All employees, especially Lucas and Andy were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Questions were answered immediately in language I could understand. They arrived at at scheduled time and preformed in a professional manner, leaving the site cleaner than they found. The final price was exactly what was estimated. I will definitely be recommending them to people looking for electrical work.

From the beginning of the price quote till the end of the job, was very satisfied. I remember Lucas, Travis, Alex and another young man I forgot his name they all very helpful, show respect done the job well and clean. I’m very happy with them and will recommend to friends and family.

From my initial call to Jake through the installation Bolt Electric was wonderful.
Lucas did the estimate. Alex did the installation. They were all extremely nice & very professional. They walked me through the process step-by-step & did a great job. I got an estimate from
another co & it was over twice as much as Bolt Electric charged. Excellent company!

We had lights installed for the back of our property. They worked for about a month then quit. I have Called Bolt Electric multiple times over two months to have them repair their own work. NO RESPONSE. Person answering the phone says they have relayed the message. Wow, that really helps! I called three times, texted four times for resolution over a period spanning a month. Not great by any standard and this was to fix an issue with work they had already been paid for. BBB here we come.

After posting a Google review of the experience I was contacted again by the company. They still didn't resolve the issue but wanted the review changed. Thye then canceled the appointment they had made to resolve the issue as well. This due to the review reflecting their performance. I think that tells a great deal.

After receiving a no call, no show from David Gray Electric, I called Bolt Electric on Tuesday May 31st. Heather was the sales rep and she was knowledgeable, personable, and very thorough in the questions she had for what I wanted done. She scheduled Lucas to come look at my house the very next day on June 1st. Not only did he arrive earlier than estimated to my house, he informed me of something that the inspector missed when I purchased this house back in February, which could have literally burned my house down. I went home to check it out and lo and behold he was absolutely right, my electrical panel was discolored from heat damage. The price I was quoted for a new electrical panel alongside repairing a short in a circuit in my house was more than fair, and they sent Mark to my house June 2nd to perform the breaker box change. Then Alex come to fix the short, and his work was superb, he left absolutely no trace that he was even there because he was so clean. In addition, they took care of the permit, which is something many companies will jack the price up on and overcharge their client for. I would absolutely, 100 percent recommend this company to anyone.  From the customer service rep, down to the work performed A+.

A+, highly recommend! I unexpectedly had to get my outdated electrical panel upgraded to renew my insurance. Bolt Electric replaced it for the best price, and did a great job! Their electrician Josh could not have been more professional through a long tedious job. I gave your number to my insurance agent for her other customers needing the same thing.

Lucas did a great job at our property. I had two other electricians out, and they either never got back to me or suggested less than ideal solutions. This was a time-sensitive job and I finally found Bolt the day before I needed the work done. Lucas was out at the property within 2 hours, listened to what I was trying to do, and suggested a solution that was better than mine. His crew was there the NEXT DAY to complete the work! They did a great job and he even stopped by later that day to supervise and make sure the work was performed correctly. When I was able to stop by a few days later, everything looked great. This review is written based on principle and very important for future customers to know: Do not pay your invoice until you have a written statement or notes regarding the diagnostic from the visit.

On June 14, 2022 before 7pm, my tenant notified me that the lights in the home she rents were flickering. She heard a humming noise and then started to smell burning plastic. Fearing for her safety, I immediately got on the phone to call an electrician. Most were not available after hours, so I got in touch with one of my contractors who is able to run over and take a look and investigate. He suggested we turn everything off and to keep calling for an electrician. Over the course of an hour, we finally got in touch with Bolt Electric. I'm not sure if it was the owner, but one of their technicians visited the home a little after 8pm. He performed an inspection and found out that it was an issue JEA. He stayed to assist my tenant in calling JEA and pointed out his theory to them which prompted them came out. Which I was grateful for. It appears in the past, JEA ran temporary lines to the property and neglected to update the line which caused a surge. Thankfully, the house did not catch fire with the tenant in it. With this power surge came damages to my personal property.

Later, a friend who works for JEA heard about the story and felt I should file a claim. It would make sense the date on the electrical visit would match the same date JEA visited, I had a reasonable case. So, I contacted JEA to file a claim. In order for JEA to consider my case, they require something in writing about what transpired the evening the electrician visited.

