I highly recommend Three 60 Plumbing & Remodeling! I am an off-island client who needed a LOT of work done on an apartment to get it to the point where I could sell it. I reached out to a number of contractors for quotes and spent a lot of time with some going back and forth in text, emails, and calls. It was a big waste of time with all of them except for Three 60 Plumbing & Remodeling.

Three 60 was efficient, good communicators, and gave me lots of great advice. Their estimates were thorough, detailed, and easy to understand. I felt that I could trust them to do the job I needed without me being there. They worked with me to narrow down the essentials of what needed to be done to get the apartment sale-ready and synch it with what I could afford. Their work was beyond what I was expecting. From drywalling, to electrical, plumbing, painting and cleaning, the entire apartment their work was excellent. The only things new in the bathroom are the drywall, paint, toilet, mirror, light switch and light fixture, but the whole bathroom looks new and even the terribly stained shower tiles – which I was afraid would have to be replaced – looked like new after their in-depth cleaning and refinishing (see before and after bathroom photos.) I highly recommend Three 60 Plumbing and Remodeling.

My journey with Steve’s Plumbing has been a frustrating and harrowing one, but it eventually ends well. When addressing my foundation issue, my contractor found that my sewer line was corroded. We were on a tight timeline and Steve’s Plumbing was the first plumbing business to respond. On July 22, 2021, Lyle came out to assess the situation. He had a technician come to fix the exposed part of the sewer line for a little more than $1300. Both he and the technician checked the whole sewer line via the main bathroom. Lyle said that relining the lines would be possible and that it could be done by Sunday, July 25th, which would allow my contractor to complete the foundation work on time. The total cost for that would be more than $17,000. Lyle had me pay half of it. I told Lyle that I did not get a receipt from the previous day and wanted to be sure that I received that one and one for the down payment on the relining. He called the office and said it should be coming within a day. That didn’t happen. Lyle said he would be checking up on the job on Saturday. That didn’t happen throughout the whole job. After multiple technicians and mistakes, the relining was completed on Tuesday, July 27th. There were several issues I wanted to address with management before I paid. That night I received an invoice for the relining job, but it was not what I originally signed. On Wednesday, July 28th, I called Steve’s Plumbing to speak to Lyle or another manager and to inform them that altering a signed business agreement was illegal. I was eventually informed that Lyle would be out to speak to me in person. After a 2 hour conversation with Lyle about my concerns including my thoughts on the poor communication and customer service at Steve’s Plumbing, Lyle apologized on behalf of the company and agreed to correct everything. I was leery. But Lyle stayed true to his word, in fact, he went above and beyond. Lyle fixed everything in the house himself. He then hooked up my washer/dryer and installed a laundry tub for me. Lyle has restored my faith restored in Steve’s Plumbing! The jury is still out on the effectiveness of the relining. But, I’m sure Lyle will fix any issues that may arise—he’s just that kind of person!

The quality of the work is superb. Neatly put on my window ac unit with with the outer trimmings looking very sharp. The price Is definitely reasonable too. Definitely would recommend Kama’aina Handyman.

Have you ever called the Home Depot and tried to get assistance? Good luck on that, as I waited 20 minutes three different times, only to be told that I'll try to have someone in that department get back to you. I ordered blinds from the Home Depot at 421 Alakawa Street, and paid in advance for the installation. After waiting a week and not hearing back from anyone in the service department, I made several calls, spoke to the call center phone employee, who couldn't bring up the installation program in her computer and said she'd again relay the message to someone in the blind department. She went on to tell me that 20 minute waiting periods to speak to someone in the call center was routine, as there are very few call center employees, sometimes only one, and they are receiving 6-8 calls at the same time. The Home Depot doesn't understand customer service at all, and I don't recommend buying anything that they don't have right in front of you and that you can take home and install yourself. Forget about calling the Call Center. Go to Lowes!
