in my name. Heck, I don’t think they even had my info in their computer. After waiting on hold for 5 minuets, the rep said she would forward my info to the service line with a callback to get me scheduled. She also mentioned some service tech might book appointments that don’t show up on the schedule. Weird, but okay. Seeing all the good reviews before let me to give Calfo one more chance.Well, I didn’t get a call that day or at all.I did get an extremely weird email from the same person who first emailed but it had nothing to do the type of service I wanted. It was regarding a drug test!? Not making this up. I still have the email. Needless to say, it’s been at least two weeks and no one ever called me back.Note-this is based on the customer service I experienced.

Steve stopped by as a courtesy call to make sure I was satisfied with my furnace that was installed by CALFO 4 months ago. He was super friendly, courteous and professional. When I mentioned an air flow issue he went beyond to make sure he found the most likely cause and I was very satisfied with his help. It was a pleasure to have himcomr by and he answered all my questions and concerns.

Calfo Home Services is thoroughly impressive. After two days of calling at least eight plumbing and repair places close to me, (which could not return calls or were too busy.....) I came across Calfo Home Services on Google. Within a few hours Dylan arrived.... he was able to fix the problem and stop water from leaking everywhere. Ryan came, had a new toilet installed in no time. This is great, and I am very happy with that. However...... Calfo Home Services is blessed and lucky to have these two young men as employees and representatives. It isn't very often, if at all, that you come across two young men as impressive as these two are. They are intelligent, polite, neat, quick, and all they were worried about was doing their job well. The service was prompt, courteous, and professional. I would have given 5 stars, but the average cost estimate for a gas furnace ignitor repair is typically no more than $300, but the total for this repair was $507. The call out was during normal working hours and the tech was there for approximately 1 hr. Great service, high cost. I was told the price was based on a flat fee; the invoice did not indicate the price of the part or labor costs.

Calfo Home Services took on a very large and entailed job at my house that other HVAC companies refused to tackle. I was very pleased with their professionalism and am more than satisfied with the job they did.

After calling at least 5 other plumbers and HVAC companies, (who all either could get to me in 3 days, or didn't have the parts needed for my repair), I found Calfo, because of their good reviews. I called about 3 pm on a Saturday in January because my furnace wasn't working, and by 6 pm my service technician Dylan had arrived, put on shoe covers, diagnosed the problem, repaired it using a part he had in stock right in his van(!), and was on his way. And honestly, the bill was quite reasonable, given the circumstances. I cannot recommend this local Pittsburgh company highly enough! I would call them again for any job related to heating, cooling and electrical issues. Great company!

Had a guy come in for a third opinion on a new boiler installation and new piping. He was extremely honest about what my options were with them. I did not use them as they were not able to start the work until springtime. They did not charge me on the 80 dollar service charge.

Michael called and provided estimated time of arrival.Arrived well dressed for the work and prepared to enter our home with protective shoe covering.Was thorough in the examination and evaluation of our equipment. Explained well his findings.Added our names to VIP service. As we appreciate the good service and prompt arrival to our property.

Steve was a great technician and it was very easy to schedule the service with Calfo. They had a scheduling probably on their side but they worked with our schedule to still do the service on the same day. Steve was patient and explained the didn’t services they offer and what he was working on which was great. The only feedback I’d ask is a little more information on what was included in the service I was buying. I wrongly assumed that they would clean/blow out the hvac furnace but that was a different service.

Jake came to our house on an emergency call, was there within two hours and diagnosed and fixed the problem within one hour! He was incredibly friendly and respectful, and discussed all the details of what he was doing and what the options were for how to take care of the problem. Not only that, but the house was not getting cool enough quickly enough and I was worried about my dog, so he came over two days later and performed an additional maintenance task in a timely and professional fashion. He is a pleasure, and I would recommend him and the company to anyone!

Had a full HVAC replacement as well as ductwork redesign. The CALFO Team had a good plan for the whole project, were great to work with from start to finish, had easy scheduling, had great products we're really enjoying... All comparably priced compared to all the other companies we got estimates from.

