NH Electric

This has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a contractor. The quality of the work was substandard, the attitude I got from Danny- as they blatantly tried to job-change scam me -was unprofessional, and the additional work that needed to be done all led to this. They did structural damage to my home, they didn't do the job as they said they would, and then refused to finish without charging me more money.

I was EXPLICITLY clear with these folks when they quoted me that I did not want to retain 1 single component from the original panel. We failed inspection because they didn't install AFCI breakers. They blamed the county inspector... Only one of two situations is possible from this... They don't know local building codes, or they do this on purpose to claim a job-change and charge more. Either one reflects extremely poorly on this company. They then proceeded to tell me it would be another $500 to do the job to code. To reiterate, they didn't finish the job I was quoted for, then claimed they needed an additional $500 to finish it. I was originally willing to pay it to just get it done. After asking for some clarification from Danny and getting chewed out, I realized this was going to be far more than $500 before they would finish the job. They were planning on taking me to the cleaners. I refused to continue with them.

I was also very clear when getting the quote that the line could not be run through the attic. Danny assured me this would be fine. They ripped a giant hole in my ceiling and left it wide open, because they went through the attic. They also destroyed a load bearing stud, one they used to mount the panel. I will never forget showing this to Danny, and he looked me dead in the eye and said its not structural. They just used that very stud to mount the panel. It also was supporting roof beams. Unbelievable! They also didn't install the panel according to the manual, leaving enough space for drywall. They installed it flush to the studs. It had to be moved. Additionally, they didn't mount the panel bus into the panel! They completely left out the screws to retain the bus. They called for an inspection with the panel bus floating in the panel!

The way they ran the line from the meter and along the house looked horrid. It looked like a drunk high schooler had hung Christmas lights, only it's a 200amp electrical line. I insisted they clean it up, but they never sealed all the holes they drilled through the siding, making a huge water infiltration hazard.

They also billed me before the job was done. Every step of the way with this company was unprofessional. This job very nearly ended in litigation. Unless you're willing to finalize your contract with the assistance of lawyers, AVOID NERD HOME!

The entire process was reliable and affordable ($150 lower than the main competitor with a big marketing budget) from estimate to service date. Dustin took his time, was thorough and very best. Would use again!

It would have been better to have for the electrician to come to the house and give the estimate than to have me send pictures to the wrong phone number and get an estimate and then resend the pictures to another phone and then get another estimate for almost a $1000 more. Then have two apprentices do the job. They did a good job but it's not what I was expecting. I asked that the power cable be routed under the hot tub motor, it was put in beside the motor. When I mentioned this the conduit was pushed up over the top of the motor. I will reroute the cable under the motor. The breaker box by the pool had the cover plate unsecured because the screw couldn't be driven in. I used a sheet metal screw to secure the plate. So far the installation is working. The other issues are the emails. Got a number of quotes that were for $0. Then got text that said the people would be arriving at a certain time but the guys were already working. Just seemed like the office was disconnected from the field workers. Did get a prompt email invoice with zero balance due, showing paid in full.

Wayne with NH did a great job installing a dedicated circuit for our new hot tub. He performed his tasks quickly and efficiently thoroughly testing successful completion. I would highly recommend Wayne and his manager Danny for any complex electrical jobs.

I can't say enough good things about Wayne and Dustin. They did a terrific job. I'm sure it was no easy task moving and replacing my electrical panel. They also added a dedicated plug for my sprinkler system so no more extension cords. They added a dedicated outlet for our freezer in the garage and upgraded our GFI outlets. Thanks also to Danny for coming out quickly and getting me an estimate fast.

came next day, installed ceiling fan in 3rd bedroom and Wayne was done so fast. Very professional , no hard sell nonsense, honest. Will definitely be using for any and all electrical work !!!

I had a power panel relocated and they completed 80% of the job. They wanted to charge me an additional $1800 to finish the job after paying almost $4000. I eventually got another electrician to complete the job properly. Save your money and sanity!

Arrived on time and very professional. I got 3 quotes and they weren’t the cheapest however they had the higher quality products and took the time to explain my project in detail. After adding 4 lights to my ceiling the teck did a good job cleaning up afterwards.

