Taggart Plumbing, LLC

Taggart is the only number I keep in my phone after some unpleasant and costly services from two other companies I’ve used in the past. I have since then had several issues that Taggart has addressed for me, from an outside leaking gas line repair to multiple recurring sewer line backups. These guys are the true example of integrity. Mike, Visca and Chris are professional and take time to do the job right. I really can’t thank them enough for taking pride in their work and having such reasonable fees. From the communication to the finished job, you would be hard pressed to find a better company!

Very good experience with Taggart plumbing. They were very responsive, on time, professional. Chris installed a new toilet and water pressure regulator and Visca installed a new faucet in my kitchen and replaced some pipes. The experience with them was very good and I would recommend them. Chris repaired a gas leak in my water heater and furnace. He was very nice and treated us with respect. He explained what he was going to do and did it. The process couldn’t have been easier.

Very professional service and communication, good work, cleaned up well. The work was pricey in my view - resetting a toilet with a new wax ring was $360 (1 hour or less). That part was disappointing - I will not likely call again based on the value proposition.

Garbage disposal was clogged. They came and fixed it with ease.

Quick response time on a Saturday!

The work was able to be scheduled quickly, and it was done promptly and professionally.

My whole life was on hault. I couldn’t take a shower, do dishes, wash laundry or flush the commode because we had a clog in our pipe at the base of our building. Taggart was able to schedule an appointment the same day and fixed my pipe so my life can go back to normal.

We used Taggart to do a tankless water heater installation. Our old tank style water heater was getting up there in years, we decided to be proactive in replacing it before disaster happened and we knew we wanted a tankless water heater for the energy and floor space savings. Through the process we had over 6 plumbers come to provide a quote and it ranged wildly on price and experience with tankless installs. Come in Taggart, they were professional and provided a quote for free - most plumbers required that stupid dispatch fee to stop by and flash their already configured price 30secs after walking in the door, like why couldn't you do that over the phone but I digress. Taggart also was very thorough and respectful while working in the house and knew what they were doing, not to mention reasonably priced and worked with us to find other options to help lower the out of pocket expenses. I would highly recommend Taggart and will be using them again in the future. Shout out to Michael and Chuck for a great experience.

10 out of 10 would highly recommend! We had visits from Gillece 3 times with no resolution then got an estimate to fix for $1100. Far from the “$93 or free” clog promo that we supposedly qualified for.

Had a leaking pipe and needed the main line in the home replaced. Mike and Kenny from Taggart came and did a great job and the pricing was fair. Highly recommend for all your plumbing needs.

Chuck was our technician this time. We have worked with the owner in the past. Taggart plumbing does good work and are dependable to show up when they say. Chuck was easy to work with and every one of four jobs he did for us had no leaks when finished. They have five employees so they are small, but they all will work to take care of your home and fix the plumbing issues you have.

Matt and his helper were extremely professional. The first thing I noticed is they took time to put booties over their shoes. I know it seems silly, but when a contractor takes time to make sure they don't track mud through your house, generally it tells a lot about the quality and attention they'll put into their work.

We had a high pitched whining noise that would come on whenever a fixture was turned on or appliance called for water. It would even happen in the night, frequently waking us up.

Matt knew right away what the cause of the sound was and also diagnosed a failed expansion tank on the water heater so we had Taggart repair both while at our house.

Another aspect of a quality contractor is one who cleans up after they're done. Taggart again did not let us down, they were very clean and you wouldn't have noticed they had been there afterwards.

I would highly recommend Taggart to any one. They are professional, clean and reasonably priced.

We used Taggart plumbing three times in the last year or so and each time they did very good work. We will use them in the future.

We called several places the day before Thanksgiving because a leak developed overnight which was dripping through the bathroom floor and through our kitchen ceiling. Taggart was the only plumber that was able to come assess the damage and make the repair. Chris was wonderful and had the job completed in a short time. I highly recommend them!