Jake was great. Just needed an A/C system charge due to a slow leak in an older system. Service was good, communication was good. Was only disappointed in the cost. They charged me $150.00 per pound of for R-22. After talking to others after the fact, a more reasonable charge is $90.00 to $100.00. Not the fault of Jake, but felt a bit taken advantage of paying $750.00 for 5 lb. recharge that took less than an hour.

Zachary was experienced, positive despite getting drenched in water and decay matter, through, disciplined and a pleasant disposition. I would highly recommend him to anyone for their professional plumbing needs.

Calfo replaced a water condenser on our home warranty plan shortly after we moved into our house. So, when our AC unit blew out last night we gave them a call. I left a message around 11 AM and a technician called us back pretty quickly. He said he'd arrive between 3 and 5 PM the same day and would call us 30 minutes before arrival. The problem - no one ever called and no one else showed up. We left a message at 5:15 and never heard back.It's one thing to have an emergency and have to reschedule. It's another thing to not even bother to show up or call and waste a person's day off.We did receive a call the morning after and they offered to look into what happened. I received a second call late that afternoon, and it turns out the technician was sick. They did offer to perform some work for free, but, at that point, I had already had our AC unit repaired by someone else. I will give them credit for offering to rectify their mistake and handling in the error in a completely professional manner.

Installed new kitchen faucet and sprayer and removed the old that also had a water filter. Ryan was personable, honest, professional, and very skilled. I will use in the future if desperate. I needed help soon (2 days) and other names were busy. Only problem was $400 for 40 minutes of work. I am sure he was very efficient and work was probably warrantied but perhaps I didn't really need a master plumber for this. As I say I was desperate - middle of the work week with guests on their way that evening.

A concerning experience.Tech came out on 12/21/22 for furnace repair estimate. He quoted a temporary repair for $1,561 for very temporary repair “might last 2 weeks”then you’ll be calling me again so you should just replace this old until”. Est for new one $7,000. Then tried to up sell me to purchase air too!!!Obviously a second option was needed.A different company came out. FULL system repaired. The tech did some research to try to solve them problem The air exchange ended up being under a 25 yr warranty and was honored despite me not being the original purchaser . Complete repair for $1,636.00.Hoping the company does a better job training employees and/or monitor for deceptive practicesHappy Holidays

I had to call them when my furnace quit working in the middle of the night. They arrived within an hour and had the furnace working again in half an hour. They were also very reasonably priced considering it was after hours.

Furnace stopped working on a 9° day. Called and said they would send someone that day between 2-5. Jason came and took probably 30 seconds to find the problem with my furnace. The induction motor. He explained everything to me and what my options are for heat today just replacing the motor and fan instead of the whole shell (which is just a plastic lid) that would cost more and take until the next day to get one from Carrier. He went up and beyond helping us and didnt just do things to my furnace and slap a huge bill down in front of me. Very reasonably-priced company. Did NOT nickel and dime me. Very nice using boot covers every time he came in and was so polite. I will always call them from now on!!!!

I was made to wait for prolonged periods on two occasions and given two wildly different accounts of the problem with my furnace by two different CALFO techs.The first CALFO tech told me (over the phone because I couldn't wait for him any longer) that I needed a new furnace at a cost of $5,500.I made sure to be at the house when the second tech arrived the next day. Conversely, he told me the furnace did NOT need to be replaced at this time, instead swapping out bad parts and getting the furnace to switch on.Not sure exactly why the second tech didn't share the first tech's opinion on replacing the furnace. Perhaps his reluctance to attempt to sell me a furnace I didn't need can be attributed to my appearance, which can be intimidating.In short: I am disappointed in CALFO.

Furnace Safety and efficiency inspection was completed by technician and a trainee who shadowed him. They were knowledgeable, professional and pleasant young men who answered any question that I asked. Upon completion the lead tech have me a verbal of the finds and the recommended follow -up. In the near future I will follow+up as per our discussion.12/26/22Return visit to assess why the new furnace heat wasn't registering higher than 65 degrees and all rooms was not getting warm.Technician was on time, courteous an professional. He answered all my questions respectfully and informed me that my air flow needed to be adjusted higher than they originally set it at cause the heat to be settle in place and not flow as well through the ducts. He apologized and re set it. By the time he left the house temperature had already increased by 4 degrees...

