I had used Black Mountain Plumbing for a new hot water heater in 2022. They were my go to service when i discovered a leak under my kitchen sink. Since it had been suggested it might be a faucet issue when I first called in, I purchased a new faucet at Lowe’s before the scheduled appointment. . Daniel arrived promptly the next day, assessing the problem swiftly and accurately showing me exactly where the problem lay. Daniel was able to install it quickly. He also checked water pressure and cleaned up thoroughly. He offered a senior discount as well. I highly recommend Black Mountain Plumbing for their excellent service.

Do you know when you have a big issue and need urgent a friend’s recommendation of a great plumber? Well that’s me telling you that this is the place to call. Soleman came to our home and did a honest assessment. We were having major issues in our kitchen sink related to roots. Great experience. Problem solved. And yes they will come back to crawl under the house and review what is going on. That’s the kind of company that you trust. They won’t over charge.

The crew was on time and up front about all costs for the inspection. They detected the leak quickly and were able to fix the problem without delay. As for the fee associated with the visit I would say you get what you pay for. I recommend Black Mountain Plumbing to anyone that has a plumbing issue.

A routine job to replace the regulator makes a huge disaster!They came to replace Pressure Regulator Valve on Monday morning and told me everything was good, no water leakage after it is done. Right after they left, I notice the dishwasher was complaining leakage. I called them right away, but they said they did not touch the pipe. Okay, I thought it might be something wrong with the dishwasher itself. The next day, on Tuesday afternoon, I came back home and notice the water heat closet is completed soaked and flooded and the bedroom, hallway, entry close to that area also have wet drywall. The front door is also out of shape. I call them again, they emphasized it is not related to the replace of regulator and they refused to send someone to check the status as a follow up of the regulator replacement. Their manager or supervisor yelled at me, and said he has many years of experience and it is completed none of their business. He even wanted to charge me $167 for the followup check, plus ~$900 to remove the leaked water heat.Replacing the regulator is very tricky. It could generate a sudden and strong water pressure to the water pipes and equipment, such as water heater. Besides, the leakage takes time to be noticed. There is no water leakage right after the replacement does not mean there is no leakage. They should switch on the regulator slowly after the replacement. They should also have a follow up check later on the same day and the day after. They did not do that.I have a flooded house due to their improper operation. They do not want to offer the followup check. Their attitude to me even make it worse. I will definitely stay away from this company.

Daniel was on time, he was very friendly and explained all that he was going to do and what might have to do. He was very informative, friendly, we really like him. We have had come in the past and did some work for us. WE really trust him and the company. He did a good job. I would recommend Black Mountain and Daniel. Prices were good.

My family has used Black Mountain in the past. Today, they didn’t have any immediate availability for an emergency call, but Robert walked me through changing a valve over the phone. Other companies wanted $500+ for the service call and I was utterly impressed with the service and honesty of Robert. Will definitely use them in the future!

I have used Black Mountain before with high satisfaction. But this time I told them that I needed the flapper valve replaced on several toilets, which they’ve done before. When the plumber arrived, he said that BMP had changed their policy and would no longer just replace the flapper valves for “liability reason”. The minimum they would do is a “partial rebuild” of the toilet for several hundred dollars per toilet. I’m not mad at the guy, but they changed the policy without notice and didn’t inform me of the policy when I specifically requested and scheduled the appointment to replace the flapper valve.* Update: I got a call from the owner apologizing for the situation. He acknowledged that their policy had changed, and that it was due to higher costs of labor, gas, parts, insurance, etc for their business. He also said I should have been told up front that they couldn’t come to the house anymore for such a low cost/low effort job. I appreciated his candor and customer service. So I changed my review from 1-3 stars.

Called with non-urgent issue (low water pressure, but we knew it wasn't a leak/was likely pressure regulator), and they fit us in the next day. I explained a bit of calendar complications (2 working at home), and they made us first appt of the day to simplify. Very friendly, polite, knowledgeable and personable. Did what they needed to do, with occasional calls into the house as needed for updates/have us turn on faucets/etc. Strongly recommend Black Mtn Plumbing for professional approach.

John was so professional. He approached it methodically and fairly and went the extra mile to find old 1980 Delta faucet parts. He explained everything so logically that if I had to break the bank, I could justify why there would be a bigger expense. He and my dog also became friends. I would invite him to our next Christmas Party, but more importantly he is my plumber for life. He prepared me for the worst and God-behold he came through in fixing it at a fraction of the cost. We called Black Mountain Plumbing at 8am because we had a pin leak in an indoor pipe, between two walls. By 10:40 am, Daniel came out and fixed the leak within 30 minutes. He did a really professional job and did it quickly. His experience really showed and we will request him the next time we need any plumbing service. Thanks Daniel!