Mike was great! He was friendly , fast and kept his work space clean.

Everyone was really nice, and upfront about all costs. While I probably could have done this repair myself, it is our only shower, and I just didn't want to chance messing something up. Our plumber was really helpful, and suggested I watch, in case this ever happens again. I feel a bit more capable of doing it myself now. But still, it's our only shower. Cursed with plastic parts, and hard water, I won't be surprised if this happens again in a few years.

We were very happy with the service, and will gladly call them again if we have other plumbing needs.

I sent an inquiry from their website. They replied back within the same day. Scheduling was easy and both personal and technology communication was fantastic. The tech showed up timely and was very professional. He quickly identified a leak and provided information on products I asked about. As far as customer service, use of technology, clear communication, timeliness, and knowledge, this company is top-notch. But, here is why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5: A company sign was put in my yard without my knowledge or consent (minor - this might just be a standard practice that is annoying to me) and pricing for parts/labor seemed really high (major). However, the service call price was definitely reasonable.

Quick, efficient, very professional and polite. In and out in an hour and a half for tub faucet replacement. Highly recommended. Chuck was very nice to work with.

Mike was veery prompt and professional. He discovered our problem with the smells in the basement were due to an absent or damaged trap under the shower drain in the basement.

They showed me the problem and then fixed it at the quoted estimated price. The problem was a cracked main drain pipe in the wall, which they fixed without creating a mess.

I was very pleased with Viscus and Mark(?)! I had to have a Jet Flush done to my sewer line and they were able to go in through my basement window. Viscus explained everything to me and educated me what not to put in my toilet (I had been throwing my Chlorox wipes in that I used). They wore shoe covers to come in the house and put my storm window back! They worked hard and said they got it open to the street! I am very satisfied and would definitely recommend them 😉

Had a toilet that was leaking so my first call was to Taggart. I’ve used them multiple times in the past and have been very satisfied. This time was no different. Chuck arrived on time, was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and diagnosed the issue quickly. He offered us several different options and was very up front and honest about everything. His work was high quality and very efficient. My toilet was fixed in no time and no mess was left so you’d never even would’ve known he was here. He even gave me a swag bag before he left with a shirt, koozie, fridge magnet, and pencil and pen. Taggart is the best. They never let me down and always do great work. I’ll never hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs plumbing services. They’re the best in the area by far.

From the time I filled out the web form request on a Thursday night, only a few minutes passed before someone got back to me to discuss pricing, options, and scheduling. They were able to schedule me for the next day.

Visca arrived on time, was polite, and I didn't feel any upsell pressure.

Due to elevation, my house has a 15-year history of water pressure problems; we've gone through five different pressure boosting systems installed by three different plumbers. When the fifth system died, we switched plumbers again and called Taggart Plumbing.

They took the time to understand the problem: the service line inbound, water backflow down the hill, the pressure head in the pump. And the combination of pump and check valve that they installed worked the first time, and continues to work effortlessly.

Every contact has been completely professional: masks, booties, tarps, cleanup, prompt, friendly.

This is the third time we’ve used Taggart and don’t think we will use anyone else. They are always on time, do great work and take care of the house while they’re here.

Visca showed up during the time frame I was given. Had a clogged main drain. He went to work immediately and in a very short time he took care of the problem. I’ve had clogged main drain issues in the past and had used other plumbing services. Taggart Plumbing was far and away the best of them all.

Taggart Plumbing saved the day when my gas company discovered a leak in the service line underneath our front yard.

Kenny and the others did an absolutely amazing job. This is not the first time I've had them over to solve issues and after another excellent job I am so excited to have a reliable plumbing company to lean on.

I needed a gas line installed for a new grill. Within one day of the request being taken they were at my house and looked over the area. Two days later I have a new outdoor gas line. Chris was professional, pleasant and on time. A little pricey maybe but that's what you get if you don't DIY. I'll pay for reliability and not taking 5 trips to the hardware store. I'll contact them again next time I need some help.