The Technician got there much earlier than expected and offered great service. This is my second season using Calfo and I won't be calling anyone else for our furnace needs!

We needed a new outdoor spigot wheel for the water hose after the old one disintegrated as I was trying to turn it off (it has been leaking water since forever). DeShaun from CALFO showed up and took care of the problem in about 35 - 40 minutes. He's professional, personable and able to make a quick diagnosis before sweeping into action. We now how a state-of-the-art flip on/flip off water valve that we can now stick an inflatable hose on. We also have unbelievable water pressure for it that we haven't had in over 30 years. DeShaun did a great job and CALFO has our business going forward.

Cant say enough about Calfo. They answer 24/7. (Sure it costs more after hours, but at least they come and know what to do.) I have a 16 year old Whirlpool hot water tank that's in Very Good condition! it was running perfectly until the igniter got wet. I advised the tech that my igniter was backfiring since it got wet and the tech that came over said I needed a new pilot assembly kit. He also stated that my ventilation was incorrect it was slanted downwards a tad bit which I agree So he suggested knocking a hole in my basement chimney wall and running a new line up through the chimney the cost was 1,000 400 and something odd dollars OR purchase a new state-of-the-art hot water tank that doesn't need ventilated cost 2,000 plus installation OR throw my 50 gallon hot water tank away and purchase a smaller one and start all over by myself. So I contacted whirlpool and they said they don't sell a pilot assembly kit just the thermocouple or the thermometer gauge or a new igniter. ((SO I JUST WENT TO FAMILY DOLLAR BOUGHT ME AN EXTENDED LIGHTER THAT COST $1 AND LET IT MANUALLY, NOW I'M HAPPY!!! 😁

CALFO consistently provides great service for our home. Our first interaction was when our AC went out on Memorial Day weekend when we brought our newborn home from the hospital. A technician showed up within hours and we were working again. They have serviced our heating and cooling (and even replaced a water heater) for the last two years, and we remain impressed with their quality, cost and professionalism. We lost heat for a short time last night, but their fix was quick and our system is restored and working perfectly. Lots of people can provide good service once... The best company that did an emergency service very quickly and had the parts on hand to fix my furnace in the freezing cold.Had another emergency problem with my heating system and calfo came out and very quickly and solved the problem with ease. We had our A/C installed by Jake and Logan. Both did a fantastic job and showed us how to operate both the furnace and A/C. Process from purchasing to install was pretty painless. We did try to get talked into the higher end units which I think happens with everyone you shop for but a simple No thanks and they never brought it up again which I appreciated. So far that's two houses they hooked us up with and two times we've been pleased.We've yet to have a need to call them back out for maintenance or resolve an issue but if that's anything like the initial install they're in and out efficiently. My husband made an appointment for an evaluation to see why the upstairs of our home was so oppressively hot, and what our options could be to fix it. Jake came out to perform an AC tune-up after our air unit seemed to be struggling to cool the house. While here he was able to diagnose some issues with or (very) old AC unit that actually would require repairs instead of a simpler tune-up. Although we weren't planning on having to go through a big AC job, he helped explain the process and was very knowledgeable and helpful!

Our water heater just broke this past weekend and CALFO came out today to install a new one. Dustin and Nick were both very professional, courteous and efficient. Without a doubt, I like the prompt, courteous service I have come to expect from CALFO associates. I like the list of Check Ups provided. I would like an estimate of the cost of a Combustion Fan Motor for my Carrier Infinity 96 furnace and the cost of labor for CALFO to replace, as per the diagnosis. I would also like to suggest that you may re-align your clipboard sheets to be signed, such that a customer is not asked to sign the bottom of a sheet which contains no writing. And, I have a question: Might the noise emitted from the Combustion tester been affected by the device connected to my furnace at the end that I noted was indicating Summer, which I was advised, should always be turned to Winter when used for heating. Just saying. Otherwise, fine.