I called Black Mountain plumbing at 9 am after our kitchen sink drain started leaking and Dylan was at our house about 4 hours later. He replaced our leaking disposal along with the rest of the drain pipes under the sink. When doing a leak test, he identified an additional pipe that had cracked and replaced it as well. I’m happy with the work he did and the responsiveness of BlackMountain Plumbing.

Black Mountain has been our go-to plumber for many years, for small jobs (shower valves) to HUGE (cracked mainline under our driveway slab). The work is always done on-time and with high quality.

We paid for an estimate ($49) with Black Mountain Plumbing to install a soft water system, a water heater and other plumbing work in our garage. They came recommended through the company that we purchased our soft water system through. The plumber that arrived at our home was insistent on selling us his products, rather than installing the system we had. Our estimate confirmed this, as he wanted to charge us $2,000 more to install our already purchased system, rather than purchasing his system. We were given no reason that his system was better. Our estimate was added incorrectly as well, with an almost $4,000 error. I can't speak for their work, but they did not make a good impression through their estimate process and we will not be using them.

I have a clogged pipe that is affecting a toilet and shower. The plumber charged $297 to camera the clean out pipe outside, which was clear. He wanted to charge an additional $400 to remove the toilet and another $150 to snake the drain. I declined because of the cost. So he left and I still have a clogged shower/toilet.

Water Supply line to the house. The work was done thoroughly and competent. It was a little pricey, since I did all the digging and prep work but they had me but the ....... Would use them again if I have time to price compare and if similar in cost with other plumbing companies.

Carlos of Black Mountain Plumbing came to my house to fix a leak in my water heater's intake line. He did an excellent job of making the repair. He used high quality parts, worked efficiently to get it done in less than an hour, tidied up the jobsite and checked that my hot water was working properly when he was finished. All for a reasonable price. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Had two jobs, 1) install a automated water shut off valve that I sourced and they installed. And 2) dig out and replace the pressure valve on my irrigation line. Took about 3 hours to get both jobs done from start to finish, but they took care to keep a clean work space during and clean up after. Made sure to test it all for me and even gave me a certificate for my auto water shutoff to given to my insurance company for a discount. The team at Black Mountain is very professional and I enjoy parting with my hard earned cash when they do the great work they provide in the manner they do.

Dylan (I think that’s his name) was professional and quick. Only issue was the welder was loud so a heads up would have been helpful. Other than that it was great. Thanks!

I was recommended Black Mountain Plumbing by one of their long time customers. I initially thought my faucets were broken, but Daniel walked me through all of my sinks/toilets/water lines and he taught me what might have caused the issue I was seeing and we itemized what needed to be fixed and what would need to be addressed later. Daniel was super helpful in teaching me about the aging-out fixtures, what to look for and all that, which I really appreciate. I would do business with them again![edit 11/27/22] - Came home to a nightmare - a leak in the wall. BMP came out for an emergency visit and Dayne quickly identified the cause and fixed the leak. These guys are amazing! On time, reasonably priced, and totally effective! I had called Roto Rooter ASI (never again) and they were 7 hours late! So I got on Black Mountain’s wait list and they called me shortly thereafter and Carlos was at my house working within 1/2 hour! What lifesavers!

This required locating where the pipe was leaking, how & where to cut & cap that pipe & then re-route a new pipe from the water heater in the garage though walls & cabinets. Came to install a part of a faucet. Discovered within a few minutes of arriving that the part was incorrect. Could have just charged me their advertised $49 fee, but instead charged me the full $249 fee for installation of the part.

I have used Black Mountain Plumbing several times in the past and have had good results. The plumbers have been professional, courteous and genuinely interested in delivering value. In one case they even helped me solve my problem over the phone. Pretty impressive.This time I had a specific problem that needed fixing and I took advantage of a special promotion they were having for a while house inspection. The problem was fixed well and they came up with a list of recommendations. Later, after a bit of a lag they sent a follow-up with a cost attached.I appreciated the line by line quote. I have felt, though, that the pricing seemed high. It had a different vibe than the cost conscious approach I had receive from other plumbers from Black Mtn.

Needed service, they came out the following day and successfully completed everything we needed and the repair man was courteous and knowledgeable. Would definitely use again.