10/8/21: UPDATE- have now had two separate jobs with Taggart- full replacement of sewer drain lines and addition of an expansion tank and new valve for water heater/main water line. Unclogged drain on our rental property. I've used several other companies that advertise cheap drain cleaning, Taggart far exceed the others at a reasonable price. Great communication, sent text when they were enroute. Highly recommend and will use them again.

They replaced my shower and bathtub faucet set. Kenny was on time and was very neat and got the job done in a timely manner. Very polite and friendly. An asset to your company.

Taggart came back to check a drain clean out that they performed about a month ago at no charge. The dishwasher was backing up, but they showed me a camera visual that the drain is clear and the back up was due to a septic issue. Much appreciated the follow up at no charge.

I needed a pipe leak repaired ASAP. I have a usual plumber, but he was booked up. Matt and Mike did a good job repairing the problem while respecting the rest of the area they were in.

3rd time using Taggart. They continue delivering quality work whenever I am in need of plumbing services. Sink drain was clogged and unfortunately, they had to go through the wall, and the job ended up being larger than just a simple snake job. They kept me informed every step of the way and went through the wall to install new pipes for the sink drain. They did a great job and were able to do it in the same day. On top of being great at their job, they have the soft skills. All the employees and owners I've ever spoken with is always very friendly.

Had to have gas line and gas meter relocated to make clearance for new retaining wall. Estimater showed up within hours of my call. We had a technician come out to give us and estimate. He was here less than 5 minutes and charged us $115. The estimate he gave us was double what the local competitor charged. We did not choose to have them do the work.

A tenant had a severely clogged bathroom sink drain. I called a local plumber at 8 AM and explained the problem. They promised to get back to me shortly. That was almost a week ago. They totally ignored my call. I just happened to see a bill board in Baden advertising Taggart Plumbing. I called Taggart and they responded on the same day and fixed the problem. The tenant reported that Chris was very nice. Most professional and efficient .Very satisfied!

Chuck was very nice and patient. While we did not go with the Estimate he was still extremely nice and explained everything to me in case we did eventually use them. I don't think I have met a contractor this professional since I moved here.

These guys are awesome! They put in a long day to make sure our sewage line was installed the right way. Whats more, they discovered another fault within my system. Thank you for fixing my leaking sewage pipe and addressing other drain problems. You guys were so respectful of my home, you took great care and pride in your work, and got rid of all my worries!

I realized I had a pretty bad leak coming through some drywall in my basement. I went to turn off the water to take a look, and the valve also sprung a leak. The Taggart team was able to quickly schedule me in, and showed up inside a small working window to get cracking. The team was great, found the cause of the initial leak, let me know their plan, provided me with some options, and gave me a quote. They were minimally invasive to get the job done, fantastic to work with, and the dog even loved them. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone, and say they're a must for anyone in the North Hills. Kind, Professional, and Good at what they do.

Finding a plumber can be a difficult experience but if you are in need of one you need look no further than TAGGART Plumbing. This is the first time I used Taggart plumbing and I will use them again for sure. Right around the holidays, and on a weekend evening of course, our shower/tub was baking up and the water wouldn’t go do down the drain. We also found the tub was leaking into the basement. Our home was built in the 1940’s, and what Visca explained was our tub had an old fashioned drum trap that was causing the problem. These type of drains are problematic and are not even in legal in some states now. Visca replaced the drum trap and overflow, did it quickly and cleaned up after himself. What really impressed me though was the fact that I called him on a weekend, late in the day, and he made time to come over that evening even though he was very busy. He asked if that was our only means to shower, which it was, and so made the time to help us out. He is friendly, kind and personable, and explained everything he was going to do. His prices were reasonable for the job and he charged by the job, not by the hour. It is obvious he cares about his customers on a personal level and that is rare to find these days. We are very, very happy with the job and will most definitely be using Taggart Plumbing in the future. I highly, highly recommend this company to anyone in the North Hills and surrounding areas. Great service will use again

I have used Taggart Plumbing several times over the last couple of months, and they have been great!
Initially, we had them fix a toilet that was leaking. We then had them install a new tub and vanity and new fixtures. We also had them do a pull and reset of another toilet, and raise the flange. All of their work has been excellent so far, so I have them scheduled tomorrow morning to replace the kitchen faucet.
In addition to the plumbers, Shani has been very helpful with scheduling and providing information.