Initial estimate went smoothly, great salesperson (Stephen) and a nice guy, same with the people they sent over to install the unit ( ductless HVAC ). However on installation day I noticed they were not installing the Mitsubishi that I had ordered and been quoted on but a cheaper unit ( Lennox ) without my knowledge. When I questioned them about it they explained to me they couldn’t get the Mitsubishi and would discount the price negotiated. If I had not been there and been paying attention, I have no doubt they would have charged me full price for a significantly cheaper unit. Nice workers but nice workers don’t count for much when management is scheming to pull a fast one. Deceptive business practices, Watch out.

Emergency service was very professional and quick! I received a call within an hour from initially inquiring and Jake was there shortly after. He was very informative and extremely helpful. He was detailed in explaining what was wrong and completed the job within a very reasonable amount of time. AC was up and running and would absolutely recommend and use CALFO for any future needed jobs.

Had a issue on a Sunday afternoon where the A/C stopped working. This was not even a week after they had supposedly fixed our issue. But called the emergency services number and someone made it out in a couple hours. Our technician was Jake Fischetti, and he couldn't have been more courteous and professional. He described the problem, answered all my questions and had it fixed in about an hour. Although this shouldn't have happened in the first place, that was not Jake's fault and he apologized for the inconvenience. I'm thankful that they at least have 24 service and were able to make it out to our house in a timely manner. Again, Jake was great and I couldn't recommend him more.

This morning at 10am, I called (on a Friday with temps in the low-mid 90s) CALFO home services to see if I could be put on the schedule for a/c maintenence. The rep stated they could be here between 4-6p TODAY! The office soon called back stating they could do 2-4 today if not sooner and would call ahead. At 12:42 Jake called to say he has close and could come early. 12:55pm and Jake is already at my door. 135pm and Jake has successfully diagnosed, FIXED AND REPAIRED the issue. Jake F. Created a beyond personal experience, which is hard to find in contractors these days. Jake took all COVID-,19 Precautions and even presented booties to be worn within my home. Even after respectfully opting to just fix my issue and not pursue their HVAC VIP Service Plan, Jake still came in my home to check temperatures, remove my debris filled filter and box and even gave me knowledge about my hvac unit. It was the above and beyond service that Jake provided that will have this contractor here, constantly reffering THIS Hvac contractor there! Thank you again to Jake who showed me what my issue was, gave appropriate options and fixed my a/c's flux capasitor on a steamy 94° day. CALL CALFO! You all gained a customer, today!

The serviceman was great. The company? They are price gauging. My heat pump needs a $20 part that takes 10 minutes to install (a Honeywell switching relay). They wanted $238 for the part and installation. Be warned, part installation is not included in a service call. The technician was knowledgeable and friendly, but that isn't worth $200 to me. I could have got out my multitool and diagnosed the switch. I would have happily paid a small premium on the part for their delivery service, but not 10x.

I had a gas line installed in my fireplace. They were on time and walked me through the process. When there was an issue with the original plan, they walked me through the options I had before attempting anything. After making my decision, they were able to successfully complete the work. I would hire them again.

The $700 toilet is defective. The holes around the bowl are clogged. It flushes so it's not a problem to Calfo. They told me to take a video, now what?

I scheduled a service for a quote on Tuesday. By Thursday Dom was on-site to examine my HVAC and got me estimates. By the very next day Jeff and Dustin were on-site to do the installation. In 3 days I went from initiating communication to a brand new HVAC installed on my house.Dom, Jeff and Dustin were all very professional. They showed up on time, worked hard and were cordial in communication with me. I highly recommend using CALFO's services and specifically the 3 representatives above were excellent. Dom, Jeff and Dustin were absolute brand ambassadors and put their best foot forward to not only install a high quality product but deliver a compelling customer experience. I have utmost confidence in using CALFO's services in the future and hope I get to interact with the above representatives again.

I had a steady leak in the water line of my only toilet late afternoon on a Friday. Brad was able to come out within the hour and quickly address and resolve the issue. He was very efficient and professional in explaining the problem and what needed to be done to fix it. My attic fan wasn’t working. Called CALFO and after a little mixup they were able to come out and check out my attic fan. It’s shot so they’re coming back to replace it at a later date but for the diagnostic service they arrived on time and were professional.