On a faithful Saturday morning my quarter turn toilet shut off valve handle broke sprayed water . I live in I condominium building so shutting off the water to fix it impacts 7 other units. Solomon came very professional nice guy and did awesome work new valve looks great. Thank you for being available on the weekend.

Interactions with the plumber (Daniel) were moderately uncomfortable, primarily, it appears, because he was asked to put on a mask (immunocompromised customer). That's just unprofessional, it seems to us. The plumbing results were fine, but it was not a pleasant experience.

I shop around dozen of plumbing company before calling them, It was weekend when I saw water is dripping from ceiling. It was weekend so call went to company who handle customer request , she told me that on-call plumber will call me and explain all charges. Got a call from plumber and he told me $199 and anything repair will be extra. I have to pay for material and fix ceiling if he need to open that I agree upon. I did ask twice is there any charge except the one we discussed, He said no. When he came to home and then he said now I'm here now additional $183.5 for leak detection, I said what ? I asked you twice Will there any extra charge beside repair and you said no. He said no repair doesn't include leak detection. He should have very clearly communicated about leak detection is not included. Not gone use them in feature or will recommending to friend or family. There are so many other plumbing company which are very good in communicating and doing good job.

This was my first time using Black Mountain Plumbing and I was very impressed with the knowledge and advice from Solomon who visited our home. This plumber came highly recommended from another plumbing company who was too busy to attend to my issue. The visit turned out to be just a trip charge but I’m having them back to do a garbage disposal replacement next week.

Black Mountain was fast, courteous and timely. We experienced a hot water slab leak that in the past, has caused a lot of damage. I called them and they arrived the same day for assessment. They were able to shut off the hot water, schedule the leak detection, and install a point of use hot water tank to supply hot water to my kitchen and bar areas. They were able to obtain the parts, and fabricated a custom pan in a day, and get us operational again quickly. Scott did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend Black Mountain plumbing.

We have used Black Mountain for several years. They are very professional in terms of scheduling, consistency, quality and sending out plumbers who know the work involved. Solomon is our go-to plumber for anything involved with tankless hot water heater issues. He’s excellent at troubleshooting, flexible, and knows when to suggest that an old water heater isn’t worth fixing. We have purchased tankless water heaters on Amazon and had Solomon do the installation. No one at Black Mountain ever pushes us to buy something we don’t need just to increase their profit margin. They are reasonable in pricing and unlike most plumbers, we never feel taken advantage of.

I had them come out at 11pm the night before Thanksgiving due to my own questionable decision to try to repair a toilet stop valve which resulted in a flooded bathroom and house water turned off. Anyway long story shirt, Dylan, the on call who came out was super professional and fixed it all up quickly. Emergency service was steep but worth it, especially o get it if the dog house with my wife. ?Workmanship seemed really good and he was patient with my extra request despite being so late. I highly recommend them.

We use Black Mountain Plumbing whenever we need work done on our rental house and have always been very satisfied with the work they do.

I called BMP to address my concern for potential water leakage inside drywalls where the pipeline is running from pressure release button of the water heater to outside. It turned out I did not need to repair or fix anything because they determined it is not leaking. It was a big relief for me since I did not have to tear down the dry wall and so on.I liked the fact that they did not tell me to open up the dry walls to see the inside. This means in the future I can spend the minimum amount to evaluate similar situation without worrying about over spending on something you are not sure about.

After prior company clearing drain, had expensive sewer repair quoted. On friend recommending Black Mountain, Solomon explained their camera inspection for 230 would likely cover inspecting from all the cleanouts, in 1-hour labor, instead of the trip fee. Camera established the nominal condition everywhere except for the problem area root ingress only 2-3 feet below surface, not 5 feet as previously quoted by other company. This will cut my repair cost in half, save thousands of dollars! Thanks, Solomon!

I had an issue with my home water filtration system. Robert from Black Mountain Plumbing was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. Very good experience, will definitely call them again for any future plumbing issues

John was very professional and prompt. He came with all the tools necessary to fix my low pressure kitchen faucet problem. Diagnostic was fast, efficient, and he explained everything in laymen terms for me so I felt at ease knowing he'd fix the problem. The repair was well done and high quality of work. On top of this, John is very friendly and made the experience very pleasant.

Scott came out for a quote on installing a new gas line. Once I have determined that I don't have lead paint on my or asbestos in my dry wall and I will hire him to come install my gas line. He was my third quote and by far the most reasonable. I am confident that I will be happy with the results when all is said and done. UPDATE: The work they did was great. They came in set up, did the work, cleaned up and adjusted my bill on the spot to include removing my old appliance. They were friendly and answered all my questions with confidence and never seemed bothered by me checking in throughout the time they were here to see the progress. I will be using this company for any future plumbing issues in the future. I would recommend this company to anyone who asks.

