Best Electricians in Indianapolis, IN

Jake and Jeremy of Central Electric just finished running wire for my hot tub which required burying the wire around a concrete patio. They also installed a ceiling fan in a cathedral ceiling. Jake was very responsive in all our communications, quick with a fair estimate, did a great job and stayed busy, They were very professional, took their boots off before entering my house after working in the yard, and were polite, friendly, and cordial. I will use CE again in a heartbeat if I need electrical work done. I highly recommend them.

Update 3/30:
Frye Electric sent out a second technician to complete our original service call today. Javier was a superstar! He was friendly, efficient, and committed to making sure we were satisfied with his work. He brought the necessary equipment and identified the problem quickly. We couldn't be happier with this second chance experience! We would gladly give FIVE STARS for Javier's work!!!

Original review for 3/27:
Our oven and a few outlets were not receiving any power. My husband is pretty handy, but he couldn't figure out the problem. He made an appointment with Frye Electric and informed them of the issue and what he had already done in the way of investigating the problem. Unfortunately, he was unable to be home for the appointment.
While I was entertaining and chasing after two little kids, our technician began looking into the problem. About 20 minutes in, he tells me he doesn't know what's wrong and my options are to schedule another appointment to trace the line with the line tester or open up drywall and re-run the line. I asked why he couldn't trace the line now and he informed me that the line tester is equipment that had to be specially requested (???!). On account of how I'm not an electrician, how would I know to request it? But I digress...
He then looked around for another hour. Then proceeded to reiterate that they would have to come back another day and my total was $233 (!!!!!!!!!!!). For what?! I asked. A $65 trip charge and an hour and a half of time charged in 30 minute increments. And now I'll be expected to shell out for another trip??
I called a couple other electricians who confirmed that they bring line testers to every trip as it's a basic tool. I believe the technician knew after 20 minutes that he wasn't able to complete my repair at that time, so it seems as though he burned up another hour to jack up the total cost.
I did call the company, but was told that all supervisors were on vacation. My husband talked to someone the next morning and made another appointment with the agreement that the second trip charge would be waived and $55 refunded from the first appointment. Maybe I'm being difficult, but I am still not satisfied with service, especially when we will end up paying over $200 BEFORE ANY ACTUAL REPAIRS. Who can afford to use this company at this rate?

Their project manager came back at night when it was dark to finalize and make sure everything looked great. I would highly recommend working with them!

Farrar has integrity in their work.
I hired a contractor to do a kitchen remodel who subcontracted the electrical to Farrar but never paid them.
Even though they didn't get paid for the job, they still stand behind their work and provide a warranty. They came back and corrected an issue at no charge to me. The employees who came to my house were professional and clean.

I hired Glenn to rewire my house and he has not finished the job! I have outlets that don’t work and lights that don’t work! He lies and says he’s coming on certain days at certain times and never shows up and ignores the phone when I try to call him and weeks later he will do the same thing and not show up and ignore my calls! I’m filing in small claims court!

My fiance and I bought a home knowing it would need a lot of work on the electrical system. There were many items that failed code and were safety hazards like open junctions in the walls/ceilings, incorrect wiring, no grounds, deteriorated wires, etc. Our realtor suggested Power Environments, so I called TJ, and it was a great decision! TJ came out and gave an estimate in person, which I really appreciated since many other companies just wanted to do it over the phone or via email. When the work started, the two members of his team, Adam and Ryan, were very professional. I appreciated the level of respect they showed me and my new (old) home. It was a big job, and it did take longer than they originally planned - but they wanted to make sure everything was done right and to my satisfaction. Everything looks really clean, is up to code, and I feel so much more at peace with the house now that it has a solid and safe electrical system. Thank you guys!! It's clear that this company focuses on good character and integrity in how they operate their business.

Cody reached out within a day or two of my request and was able to fix the faulty wiring of my garage outlets in a snap on their first visit.

They terminated stress cones incorrectly on my job and cost us tens of thousands in rework. Hacks.

I am extremely disgusted and angered by the lack of professionalism and lack of response from this company. Your company did the wiring for homes on the southside of Indianapolis. My sunroom has been completely without power for a little over 1 week. I scheduled an appointment for Monday, February 21st, a day I had off from work. The receptionist/office manager scheduled me for the time period of 1 to 4. I waited and called at 3pm to verify that someone was still coming out. I was told that some would be here within the hour. Well, as I write this, it is 6:24pm and no one has called or shown up. I've wasted 1/2 a day waiting and missed several opportunities to do things as well as have another company come out to assist. No one, NO ONE, had the descent courtesy to even call to notify me of any changes, etc... I will be sure to not recommend this company to anyone and will report this incident to the BBB.

I can't express enough how angry and disappointed I am that no one even bothered to call or notify me of any changes. I understand that things happen, but to just be brushed off completely? Not acceptable! This was 100% unprofessional and flat out rude!

I would not use this company. I failed inspection due to improper grounding and very unsafe wiring practices.