I paid Bolt Electric $298+ tax PROMPTLY (as I do with all my venders) for their emergency visit on June 14, 2022 at 9:17pm. Not predicting the future, I somehow screwed myself over because I neglected to collect an invoice with notes of the technicians discovery. It's likely JEA will reimburse me for this emergency visit plus damages if I can prove in writing what transpired the night I hired Bolt Electric by Bolt Electric. Super easy and simple request, you'd think....

Since then I've tried contacting Bolt Electric several times via phone and emails. I even cc'd the company on the email to the JEA claims department for an explanation — still nothing.....I was told once by Bolt's admin, Heather, the technician would be calling me — again, nothing.

From a small local business to another, this is very upsetting to think, we can't help each other out. This is a telling story that shows how money is more important to a company than building relationships. This is definitely not how I run my business.

Again, this is a very hard lesson to learn especially when you've always lived a life having faith that people would help do the right thing.

My technicians Alex and Josh were Uber professional and they arrived early for the job. They also worked hard in the heat to get my panel done. Excellent work.

Great to work with - easy install for Tesla super charger at home.

I called Bolt Eletric to get the alumin-cron procedure done on my wiring because I have aluminum wire and you cannot get insurance in Florida with aluminum wiring. Bolt electric came in on time and completed the process in a professional timely matter. The technicians were outstanding. I have used this company about four times and they are always prompt and professional. I would recommend this company to anybody who needs any electrical work done.

Second time we’ve had the pleasure of asking them for assistance. Both times they are professional, extremely knowledgeable, punctual, timely and thorough with their task. They also have great communication skills able to explain any problems you may be experiencing done to an elementary understanding if needed. If we ever need help again we know who to call.

Maybe just a string of bad luck. I've used them before and they were good. This time we had alot of issues with getting proper lights and miscommunication. The actual Electrician was super nice, did nice work and cleaned up. Their prices are also good. I kind of hold management at fault in this situation. I had to chase for updates. Some feedback would be if you have to go back to a client's house 3 times, management should be all over the situation and calling the client. Otherwise the quality of work was good.

Bolt Electric is amazing! Sean and Cameron came out and replaced our breaker box as an upgrade to the one we had, and every unforeseen issue that popped up they took care of. Went from a simple 5 hour install to a 13 hour one due to those issues. Hunted through every outlet when some of the new breakers were constantly tripping. Even came back within an hour of calling the office when one tripped later on in the day and wouldn't stay on! Between the prompt responses, thorough work, great pricing, and good communication with us we'll be going back to them for every electrical need we have.

They came in and saved the day for our vacationers—Keeping our business profitable and our guests happy. I compared regional prices and found their quotes to highly competitive and of great value! They arranged such timely service that we were able to stay operational. Thank you!

I was referred to Bolt Electric by a friend, And I will recommend them to others.

I was told on two separate occasions to wait for a technician. The first day I was asked to wait from 1pm-5pm. The tech showed up around 5:30 complaining that he had been screwed over by a lady in his office by being told last minute about my appointment even though I had called in the morning. I needed security cameras installed, so he removed my outside light fixtures but brought a ladder that was too short and said he would need longer nails. The next day I was given another time frame, and he still did not show. I called and he later called me back saying he had looked around for long enough nails but couldn’t find them and said he would try on Monday, which I declined. The communication was terrible with them and I was left with my outside light fixtures being left on my kitchen countertops, exposed wires outside my home, and nothing done. It was very apparent that I was seen as more of an inconvenience to the technician as opposed to a customer he really wanted to help. I would not recommend them at all.

In Response To the Owner: The technician showed up and wanted to screw the fixtures themselves directly into the house. He never attempted to affix the lights mounting bracket to the home, before attempting to connect the light. This is a basic step that even YouTube explains. I had a different company come out and install them with ONLY the parts that came with them in the box. Additional screws were NOT needed. This technician was very vocal about how inconvenient it was, especially considering it was a Friday night. I hate to write bad reviews, but this was some of the worst customer service I have experienced.

I needed maintenance on my generator. Tommy came, and he is fantastic, the best service I have every had.. Explained everything he was doing, what I needed to do, routinely, and how to do it. He also set me up to only need 3 steps to convert from street to generator power, and back again. He also walked me through doing this several times, I now have no concerns if the power goes out, he made it so easy. I will definitely request him again for my next maintenance, he is fantastic.