Calfo Mechanics Heating Company responded to an urgent situation. Upon arrival the problem was fixed and the fee waived because it was a minor problem. The internal furnace switch was turned off and they turned it on. I do want to add it was snowing and the weather conditions alone could have warranted a fee. I highly recommend this company . Thank you for going over and above for me.

Ignition was locked on a boiler, called another HVAC company last week, had an appointment for today and they did not show up. I called Calfo, they sent someone out the same day. Dylan was the tech that came, he was Covid conscience and very professional. Turned out to be the igniter, Dylan diagnosed it pretty quickly. He told me it would be between $300 to $600 dollars, final bill was $611.72. That is a very expensive repair for a $40 part! I am more upset with myself for agreeing to the repair, but over $500 for labor for a repair that took less than 20 minutes is a bit outrageous. The ridiculous price is my only complaint, but it is a bit much for a simple repair.Update: Calfo called me a few days ago, said they would adjust the price. I commend them for taking care of what I felt was an overcharge for their service.

STILL AFTER SO CALLED REPAIR FURNACE STILL LEAKING FROM SEAMS OF FURNACE UNIT. HEATING THE BASEMENT. GUESS I HAVE TO SEAL IT CORRECTLY. NOT COST EFFICIENT. SUCH A POOR COMPANY. DO NOT USE THEM.I wanted to have a new furnace with a humidifier and central air installed. To start my research on HVAC companies, I used google search. Calfo came up number one with 4.8 stars. Now, I wonder how did they achieve 4.8 stars. My experience cannot be the first.I remember going to the website and seeing a deal “Up to $1,500 off a new HVAC system”. I clicked the coupon and made the appointment. After the sales guy and met and received quote, i mentioned no discount was appled. He told me that that is only for units $10,000 and up. I was spending around $7,500. The web coupon had no contingency. I forced the issue and comprised with a $300 off. But, really I could not have been the only one to see the coupon, but I did help them realize their website needed fixed!! I went thru with the installation.All the technicians were nice and courteous. I just wonder now how much experience they have with installation and pivoting when unexpected items happen. More training is needed.Next, there were items just not correct. Here are a few that made this a poor installation.• Whistling sound (which means air leakage). They did come out and sealed a leaking area around the humidifier.• The basement was colder than the first floor. I felt around the installation to find all the seams from furnace to ductwork were leaking large amounts of air. This should have been sealed during initial installation. Not only poor installation but made the units efficiency very poor during the 90 degree weather. Dylan did come out to fix the former installers poor installation by adding HVAC tape and sealant caulk.If you did not read any further I wanted you to know the above account. Here are other Items during installationI had to coach the installer on the aesthetic part of the job. Such as:• When asked if they were going to drill the hole from the air conditioner into the basement, the assistant pointed up to the brick part of my house, 8 feet high, instead of drilling down at the foundation where the air conditioner would be sitting. I told them I did not want the pipe going up the outside of my house and to drill 1 foot off the ground. But, if I was not there, they would they have run the pipe 8 feet up the outside of my house and then into the basement.• When drilling the hole on the outside of my house for the exhaust, he made a mess of it, breaking and pushing brick back, then adding a lot of cement to cover the damage of the crack brick underneath. Very sloppy work. I would think that if someone had experience, then the extent of the damage drilling the hole would not have occurred. Furthermore, you could see light from my basement to the outside. Found out that no sealant was used around the exhaust pipes to make sure it was air tight.• When installing the thermostat, Furthermore, the assistant put tools on my credenza. Did not even ask if there was anything to cover it so it would not get scratched. I got up and put a towel underneath the tools. They did not even attempt to clean up the floor of the debris from pulling a new electrical wire.Dealing with the brick on outside of my house, I did talk to Tim Calfo but did not know if i should trust his installer to do masonry work but agreed to give them another chance. The final brickwork is Ok, since Dylan was open to talking it out and taking feedback to the corrective work. I also kept checking in to see the progress.In conclusion, seems they are willing to come back and fix the mistakes but really all this should not have happened. Such a bad experience. I was told by Tim Calfo that nothing would make me happy.What would make me happen is that the work done correct with only very minor incidence. I’m sure they will ignore this or come back at me for just expecting way to much. Good quality is not too much to ask.So, take your chances or go elsewhere.