Repair was not completed because there was a lack of communication on the price of the drain clean. Upon booking the appointment, I was not told by the staff that the snake they use is $100 extra plus the time, plus the fee. This made the repair twice the going rate of any other local company. They also did not explain that the coupon I had was not eligible for this service. The plumber also mentioned replacing a T fitting but I am wondering why this wasn't mentioned when I used Black Mountain last year for a similar job. I do appreciate the office willing to refund me the $49 visit to come out. Glad to see they want to retain customers even when communication is lost in translation.

Black Mountain Plumbing responded in a timely manner to repair two toilets that were running. We were kept updated regarding arrival time, which was within the 4 hour window originally given. Daniel was very polite and professional, explaining each thing he was doing to properly diagnose the issues with both toilets. He explained the necessity of replacing the fill valves, and the cost. He also checked and resealed one of the toilets at no extra charge, and provided an online discount for the service which we were unaware of. He left our home neat and clean, with two working toilets. We're very thankful to have found someone who does their work with such integrity (Colossians 3:17).

Good service but outrageous markup on parts. And very pricey. I needed a new pre filter for my whole house water filter. Very easy to install less than 5 min. so I ask the price breakdown. Filter $100 labor $200.I said time next material ? They said that’s the price.So I said, can I buy the filter from you? Sure $185.Wow 85% markup!!!Great work but expensiveBruce

After clearing a clog, they gave an estimate for replacing 2 toilets, but they doubled the estimate on the invoice to $3,977.26. My mother claims she used Black Mountain plumbing in the past and they managed to rip her off, so I am assuming this is not a mistake. I will not be using them again.

I have a Taco D’mand Thermo-regulator system that has become a major issue. Black Mountain Plumbing, and specifically Robert, is helping us to solve this problem. Dylan from Black Mountain Plumbing came on time and installed a new water heater he was assisted by Carlos Black Mountain Plumbing. They were very polite and looked and gave me suggestions of my options before performing any work and gave me a very detailed estimate which actually ended up being slightly higher than final cost so I had the repairs done for less than what they originally quoted.

We called Black Mountain after spending two weeks without a stove after a gas leak because the initial plumbing company we were referred to had still yet to send someone to do the work we needed despite confirming scheduling on three separate occasions. Black Mountain Plumbing was a breath of fresh air with their exceptional customer service and expertise. It definitely wasn't cheap, but it was well worth the price for the quality of workmanship knowing the job was done right. They moved a gas line, installed a new range and the water line to the fridge with copper piping. We are very pleased with their work and are confident with it's safety, and will most definitely be calling them again.

Solomon and Brianna are so professional. We had a continuous water leak in our master bath tub. We had called two other plumbers to fix it. They both said you need to cut a hole in the side of your bathtub or do an entire remodel. I sent pictures to Solomon. I believe Dane was the representatives' name. It was a middle-of-the-night call. He arrived promptly after our conversation with him on the phone. He immediately detected the cause of the problem. He explained further steps to be taken. We asked him to do one of the steps on the spot. The rest depended on our obtaining a replacement faucet. He gave us a quote and did the repair. While he was doing the repair he noticed that our water pressure was way too high which probably caused the problem in the first place. He said the water pressure gauge (not sure of technical name) should be replaced. Given our perceived urgency of this issue, we asked if he could replace it at that time. It was now almost midnight. We wanted him to do so as we felt that the danger of more flooding was imminent. He gave us the additional quote and did the work. Dane was very professional both in his knowledge and his behavior. Black Mountain has completed several jobs for me, but this is the first time I had a semi-emergency with a leak, and they responded very quickly. Solomon quickly diagnosed the problem and submitted an order for parts and helped me manage the situation until he could return for the repair. Start to finish Black Mountain Plumbing did an excellent job. We needed some plumbing moved for a bathroom remodel. They were able to set up an estimate quickly and knew exactly what the job would entail during the estimate. I received a text message saying who was assigned to the job and time frame of when he would be there. I then received a phone call when he was on his way. Followed by a text to confirm. Dayne was the plumbers name. He was very professional and wore a COVID mask and kept his distance. I had a copper pipe that had been leaking in my garage for a couple days. We called Black Mountain to replace our leaking water heater. They gave us a clear and competitive quote over the phone (a couple of the other places we checked with refused to give any information without sending out a technician, even though we could give all the necessary info over the phone). We made an appointment for a time window just a couple hours later, and they kept us updated when they were able to come earlier than originally promised. They did a great job with the replacement, and were able to come in under quote as our earthquake straps and some of the connective plumbing were reusable. We'll definitely be calling them next time we need a plumber for anything!