The work got done, but the experience was strange. The first electrician showed up, did a walk through and wrote up an estimate, was very professional. I signed the estimate and scheduled, then the electrician showed up, didn't seem to have any info what the job was, I had to show him. There was a GFCI to be installed, it was on the estimate but the electrician didn't seem to know anything about it, completed work and left (job done). The GFCI was missed. I called and NH sent him back the next business day to install the GFCI - the electrician then asked if an inspection was going to be done, I told him yes, and he wanted to know if all the work would be inspected or just the GFCI. Why would that matter? Shouldn't all the work be done up to inspection standards? After the job was completed (the second time) I received some emails with 'customer's signature' for commencement of work and acceptance of work done - I didn't sign those forms. The electrician didn't have any forms with him for me to sign and nothing that could have taken an electronic signature. It was all very odd. The inspection hasn't happened yet, and I'm hoping there are no problems, but it makes me reluctant to use the service again.

Dustin came out and he was so polite and efficient. He is definitely an asset for your company!

Updating my review from 1 star to give 4 stars. I had to call again but Danny finally came out and looked at what needed to be fixed from the project. Unlike the response from the owner below, Danny acknowledged that the box was placed where it could get wet and trip the breaker. After this, NH electric technicians came out quickly and moved the outdoor electrical box that was originally placed below grade by their technician and moved it to above grade to prevent it from getting wet and tripping the breaker. I am pleased with the final result but this was only after speaking with Danny that it was corrected. The customer service person Cindy likely will cause NH electric to lose a lot of business as she continued to be rude and dismissive of my concerns throughout this whole experience. I was not refunded my additional $125 service fee.

We have used NH Electric for multiple projects in our David Weekly home. I think their prices are competitive and their quality is good. They are very responsive and always have the ability to get done what I need or problem solve. I highly recommend NH Electric. My sister uses them also! They have installed simple lighting, ceiling fans in place of exterior light fixtures, recessed lighting, Repaired breakers, installed new plugs and moved plugs.

This company was paid for their work less the repair cost for damaged wires to our alarm system. They actually pulled a city required permit, they then voided the permit leaving us with no city inspection, after they cashed our check for payment. Very dirty tactics!!!! Save your time and money, avoid a headache!!!
Think twice before hiring this company!!! We had an awful experience with NH. As a consumer, we expected our job to be completed without issue, but in the end we ended up with a security alarm system that was left inoperable due to wires being damaged and NH leaving us to figure out what happened. After spending more than $400, ADT found and confirmed that wiring in the exact same area NH employees worked were damaged, which shorted out our gateway. It is not unreasonable to think, everything should go smoothly when dealing with experienced professionals, but it is critical to know who you are really dealing with should something go wrong.

Ezekiel and Matthew came to my house to install four outdoor lights today. The first ones were not exactly what I wanted so they were able to get what I wanted within a few minutes and delivered to my house. They did a great job and I am very pleased with the finished product. Even though they were here much longer than they anticipated they could not have been nicer. Would definitely recommend NH Electric.

I called the office the Friday afternoon before a holiday with a concern smelling an electrical chemical smell in my garage. They really went above and beyond to help me! They gave me peace of mind. It turned out that my outdoor freezer that I have had for over 20 years decided to burn out and damage my electrical outlet which they replaced. Ezekiel Labao was my electrician and he is wonderful. Dealing with NH Electric has been fantastic. First, Danny came to my house to evaluate my concerns, and gave me a very good feeling. He appeared to understand my issues, and told me what would likely have to happen. After scheduling the job, he came by again to chat, and actually started to dig a trench, since he was in the area and had an hour to kill. The next day Keith and Kyle showed up and got to work right away. They were professional and amiable, and kept me advised of their progress and told me when something I asked for was likely to be expensive. Unfortunately, I had a lot of issues to be resolved. I gave them the go ahead, but was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the final invoce was. We did leave open one task: to reconnect my pool light; the wires had been cut when I had a pergola removed and installed a pool enclosure. Again, K&K did a great job, and kept me in the loop. After all was said and done, once again, the invoice was much less than I had feared. I appreciate their hard work, professionalism, desire to keep me advised, and finally their nice prices. NH gave me a good price on their quote to install a new junction box and add it to my panel. Work was done as they said and in a timely manner. I will use them again for any electric service I need.

I paid them over $2,000 to bring one of my properties up to 4 point inspection standards. I didn’t care about the cost, just wanted all fixed and fast. After them showing up very late that day the Electrican only did 3/4 of the work and left. The Company didn’t complete the other $500 in labor until 2 months later after I had called dozens of times to inform them they didn’t do the work I had paid for. It then took them two more trips get everything working correctly. Don’t use this company. They will cost you more in time and stress then they are worth.

These guys did great. They ensured that the new fixtures were correct for the space and efficiently replaced/installed the new parts. They didn’t take much time, and kept the worksite neat and tidy. Very professional.