Lucas was on time and ready to get to work. Very efficient and fast. Will definitely call Bolt Electric and ask for Lucas the next time I need additional work done. Very happy and confident in his work.

I have had Bolt Electric do a variety of projects over the last year. They quickly respond to phone messages and arrange for someone to come out to assess the project. They send an estimate right away and are ready to set up a schedule for the project. I have had good work done with polite workers who clean up any messes and complete the work within a reasonable time. The prices are also reasonable. I would recommend Bolt Electric for your simple and difficult electrical projects.

Excellent work. An honest electrician who knows his stuff and gets the job done quickly. We thought the problem was one thing and it was really something else, but he charged us a fair price and made the fixes quickly. We are very happy and will definitely do business with him again!

Our experience has been very good with Bolt Electric. We used them for adding outlets in our garage a while back. Recently we had some light fixtures changed out. Both times arrived when stated, work was done. Prices seem reasonable. Would highly recommend.

Lucas and his team are amazing! They gave us the best quote for installing our whole house generator. We also had them do some electrical work inside involving our outlets-they made sure to be specific in their repair explanation so that our home warranty would cover part of the repair. They are attentive and professional-they make their customers a priority and that is very hard to find these days. I cannot praise this company enough-if you are in need of ANY electrical work-look no further. I am a huge researcher and I can promise you I have already done all of the work to find this diamond in the rough.

The work was completed well. But there were some serious communication issues that made me feel uncomfortable and even unsafe.

My estimate appointment went well.

However, the day of my appointment window for the work (8 am to 11 am) I didn't hear from the company until after noon and was asked to send photos so the tech could get parts. A few hours later I was informed they didn't have the necessary parts. They offered an appointment window 4 days later at the same time(8 to 11 am) and I agreed. That day I didn't hear from the company until 4 pm, when I received a voicemail that the electrician was en route. I called back and asked for their name and an idea of how long the work would take, since I'd been told 4 to 6 hours by the man who gave me an estimate. I wake up very early for work so I wasn't interested in having a stranger in my home until 10 pm; I was told the work would take 1 hour since the electrician would have a coworker with them to help.

When he arrived, he was a different technician than I had been told over the phone and he was alone. This is a very uncomfortable situation for a woman who lives alone; do I turn them away and have to start from scratch to find someone to do the work? Or let a strange man into your home in the hope they're legit?

Alex did a great job and was utterly professional, but I was deeply unimpressed with the logistical experience.

Professional from start to finish. My request was for a small job, installing a light over a small island where no previous wiring existed. The installation took less than an hour and it looks beautiful. And the bonus is no mess they clean up after themselves. Totally professional. Will be using them again as we continue we our remodeling .

Lucas arrived early and was able to fix a wiring issue quickly that had stumped me and my boyfriend. He was efficient and tidy. The whole process was super easy!

2 young men arrived as scheduled and replaced my main electric panel. They were professional and courteous and did a neat and clean job. All work was performed to my complete satisfaction without any comments necessary on my part. The final invoice exactly matched the estimate and I am very pleased with the finished product.

Made an appointment to get a quote for a portable generator hook up. Appointment was made between the hours of 8-11 am. I waited for them to show up. At 11:20am I called Bolt and was informed that the technician ran into a problem and he would be here in 45 minutes. Approximately 45 minutes later I received a call from the person that schedules the technician at Bolt and I was informed that he had not left the previous job. At that point I said forget it. There follow-up is horrible. A simple call and I would have understood. I will never use them. There are plenty of other choices. There follow up needs improvement.

Lucas arrived on time and met with my husband. Very professional and looked at our electrical panel. Made some recommendations and installed a new breaker and hooked up wiring. Also gave quote for new projects that were requested. Came in under budget that was quoted over the phone. Would hire again. Thank you.

Be aware, Bolt Electric will try to force a upsale on you. They will lie to try to get more money. I gave them architectural plans before they quoted me, and Lucas also inspected all work that needed to be done during his initial walk thru/inspection, before he quoted us. He emailed us a quote before any electrical work was started in 02/2021.