While he was a little late, Christian took his time and gave our system a full review and systems check. Moreover, he was careful not to let the cats out, put new filters in and wore both a mask & show co ers the whole time he was in our home. Calfo technicians are very nice and polite. However, the company charged me $12,000 for an AC installation that never worked properly after it flooded our dining room. They did arrange for the repairs: refinishing the dining room table, sending the rug out for cleaning, patching and painting the ceiling and reinstalling the chandelier. I let them slide on the warped floor panels under the rug because I was tired of workers coming in and out of the house. There continued to be problems until they would no longer honor the 10 year service agreement I bought (expensive!) unless I paid them an additional $8,000 for replacing all ductwork. Now the control panel on this 2 year old unit malfunctioned, and since they claim it’s from a power surge, it is not covered anyway. Please learn from my experience. I wish I had hired someone else.

My CO alarm had gone off in my house...CALFO came out right away after another company kept me waiting all day. So glad I called CALFO. Steve was responsive and did confirm I had a leak. They are as bad as Gilliece. Multiple service calls. Diagnose wrong, and keep charging. No pride to stand behind their work. No embarrassment at all. I’m now convinced this is how they make their profit and get your money. Owner won’t get involved, can’t be reached because he’s in meetings or wherever. 5 times they came out . Different problem every time. Only constant was getting my money. Not honorable. What a shame, what a scam. Find someone else.

Our AC died with temperatures in the 90s and were in panic mode. Thankfully, CALFO answered the call and was able to squeeze us in the same day! Very pleased with my experience with Calfo, I called them because another company had incorrectly installed my A/C. Calfo came out within two hours and diagnosed the problem right away.

We were having issues with the air conditioner not cooling down the entire house which made it miserable on the days where it's been 90+ degrees outside. We reached out to a different company weeks ago that never responded and then came across Calfo who responded immediately and had somebody come to the house to check out the ac unit within the same week. We received an email prior to the scheduled date letting us know when they'd arrive and with the name and picture of the technician coming, which was important to us to know prior to but have never experienced that before. The technician called before he was coming to let us know he was on his way. When Ed came to the door, he was very prompt, kind, professional and seemed knowledgeable about the ac unit. He didn't pressure us into getting any extra services and said he could fix what was needed and leave but we could call him if we have anymore issues. He explained the issue with the ac unit and gave his recommendations. I do recommend This company and Ed as a service technician for ac units.

I've never felt more ripped off in my entire life!Calfo charged me $2400 and fixed nothing. I'm not exaggerating. My heat pump was not heating my home at all, so I called Calfo. They came quickly and after an hour or so, diagnosed that my heat pump needed a new reversing valve. It would cost around $2400 to replace, despite reversing valves only costing around 200 bucks. The cost was chalked up to intensive labor. I begrudgingly agreed to the price as long as it was going to fix my heat. Well, after the repair was done, I was informed that the heat pump still wasn’t working properly and I would need to spend another $2000 in repairs to fix it. The tech (Dylan) told me that I should just run my auxiliary heat instead of the heat pump, so I don't damage the unit. I went back and forth with the company & owner to try and have the price reduced on the 2nd repair, seeing as I already paid 2400 and nothing seemingly was fixed. The owner would not budge. He offered to give me a small discount on a $10-11k install, but I ended up just having someone else replace my entire system for just $7000. I'm now paying off a $2400 repair for a busted unit that I don't have anymore. Thanks a lot! A full or partial refund at least seems in order. I would never charge someone money to fix something if it wasn’t actually fixed, but that’s just me.If your heat or A/C is malfunctioning, don't call Calfo. They will charge you extremely high repair costs and if it doesn't fix the problem, they will refuse to make the situation right.