Danny from NH Electric did a great job. We needed a line installed for a new dishwasher. I explained that we would also be renovating the kitchen in about a year and Danny gave us the perfect solution to meet our current need, as well as give us flexibility for the renovation to come. I had a small project that needed to be done in the house. Once I made the call to NH Electric, it was assessed and completed in just three days. The electrician was very professional and courteous. He did not track up the house and cleaned up after the work was completed. I was highly satisfied. I have stored their number in my phone.

We had a most wonderful experience with this service! I did not want to do a permanent fix with our kitchen ceiling lighting, since we will be remodeling in a couple of years! So, our service man did a very cost efficient repair job that was more lighting that I expected, with much less cost than other estimates! I will be using this service with the remodel! Excellent work by Martin and team. They installed muliple fans, island bell pendent sets, nook pendant sets, 14 light chandelier set, 9 light chandelier and multiple fog LED light sets. They were always on time, very patient, did an incredible job and explained along the way with recommendations. I will recommend this company to everyone and you would not regret using their service. These folks wanted to charge me over $4000 to make repairs because I had a set of simple METER JAWS that JEA said were loose and causing partial power outage and damage to their meter. The cost changed 3 times. I was required to post a $825 deposit on an agreed upon $2750 estimate. They then determined they couldn't do the job as quoted and cost then jumped to over $4000! I cancelled the job. They refused to refund my deposit. I filed a dispute with VISA and the carge was reversed. THEN THESE CROOKS FILES A CONSTRUCTION LIEN ON MY PROPERTY!!! THEY DID ABSOLUTELY NO WORK TO CORRECT THE DISCREPANCY I NEEDED FIXED AND TOOK 2 MONTHS TO NOT DO ANYTHING!

I was very pleased with NH Electric. I replaced exterior wiring and lighting. They were punctual, professional and courteous. There were no surprise expenses and all clean up done before leaving the property. I would recommend this company highly.

NH Electric is a phenomenal company. We called them on a whim, they immediately responded and even came out the same day to install the power for a spa. Louis ran the show and was super helpful and really helped us out. He was very professional and walked us through how to work everything. Jeremy also helped and was very thorough and professional. We will always use NH Electric and highly recommended them for your electrical needs.

Danny was great, professional and friendly. He arrived on time for both the estimate and actual project. Once he arrived he got right to work and completed the job in the time frame and for the price quoted. He also cleaned up after himself at the end. He also answered any questions that I had. The NH Electric will be my go to company for any future electrical problems or projects I may have.

Techs came to the residence on time and upon surveying the work to be done, obtained the required supplies. External lighting was worked on while the indoor lighting was being replaced and revisions to the plan was suggested. Upon agreement, the indoor fixtures were replaced, one chandelier was installed and an outdoor plug corrected and shielded.

Matt and Brandon arrived promptly. Early in fact. Replaced a GFI outlet in my garage to my irrigation system. Discussed future work, new lawn lighting, install new electrical outlet by my front door and outside motion detector lighting.
Getting estimate for job. I felt they were honest and trustworthy. I would recommend them.

These guys are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! My home was broken into leaving my wife and I feeling so Violated and Vulnerable. One of the worst feelings you could imagine. We had an intruder just rummaging through our personal space. My wife was crying and all I could do was hold her and tell her I would get this RESOLVED so it NEVER happens again. I called Nerd Home immediately at 9:00 pm and spoke with Tim expressing my immediate need of a resolution. He assured me they'd be at our home the next day. Then 3 minutes Later Blair called me and gave me a few several options to consider. This told me these guys really cared and were serious about helping us!! They were at my home the very next day. Tim was very informative and sincere about helping us make our home safe. Our surveillance was installed promptly!! I can't even begin to try and explain the piece of mind it brought to us. I had some under cabinet lighting installed. Keith did exactly what was stated on the quote. He is a true professional and does great work. I felt the cost for what they did was very reasonable. Extremely satisfied with the recessed lights and the fact they cut a trench for my island vs me having to do it. The quality of the work was really good aside from the initial cut on the slab and island studs. But cleaned up ok with minimal work on my end. Let's face it they can't run wires without a little patch work. Placement of a couple switch boxes (fine finish) wasn't the greatest but my job was a rush and these guys knocked it out in a couple days and scheduled it 3 days after estimate. We can always do better but I'm happy with the results. THANK YOU FOR NOT CUTTING A MILLION HOLES IN MY CEILING FOR RECESSED. These came out spectacular! Well done - Scott, Danny, and Shannon. We needed a kitchen pendant light replaced. We called another electrician we had used in the past and they quoted over $700 to do the job. That seemed unreasonably high for what should be a relatively simple job. We called NH and they sent someone out the next day. He removed the old light and installed the new one. The original quote was for about $200 but they ended up needing to replace the dimmer so it wound up being around $300. We are very happy with the work and the price. We will call NH the next time we need an electrician.