Maybe a couple days after they begin working, Sean asked for full payment, and I said no, because I don't feel comfortable paying you in full before the work is completed. Sean let it go, then a couple days go by, Sean asked for payment again. Then I ask him, why are there wires hanging from the ceiling, has all of the plugs been tested? I can't pay you in ful until the job is complete. After the work was almost complete, that's when Lucas approached me for full payment, but now he wants us to pay him extra, but told me to pay the original quote $4,000.00 now, , and he'll figure the new balances later. $1,800.00 extra, almost 50 percent the original quote.

Bolt Electric surprised us later with a extra bill for work that was not outside the scope of the architectural approved plans they've already reviewed. They also billed us again for a job that we hired them to do last February 2020, to get power to the building.

We still haven't seen pics proving their recent random service claim? Is it standard for meter jaws to be replaced once a year?

We didn't expect a bill that would be increased almost 50 percent of the original quote, I was shocked while meeting with Sean yesterday, Bolt Electric employee. As he was asking me for credit card numbers, I was asking him for the price he was charging me. Sean stuttered, and then he showed me the new price. (Sean is one of three employees of Bolt Electric that was on site regularly.)

Lucas, you have my number. I'll pay you the original quote. $1,800.00 extra you want, is a disturbing ridiculous miscalculation, sounds illegal actually. Dude, it's only a 30x40 structure, a box. M.G.

Brian was excellent in his service. He was very respectful, patient, and went above and beyond. He replaced a high light fixture on a vaulted ceiling and a few very high light bulbs requiring him to stand on the very top of the ladder. He was determined to complete all the tasks with satisfactory performance!

I needed wiring issues corrected for my mom immediately and Bolt Electric was able to take care of the problems. They are a great group of individuals that take their profession seriously. After taking the time to explain the problems and how they needed to be corrected, they took before and after pictures and sent them to me because I live in another state. A friend referred them to me and I was very pleased with the outcome. Thanks Bolt Electric!

Outdoor Gazebo has outlets, but the power isn’t making it to them. Had Bolt come out to fix and they told me they’d charge a fee of $318 to diagnose and fix the problem. They charged $318. They diagnosed the problem. But nothing was fixed. They did swap out a couple old outlets(one was poorly installed as the cover is scraping against my house), but what’s the point when they don’t work. That’s not even where the 2-star rating is earned. The tech told me they could come out and rerun some wiring and conduit and have me powered, but it would require a separate appointment/fee. At first I considered doing it myself, but then I decided to have them quote the job (Forgive me for not outright hiring them when I already thought I paid them to fix the issue but instead paid $318 to have 2 receptacles replaced). TBH, no matter the cost, I was gonna hire them to do the job. Problem was, they were non-responsive. Alex called me on a Thursday morning and asked for measurements of my fence line where the wire would run. I called back 10 minutes later with the measurement and left the info with Heather who was going to give it to Lucas. I was supposed to hear back with a quote that day, nothing. Friday passed. I sent a text. I called and left a voicemail, it has been about 2 weeks and I have still not heard from them.

I was lined up to have them do the outside job, then a couple other jobs inside because they had done a prior job on my electrical panel that I was VERY satisfied with. But instead of leaving a positive review and giving them more of my money, I am here leaving this review and them apparently not wanting my money.

I am open to editing this review if they can remedy this issue.

Update 6/6/22 In response to Bolts response on 6/6/22:
My original review was posted here for 5 months without any response until I just reduced my rating from a 2 star to a 1 star review because it had been 5 months without any response from Bolt. It is true that the day Alex replaced the outlets, I said I wanted to consider running the line myself (and I mentioned as much in my original review), however, I never received a call-back with a quote or an estimate via email... or even just a call-back at all. For you to say you did provide that and were waiting on me is dishonest. I spoke to Heather and Lucas was supposed to call me back- but never did. At this point, I don't need the job done- that ship sailed after I waited 2 months without a reply and I had to find an alternative.

Overall we had a fantastic experience with Bolt Electric and I would recommend their services. They are prompt, stand behind their work, and are competitively priced. We will definitely use them again for any future jobs.

On time, fair price and provided estimate via electronic media making it easy to approve estimate and schedule appointment. Found their process to be easy and very accommodating.

Service of installation was very professional. But the first thing I asked them before sliding the new oven into place was to give me a chance to clean where the old one had been because there were splatters of food on all the walls and the floor was very dirty. This was years of accumulation of food, grease, and dirt. Unfortunately they put the oven back without letting me clean. Almost in tears, I went to take a nap. And voila, when I woke up, my husband informed me the gentlemen had came back and got on their knees and did all the cleaning. This was an especially kind act since I am recovering from a serious concussion. A great big thunderbolt to you, BOLT ELECTRIC!