Chris was great! Very efficient and explained everything to me in detail. Went over the cost and even offered advice if the issue should arise in the future. He showed up within the given time frame. He was polite and respectful and professional. I had a previous company here 3 times within the last month for the same issue and it still wasn't corrected. I called Taggart Monday morning after reading the great reviews. They got me an appointment for later that afternoon. Chris did great work and was very clean. I'm certain that the issue is now fixed and will definitely call them again for any future issues that may arise!

I may very well call Taggart just to hang out. They are an awesome local/community option for plumbing. They did a great job and the people (on the phone and on site making the repair) were awesome. Very responsive, very professional, quality work, reasonably priced, etc. I will be calling them to install a garbage disposal next.

Our cast iron main drain stack started leaking. We had 2 companies out to quote the repair, and chose Taggart based on the fact that they wore masks the entire time, their estimate was very easy to read and broken down into the multiple things we had them quote, they were on-time and professional, and they only quoted what had to be done to fix the leak. Since the leak happened during the Covid pandemic, right before Christmas, and we thought it was going to cost thousands to repair, we needed to use someone who accepted a credit card just in case which they do. We thought the entire stack would need replaced, but they suggested only the bottom 5 feet. The top portion was still good. The quote was way less than we expected. They had us scheduled quickly, and completed the work within 2 hours. They also replaced a corroded valve and installed a clean-out. The cost was exactly what they quoted. The work looks great and no more bubble baths on the basement floor! They followed up afterwards with a courtesy call also. We will absolutely have them back for more work. Highly recommend.

I was completely taken advantaged of! I called them for a frozen, busted line under my sink. My quote was outrageous. It was a waste of a service call which I of course had to pay for.

My water had sprung a leak in the early morning. I called Taggart and initially they did not have any openings for a few days. I then received a call back that there was a cancellation and that they could have someone out within an hour. Chris came and was very professional and replaced the old water heater in a good amount of time. The price was reasonable and I will definitely call again for any future plumbing problems that may come up.

Mike was on time and very professional. He was very educated on what did and did not need done and what we were or were not looking for. He was very helpful in explaining things and went above and beyond to help us. He got the job done quickly and without any mess. We had another company come out and quote us $6,000 because they could not remove a cap that was painted onto our house trap. He got it off in 2 minutes and was able to do the work for their regular price of $98. Very satisfied, and will use this company for any future plumbing needs!

Had water heater go out in early morning and Taggart was to our house within a short time and shortly after lunch we had new unit installed and we were back in business! Would recommend for sure!

I called Taggart Plumbing after an issue with a drain pipe from the bathroom. I received a message as they were en route at the beginning of the time window, and Chuck arrived a short time later. He was quick to identify the issue(s) and necessary steps to fix the issue. Chuck kept me up to date on the cost breakdown prior to completing each step and patiently answered the questions that I had. He was able to finish the work the same day, covered all floor and appliances while doing the work, and left the area clean. I would highly recommend their services!

Not only did they perform excellent service but they also took the time to explain what they did and what else may need to be done to prevent the issue from occurring again. In order to sell our home Pittsburgh requires a dye test to be performed. Taggart was out the day after we called and they were even early to the appointment. They filled out the form for us and completed the test in a timely fashion. We highly recommend them for any plumbing job you would have.

I had a plumbing emergency today and from start to finish I had a great experience with this company. They were able to fit me in even though they were on a tight schedule. All of the technicians were friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend this company !

