Best Clean Out in Oakland CA

We have called Albert Nahman Plumbing and Heating on two occasions. Both times they were the only ones who were able to schedule an appointment quickly which is why we used them. The first time we called about our gas fireplace which wasn't working. The man who came to fix it was very rude and demeaning. He made me feel like an idiot for not being able to fix it myself and charged over $100 for 5 minutes of work. Took him longer to write up the bill than the repair itself.The second time our water heater was not working. We had already relit the pilot so we knew it would light. The technician first told us it wouldn't light- he clearly hadn't tried as the directions tell you to hold it down for 5 minutes, and he said it wouldn't light after 5 seconds. We asked him to try again, since we had just lit it, and he was able to, but would have been quick to sell us the incorrect diagnosis. Then, he told us there were 2 possible problems, but he couldn't be sure either would fix it. Each repair was estimated at over $600 ($1200+ total). The water heater was about $500 new so this seemed crazy. He also said it would take a week to get the parts (too long to not have hot water). We asked about replacing the water heater. He suggested a $2400 heater (including installation) and said it would be better because it had a 5 year warranty. Our original (much cheaper) water heater had a 6 year warranty. I asked about anything with a longer warranty. He mentioned a $3000 heater. He was very nice but clearly programmed to upsell expensive work/ products.While he was there I asked if he could look at a small problem we were having with the sink. It's happened before and required taking apart the input lines and cleaning them out. Takes less than an hour. He quoted $238 for the job.We declined all the work.I bought a new heater at home depot for ~$600 with a six year warranty and had it installed and the sink fixed by my contractor for $200 total. I could have spent a little more and gotten a 9 or 12 year warranty for under $1000. The company is good at getting there fast and the woman on the phone was very nice, but they are hoping to take advantage of people financially. If you care about price at all, don't use them.

I do not generally write reviews. I am glad to do this for Sure Shot. This was the 2nd job David has done for me this year. He does excellent work. He is on time, efficient, professional. Left the area clearer than it was when he got here. I will definitely use his services again should the need arise.

One Step was able to come the same day. Garvey quickly figured out the source of the leak and had the parts on hand to fix our tub. Friendly and reasonably priced - my new go to for any future plumbing needs.

We just had a great experience with We can do it Plumbing. They fixed a complicated shower valve situation that another plumber said couldn't be fixed by solving the problem creatively. They were respectful, skilled, communicative, and a joy to work with. Highly recommend.

My landlord let me remodel the hall bath shower. Thought I’d be able to switch out the plumbing, but once I had the wall opened, there was no way. Got a few prices that were crazy and emailed Jason and sent him some pics with measurements which told him everything. He recommended a different faucet set than I wanted and figured he knows his stuff and went with what he recommended. Their price was lower than the others. Set up a day and time for the tech to come out and he roughed in all the plumbing. Then I did all my magic and then set up a day and time for the tech to return and finish off the job. All this was thru emails, which can be a pain. Everything went better than I thought it would. Techs were great, called first to say they were in route, cleaned up after themselves and did a great job. If I remodel my shower, in the other bathroom, I’m calling Alligator Plumbing again and would highly recommend them to everyone !!!

Natalie was absolutely fantastic! She showed up quickly and worked super efficiently and even cleaned up all of the mess that was made while clearing the clog from my kitchen sink! I would recommend her before any other plumber in the Oakland area!

Highly recommend them, since they help me with a leaking roof and water damage to my ceiling during the rain storm we've been having lately.

They where abel to temporally patch my roof to stop the slow leak dripping down our kitchen ceiling and remove the water damage drywall in our ceiling.

They had to come back, after the roofer did a permanent fix on roof, to patch up and repair the different areas of where they removed the water damage drywall.

Abe installed some shelving for us above our fridge, and also built us a fence around a back patio, great job on both projects.