They had the audacity to quote $967.63 for a Draft Inducer Motor that went bad. Clearly they were unaware that the landlords weren't idiots. The part is roughly $80 and it's a 5-10 minute job. Absolute scammers. DO NOT use this company. I would give them 0 stars if I could.SCAMMERS

Exceeded all expectations! Tenant had no heat while the house cooled to the 50s. On a midnight emergency call, Calfo responded faster than expected, and the technician Jake arrived over an hour earlier than expected. The repair was easy for him, and he hooked me up with their $200 new customer VIP maintenance policy that covered the repair cost, plus includes a complimentary inspection next year. Perfect!

Atrocious experience. The tech came out and essentially said there was nothing he could do about my AC unit and that I needed a new one. It was true that the unit was essentially dead, but he told me the cheapest AC unit I could get would cost $16,000 and up to $30,000 (which I could finance at over $300/month!). That seemed astronomically high, so I did some shopping around. I talked to four different companies and all quoted me under $10,000 for solid units. I was left feeling like this company was trying to rip me off.

I have an older heating and cooling unit and my experience with Calfo has always been exceptional. They discuss the potential or issues in relatable terms. I have never been pushed or felt like they were trying to make me spend money. They understand my needs and have always been professional.

Calfo was recommended to me via Nextdoor when I asked about emergency furnace repair early on a Saturday morning. I submitted a request via their website and received a call in about an hour, which I felt was fast for a weekend. Steve arrived around 9:00 am, and took about 30 minutes to diagnose the problem with our furnace, which was a thankfully simple part replacement. He completed the work quickly and was very professional the whole time he was in our house.

Very expensive, I do not recommend. I had a bathroom vanity leak that was caused by a drain pipe missing the small plastic ferrule. The tech said the repair would cost me $437! No parts needed and job is done within 30 mins. Unbelievable!

For the first time in my life, I was pleased with a plumbing service. The price was right (agreed my insurance company and real estate agent who I had asked for referrals), and the job got done in a very timely manner. Calfo replaced my water main, which had broken, and replaced a hot water heater, which happened to break just a day later. Generally I have had experiences opposite this, so for such a large, important job (my house out of water for 6 days, not to their fault as I was out of town initially, when it broke), it was a true relief. No hard sales pressure whatsoever. The main office and the plumbers were great, including the gentleman who first sat down to consult with me. I would definitely recommend Calfo for a large job like this.

They did a really good job! I had my furnace and AC replaced. I was able to schedule an appointment quickly and easily. The guys that came were punctual and professional. They gave me an appointment window between 10 and 12 and were here by 10:05. The install itself was completed within a day and Jake did a great job walking me through everything. They provided several text and email alerts to update me on the status of my appointment and the assigned technican that would be doing the work. I would definitely recommend this company!

Dylan came over to find out if I was having a carbon monoxide issue. He measured the air, checked my furnace and water tank and determined the place was safe. CALFO, especially Dylan, have been so reliable when issues arise. Such a piece of mind knowing I have someone to rely on for my heating/AC needs.

Calfo has been my go company to for HVAC service over the past few years. Dom performed a Central Air Conditioning Unit tune up and inspection and was professional and courteous.👍

Professional and polite personnel. Price for work was extremely costly. A fridge water line shouldn't cost as much as the fridge. Understood that the price wasn't set by service tech who was wonderful. Price too high if performed on normal business hours.

Do not use these guys for repairs if you care about saving money. Dominic was friendly (though very young) and was able to diagnose my issue (fan blower motor) fairly quickly. His replacement quote that he gave me was $1370.00, which included a discount for being a VIP member. This seemed very high, but we needed the fix quickly and I regretfully told him to proceed. He told me the part itself was a very high quality motor and over $300 itself (which was a lie I found it in 2 seconds online for $130.00). When questioned about the cost for the part, he explained that CALFO pays extra for the warranty. OK sure. He proceeds to replace the fan blower motor in roughly 30-45 minutes, and overall did a good job of the repair.But for those keeping score that's $1370.00 for a $300(?) part and 45 minutes of labor. Basically I paid a 25 year old over $1000/HR in labor for the job. Feeling robbed and honestly just want to warn others that there are FAR cheaper options available than these guys. DONT MAKE MY MISTAKE, LOOK ELSEWHERE (unless you have deep pockets and don't care about your $$).