We have replaced fan and light fixtures repaired lights and much more. The projects have been completed on time with excellent workmanship. They wear masks, clean up the workplace. Er are very happy with NH Electric.

Over the past 2 years, we have exclusively used NH Electric anytime we needed work done because of the quality of service. I have never written a review of anything or any company, but today, we had Danny here to do some more projects, and for the first time EVER, I saw a tradesman wash his hands BEFORE he put up the snow white can light trim rings!!!
While I know it sounds like a little thing, it totally blew me away!! NH Electric cannot be beat, and they prove it every time they do work for us.

Keith was on time,confirmed the previous evening,(which I love because my memory is not the greatest)and was neat,friendly and professional. I am already booking him for a chandelier change and replacement of my old bathroom fixtures. Highly recommend!.

Electrician Matt Reid did a fantastic job, answered all my questions...very professional.

Needed panel wires covered from a house inspection notation. Called NH electric for a quote. No charge for quote or trip charge. Three other companies were $60 to $100 just to provide a quote. The estimator was extremely helpful as well as Scott the electrician who did the work. Very efficient and helpful.

I highly recommend this company. They were great to work with. Installed a very complicated chandelier for me and moved 2 electrical plugs. Reasonably priced and on time. Job well done and cleaned up after themselves. I will use them again for any electrical work I need done.

We wanted to change the amperage on our fuse box to install a new water heater. NH came, did an evaluation, and with their recommendation we decided to not make that change because it would require major rewiring.

WOW! Really I’m not in the habit of writing reviews but I have to. NH Electric sent Keith Dixon over to do a list of things we’d gotten quotes for. Keith was on time, very professional and prepared to do the work. Everything done perfectly at the quoted price. Amazing experience. If I could give 10 stars I would!

Jeremy was prompt professional and very attentive to my questions. I appreciated his ability to not only listen to my concerns but point out some of the things I was looking to do we’re just not possible at this time without ripping into the wall and making a fan replacement a much bigger process. I asked a couple of the other questions and will follow up and use NH electric another time when I have the light fixture I want to replace. Thank you for your prompt reply to my online inquiry.

Completely satisfied with NH electric for installation of ceiling electric, wall switch for same, and installation of ceiling fan. Very professional and customer friendly, including education regarding same. Would absolutely call them for future electrical services needed. Rating 10/10.

All of our power went out one very cold evening. We called NH Electric's night-time electrician and Louis was at our house within an hour. He fixed the problem quickly and was tidy. What a lifesaver!

The ceiling fan box in the kitchen was installed above the ceiling level which required cutting the ceiling dry wall to fit fan where it's supposed to go. Also box was loose. It should be solid so fan doesn't wobble. Have to hire somebody else to fix it as they have not returned after repeatedly saying they will. Low voltage wires fell out from where they were stuffed between the cabinet and microwave. Conduit installed in concrete was not below ground level at the wall. I had to disassemble kitchen cabinet to cut out bottom of the cabinet back so it would fit tight against the wall. Do not hire them. No follow through. Horrible customer service. They keep saying they'll come fix it but never show up.

NH Electric installed our 120v switch for our new tankless water heater. Matt Reid was very professional & friendly & the job was completed very efficiently!

We had a tech out yesterday from NH Electric to fix some electrical issues in our kitchen. They were early, friendly and polite and got the job done quickly. We will use them again.

Contacted via Home Advisor on Tuesday evening. Got an initial response the same night, spoke with customer service on Wednesday morning, obtained a quote, green lighted the work and electrician arrived on time this morning, completed the work and was gone within 90 minutes.

Matt was on time, pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. He fixed the problem quickly. Cost was reasonable. I will definitely use NH electric again.

I highly recommend NH Electric! I converted my wood burning fireplace to an Electric Log Fireplace. I did not want any dangling wires and needed someone to run the outlet from the log through the fireplace and the wall and connect it directly to the outlet. My electrician Manny was SUPERB! He was Knowledgeable, Professional, Courteous, and worked Expeditiously to complete the task! I've worked with other electric companies in the past; however, NH Electric has proven to be the most Professional, Knowledgeable, and Economical to date!