We needed a home safety inspection on an investment property we bought from afar. We were not familiar with the process and were happy with Bolt Electric's explanation via e-mail regarding, not only their price, but the entire process, start to finish. The level of communication is fantastic! E-mails, texts and phone calls to ensure the best service! I’ve know Lucas Thomas going on now probably in the ball park of 10 years and to call him my go to electrician wouldn’t do him justice. He’s more then my electrician he’s now become a family friend and is like my brother. I no longer ask him for a price when it comes to any repair I just tell him to take care of me and he does. He shows up on time, is clean cut and respectful and most important he’s not a salesman. He’s an honest upfront electrician that makes great recommendations for safety and functionality purposes. He recommends items and when I say no he’s not pushy or gets mad like other companies I’ve used, he just says ok and makes sure I understand these items are important and should get fixed in the near future. I trust him with my family’s safety 110%.

Bolt ran a new outlet outside and installed a ceiling fan. He came when expected. He was very personable and respectful. Did the job right and cleaned up after himself. I'm very happy with the service!

Bolt Electric is everything they claim. They show up on time and give a call to let you know they're on their way. Technician wore booties at my request since I recently got new carpet. He cleaned up afterwards and since I don't have a home computer, I was provided with a hard copy receipt. I would recommend to all my friends.

It's hard to have trust in a vendor that comes to our homes to solve any problem we have little of no knowledge of. How do I make informed decisions. Well, Wayne from Bolt electric resolved our problems successfully and professionally and won my trust by explaining every detail of what was wrong and his recommendations for repair.
We had a new oven installed but we found that there was no power to the oven, so I had to call an electrician. I called Bolt electric. Their electrician, Wayne, found the problem but in doing so he discovered that the electrical panel was not only out dated but that some of the wires showed burning at the ends. He suggested that it was time to upgrade the panel. I believe it was unsafe and did need replacing.
Bottom line, the price was in line with other estimates I've received. Along with adding 2 dedicated lines for my garage workshop, the panel was installed neatly and just what I needed to be done. I'll be a return customer if I have a need for an electrician.

Came out and gave us an estimate to install a GFI breaker for a pool. Arrived on time for both the estimate and installation. I’ll definitely use them in the future if we need any additional electrical work.

Danny was awesome! Prompt, pleasant, efficient, and super friendly to my daughter and pets. He installed a new ceiling fan in my living room and it works perfectly. I will definitely use Bolt Electric again and ask for Danny!

Electrician was very efficient and honest. I was told my room required rewiring by another electric company. When the Bolt electrician arrived, within 10 mins, I was told my sockets were out, NOT to rewire the entire room. Of course, that is a substantial savings!!

Lucas of Bolt Electric was incredibly informative, friendly and thorough. He took the time to show+explain everything what he was doing so we actually understood what had happened and why. Plus we never felt like we were being taken advantage or fed BS.

Called in the evening, and had a fella out the following morning. Wasn’t a complicated job, but he got it done quick. Little steep $ for a quick house call but that’s the way it goes.

The previous owner of our house was a do it yourself kind of guy. He cut corners resulting in many different electrical issues. Lucas and Wayne were able to diagnose the problems and worked on solutions to resolve issues with the proper wires and boxes. I would highly recommend.

The technician (Eric) was awesome. Courteous and professional while installing flood lights at my home with expertise and attention to detail.

They installed a level 2 charger in my garage for an electric car. When the electrician first came out to take a look at the project, I had not purchased the charger yet. He had me call the company, and he talked to them, electrician-speak about the unit, to make sure he would have what he needed. When he returned to install it, he had noticed on his first visit that I did not have surge protection on my electric panel, (and he fixed that). I plan on using them for any electrical needs I may have in the future.

Guy showed up in the timeframe I was given. Would be a 5 star but he had to go back to the office before he started working to get a piece for the job. The lady in the office (I’m sorry I forgot her name) was very nice and pleasant to talk to.

Very good at getting the appointment and executing the work. A little bit of a run around with me but insurance agent got what he needed from them. Would use again on my home in Florida.
