Best Kitchen And Bathroom Plumbing in Pittsburgh PA

First of all folks I'm not even from Pittsburgh, but we are visiting some friends in the area. Found the site and called when my friends toilet went all nasty. Not the thing to have happen when you have guests over for the week. My friend made the call and they showed up super fast. Tried to help contain the mess before it got way out of hand (OMG that was nasty- those people have iron stomachs for sure). These guys were so professional - and they did an awesome job. They ended up having to take the whole toilet up to get a diaper out of the toilet that swelled up half way down the pipe. They cleaned up the job (too bad she couldn't convince them to do the floors while they were there) and were super friendly and professional. This is honestly my first review. I figured a business that went that far out of their way was worth doing a review. Thank you Pittsburgh Plumbing!

I found out I had a gas leak in my home around 11am in the morning. The gas company obviously shut the gas off until the leak could be identified and and the line could be repaired. I immediately started calling places because it’s been so cold out and knew it could get to zero or below at night. Orion Plumbing called me back immediately sent someone out within an hour or so. He quickly found the issue and spent all day replacing the outside pipe leading into the house (snow on the ground and temperature between 15 and 20) so that the gas company could come back out before it got dark so we’d have heat overnight. He was so nice, letting me know every step of the way what he was doing. He even stayed until the gas company came to make sure everything was alright, and tested the furnace, stove, and hot water tank to make sure they were all working correctly before he left. Knowing this is a ridiculously busy season for them, I don’t have words to express how grateful I am that they came out to fix it that day. Fady, the owner who was also busy, stopped to bring supplies, and was also extremely nice. I really can’t say enough good things, but would definitely recommend them, and I will be using them for any plumbing concerns I have in the future.

They did great work replacing my gas service line and they did it quickly and professionally. All at a very reasonable able price!

I found my water heater surrounded in a pool of water. I knew I needed a plumber and was expecting the worst recalling that it recently cost over $600 to have an outdoor spigot replaced by the guy that has pictures of himself waving from the back of his fleet of trucks. I wanted to try someone new and contacted Pittsburgh's Best Plumbing. I called in the evening and had a response in less than an hour. He was there the next morning and did a thorough inspection of my entire water system. He quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem to a faulty expansion tank. It was replaced in no time and at incredibly affordable price of well under half of what the other guy charged me to relpace a spigot! Highly recommended!

I normally don't write reviews, but these guys went above and beyond. Came same day, on time, super nice, and not a typical commission / sales plumber that claims you need thousands in work when you just want them to come flush your main line. I tried to fix my main by myself, only making it worse. Black sludge backed up into my basement everywhere. I couldn't use any water in my home and was in a complete panic. Came same day, ran a camera and fixed this huge catastrophe in under an hour. Glad I found an honest, company with workers who knew exactly what to do to get my house up and running again. He was knowledgeable and very courteous gentlemen. He went right to work and was done installing the toilet in 30 minutes. Did a great job ! We had an issue and he came back within half hour and fix the problem. He stayed and checked it a couple times and we both were happy 😃. I will always use Mr. Rooter , they stand behind what they do and do it right.

The installation team (Ryan and others) were excellent. We had to insist on a larger AC Unit, as there was unaccounted square footage. Also surprised that there was drilling through an outside wall that was not explained when getting and signing the bid. STILL....I'd recommend them highly- the price was very reasonable- definitely less than others! And the work was completed efficiently and with no worries by an excellent team of workers. Would definitely use South Side Plumbing and Heating again!!

Matt Mertz Plumbing was recommended to us by two of our clients so we reached out when we needed to address an issue pertaining to our storm/sewer lateral. Technician, Chris Sperl, stopped by our home and gave me excellent advice, though it cost him the opportunity to do the work I thought I wanted. Chris was experienced, friendly, and professional. Vince is very reliable and as many others have said, really knows his stuff and what he's talking about. He's great at communicating when setting up an appointment and won't ghost you. He took care of resetting a toilet and installing a kitchen faucet for us. We highly recommend his services and will definitely be repeat customers.

I had a backed up sewer and contacted Frank on a Sunday, within 5 minutes he replied back. He was able to fit me in the next day. Within just a few minutes of getting there he had the clog removed. Great guy, I highly recommend him!

While the repair went well and the team was courteous, I found them to be overpriced, not completely honest, lacking in transparency about charges, and the office unresponsive to a request.

AG quoted me 1K for standard replacement of waste and overflow/trap piping on a bathtub, largely because the ceiling below had to be opened up for access. So I did all the legwork of opening the ceiling myself in advance for easy access, but they only took off 30%. The plumber said that this was still a 4-5 hour job. They completed the job in an hour an half, at which was (apparently) about $500/hr. and charged me *extra* for parts (cost of parts not included in the estimate, which was not communicated to me. I also had no say in what kind of tub drain/drain stop mechanism they were putting in, which is not what I would have chosen. If I had known the part wasn't included in the quoted price, I would have purchased the part that I wanted myself).

Plumber then assured me on day of install that I would get an invoice itemizing all charges but this didn't happen. I called the office to request list of charges, which they said they would email the next day, but didn't. The only reason I agreed to this work is for a quick repair. In my experience, the company is negligent on some really basic good business practices.

The staff worked very diligently and even came back after the job was done to fix something. However, for the amount that we paid for the entire job to be done, the overall quality really disappointed us. The cement that was put into the basement was very rough, and there didn't seem to be an effort to smooth it out to the existing cement.

They may or may not do good work. Personally I have never used them, will never, or refer them to anyone since they don't know how to clean up after themselves and take their garbage with them. I am a contractor & every place I go into that this company was in before me their garbage or specifically the old hot water tank is left behind for someone else to remove. That is completely unprofessional & lazy. Learn to take your trash!

Had them out a while back for a no heat problem . They told me that I had a cracked heat exchanger , and needed to replace the furnace immediately . Their quote was ridiculous . When I declined , he said he would red tag my furnace , and call the building inspector , and then I would have to leave my house until it was fixed . I asked him to show me where the crack was, but his camera conveniently died . I offered to go pick him up a battery. , but his takes “ special “ batteries. Told him to go kick rocks . Had another company come out , replace the thermocouple, and no more problems. And we looked at the heat exchanger with his camera . Couldn’t find anything . These guys are con men . Find someone with integrity to work on your home …