These folks were great. Our water heater failed early in the morning & of course it would be during the holiday season. I called Taggert Plumbing & explained my problem realizing it would be difficult to get a replacement tank on such short notice plus have it installed. I settled for a next day replacement. Not long after I hung up I received a call from the owner saying they had a cancellation & would be able to install a new water heater for me now & of course I was elated. To make a long story short Michael from Taggert showed up at my door a short time later with a brand new water heater ready to install. This just keeps getting better. In no time Mike was hard at work tearing out the old tank & before I knew it I had a brand new water heater up & ready to go. It looks terrific. Mike could not have done a better job. So. If your looking for some help with your plumbing issues my suggestion would be to give Tiggart Plumbing a call.

Mike and his brother, Matt, installed a sump pump at my rental property. They first cleaned out the well to make sure no debris would hinder the performance of the new pump. Next, they installed a new water regulator and cleaned up the water meter next to it by installing washers that had been omitted from a previous plumber! Hats off to Taggart Plumbing for their plus one service. Excellent!

Chris came out a week ago for an emergency repair, then Mike came to check out the bigger issue. Yesterday, Mike and Visca came out to replace all of the plumbing from the bathroom. They did a great job, very respectful, and cleaned everything up when they were done. They spent close to 7 hours at the house, in a small entrance way and closet area. I give them all the credit in the world. (All three I’ve dealt with were amazing!)

Found the source of the problem but it required different type of service.

I was lookiong for a critical repair which I knew could turn difficult. The appointment service that contacted me was diligent, excellent and prompt. The repair and and installation work was extraordinary, professional, careful with old installation around, great expertise (and patience with all my questions). Fully recommend Taggart Plumbing and very specially the person providing the service, Chuck, besides expertise kept the area clean to a surprising level.

We have been son satisfied we decided to ask for another repair/rebuilt service, replacing the faucet of a kitchen sink and replacing the garbage triturator. As our first appointment, expertise, diligence and clean work showed again, we do recommend Taggart Plumbing for all those plumbing jobs that sometimes we believe we can do, and do not complete, nothing like having a professional job well done.

I had a pump fail, causing a sewage backup in my basement. They re-worked their schedule to get my job done quickly, which I definitely appreciated. Chris completed the repairs and I could tell just by looking at it that he did quality work.

They made time to come out and deal with our issue even on an fully booked day. Professional. Left a clean work space. They also went above and beyond by affixing the toilet flange on the basement which apparently was just sitting in place rather than being bolted in place. We will be having them out again to repair some other issues discovered today.

Plumber was very nice and did a professional job. Was very happy with the service. Expensive, but I needed the leak fixed the same day.

Had a leak and Chris was there the next day. Took some extra effort on his part to find the source of the leak, doing everything he could to preserve the house & tile. Once found the issue, he was quick to replace & repair with new parts. Thorough explanation of everything, and review of the charges.

Taggart Plumbing, LLC provided the best customer service. Their quality of work is phenomenal, and they make sure everything is how it is supposed to be. The clean up after the work was completed was exceptional, and above and beyond what was expected. They also advised they will check in, in about a month to ensure everything is in good working order. You can't ask for much more than that.

Visca came right on time to replace our water heater and thoroughly explained everything that needed to be done. He also diagnosed the water pressure issue in my kitchen sink and determined I need a new faucet and will return to replace it. This is the second time we have use Taggart and will call them again when the need arises. I also appreciated that he cleaned everything up when finished.

I have a re-occurring sewer pipe problem that the Taggert team always manages to fix quickly and effectively. They have also installed a toilet in our home which we are very happy with. Best part of their service is they always leave the area of service cleaned up .

Visca was very professional, friendly, and fast! And the pricing was roundabout what I was expecting for the issue I was dealing with. I think that Taggart is probably the most affordable and reliable service you could get in this field.

And for those of you afraid of calls, you can schedule online and receive emails/texts involving the service. So that should alleviate those concerns.