No issue Witt the service technician. The issue is with misleading business sales tactics and blinding lights he customer to exorbitant rates that would not even go guarantee yo address the problem. You should be ashamed of yourselves

Service man was very knowledgeable and honest. He gave me the good and bad news without hesitation. I felt comfortable taking to him. He was patient and listened to what I had to say. Gave me options of ways to solve my problem. Will definitely call this company in the future.

USE THIS COMPANY. My A/C system in my new home I just bought crapped out overnight with no prior issues. I called CALFO at 2:45pm - explained the situation, and said they'd have a tech out same day between 4-6 - that part alone sold me. Not ten minutes later was a technician dispatched! I received an email and a text, including technician's name, a short bio and my favorite part... a PICTURE. Too many scams out there, so I was able to verify who was coming into my home. The tech, Jake, arrived around 15 minutes later (and gave me a quick call to let me know, too). So he arrived at 3:15-ish. I'm writing this review at 4:15, that's how FAST Jake took care of everything. He was polite and knowledgeable, and explained everything thoroughly, and in a way that I understood. He asked multiple times if I had any other questions, and gave me tips and tricks I hadn't known before. Jake was fantastic, and I'd recommend CALFO to anyone needing any HVAC services. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

Dominic Mancuso was a very professional young man and was able to repair our furnace in a timely manner I was impressed with his knowledge and expertise.
He explained what he was doing the entire time and offered suggestions for maintaining our furnace if any issues may arise in the future

Guy charged me to replace my capacitor then said “sorry that wasn’t the problem “. He then proceeded to say I needed a new coil and compressor. Which he gave me an estimate of $11,000. I said no, I needed to get other estimates. After he left, I flipped the breaker off and on, and now it’s running fine. If I needed a new compressor, it would not be running right now.What a total fraud!!!!

Mike was as helpful as he could be given the situation with old pipes that need replaced. Glad to have him back to finish the new install. Even with all the emergencies due to the weather they were able to get to me the following morning.

I worked for Climatech under Mitch Taback and Joe Saltmaier with Doug Rish and Left there after several yeats for Beverly Heating and Cooling for a Dick Kennel at Beverly Heating and Cooling and he was good to me he gave me as a rewarc an American Standard 14 Seer Heat pump that I installed and ran well then Cathy Battaglia took over as my Power of Attorney and gave that up in Orphans Court run by a judge that left for criminal court and that 14 Seer Heat pump is still running today even though Kathy Battaglia got a Carrier dealer to come in and replace a 97 percent Trane variable speed furnace with a garbage Carrier nock off furnace and American Standard Heat Pump is still running today with thieves that took it all off of me the original home owner that put in all the home inprovements and Life Enrichment Trust Inc the thieves sold for 65,000 dollars and should of sold for 120,000 dollars and laugh at Allegheny county for not collecting the taxes on this home at 24 Stilley Road Pittsburgh,PA 15227!

We just updated our HVAC system with a Lennox furnace and air conditioner. Calfo Heating & Air Conditioning provided top-notch service beginning to end with a timely response to our initial inquiry, a prompt, no-pressure estimate, and quick installation. The installation technicians, Dustin and Jason, were a pleasure to have in our home, extremely courteous and professional and very knowledgeable. Their attention to detail during the installation process was impeccable. We honestly could not have asked for a better experience in having our furnace and air conditioner replaced.

Today's appointment was for air-conditioning diagnostics and repair. I am very pleased with the service from Calfo. When I called the office to schedule, the assistant was very professional and she scheduled me quickly. Calfo texted me to confirm the appointment. Today, Jake texted me his picture and some details so I would know who was coming to my home. He also called to give me an estimated time for his arrival. When he came, he examined the air-conditioning unit outside of my home and gave me an explanation of what was wrong. There were 2 options which he explained. I chose to have the motor to the fan replaced and he completed the work quickly. I now have a follow up service plan so I can keep ahead of any other issues before they become an expensive problem.

Although my past experience with CALFO was exemplary, this time was an eye opener. To replace a shutoff valve was hundreds of $$. That being said, Ryan the tech was very polite and understanding as to why his service via CALFO was not in the financial cards.