First hired Black Mountain Plumbing about 5 years ago for a leak. Things went so well and so satisfied with their work and how they treaded us, they have become our first choice in contractors for any plumbing needs.Over they years this has included installing a tankless water heater, rough plumbing in my garage for a laundry sink, reconfiguration. Fixing a few different leaks and installing an irrigation cutoff valve.Prices are always competitive and have never had any issue with the workmanship or presser to have other things done.

We have normally used Black Mountain Plumbing. Scheduling was easy and they were accommodating on the scheduling we wanted. The reason for the poor rating is the professionalism shown by the serviceman Daniel.He was rude and did not want to answer the questions we asked. It seemed he took offense at the questions and seemed to be doing us a favor by doing the job his company was paid for. No way I am going to have this guy in my house again!!! He should be fired.

Black Mountain Plumbing was easy to book and the plumber turned up about an hour into the 4 hour window. He did a good job in a timely manner. I am satisfied with the job, HOWEVER, then there was the price. When Bill booked the job I was happy with the approximate $100 window for cost. However, when the plumber turned up and looked, then heard the owner of the house was paying for the job, I could tell that he was going to take advantage of that fact. I am not naive and have been down this road before. The plumber John knew that I needed the job done, the leaking fixed, and proceeded to raise the cost about $200 more than it should have been! A very unprofessional act, and the only reason that I didn't rate 1 star was the work is good, and was done in about an hour. I am NEVER going to use this place again and will tell everyone I know not to. It is not good that Black Mountain Plumbing has someone on staff that would take advantage of the situation, and do such a dishonest thing.

We had been getting increasingly poor water pressure in our front bathroom. BMP came in and it was like Niagara Falls again in under and hour. Great service!

Daniel replaced kitchen faucet and corrected previous installation mistakes by another company. He also advised me on a couple of other faucet/pipe issues; what could wait and what steps needed to be taken sooner than later. I appreciated his honesty and feel comfortable with my informed decision.

I was recommended by a co-worker for Black Mountain Plumbing and both times they have come out the work was great! The first time was for my water heater and even the inspector that came said it was a great job done. The second time was for my toilet which he recommended replacing because I changed all the parts and it still leaked. The toilet works great!

A coupling on the water line outside my house broke. I did the digging to expose the problem to save some money and so the plumber would have an easy job of it. After calling for service, it was only 30 minutes before Black Mountain Plumbing had someone on the job.. He gave a fair estimate and had the work done in less than 90 minutes. I had a previous plumbing company tell me our kitchen sink needed hundreds of dollars of repairs which sounded suspicious. Found them while parking at Petco and thought I would give them a try! I had Black Mountain Plumbing come to my home to fix a plumbing issue about 15 or so years ago and had a very positive impression of them that persisted to today, when my shower fixture failed. The first thing I did was shut off the house water supply, then I called Black Mountain Plumbing. Kathy handled my call and was able to get somebody to my house very quickly and efficiently . The plumber who responded was Solomon, who proved to be as courteous and professional as he was personable. He worked swiftly, yet took the time to respond to my comments and questions about the plumbing problem and the repair necessary to get my shower functional again. Once repairs were complete, Solomon conducted a mini-inspection of some typical trouble areas for household plumbing: checking water pressure, the garbage disposal and the hot water heater. He shared a number of observations with me and answered any and all of my questions. I very much appreciate the excellent service provided by both Kathy over the phone and by Solomon performing the repairs. I suppose now I know why they were the first and only plumbing repair company I called today... after all these years.

The service provided by this company was very professional. They were flexible in rescheduling the day before our original appointment. We had had a dishwasher installer person and another plumber and neither one could get the new dishwasher working properly. My husband and I are 65 and 66 and we have lived in multiple houses in our 40 years of marriage. During that time we have dealt with multiple home repair companies. Black Mountain Plumbing is one of the three companies that we have used that checks all the boxes for perfection. We used Black Mountain plumbing for the first time recently after reading a number of stellar reviews on Angie's List and other sites. We found their staff professional and knowledgeable, and they provided quality technical work from what I can tell. However, I was disappointed by a few aspects of their work. At one point when clearing our main sewer line and resetting our toilets one plumber poured the toilet water into the still backed up drain (either the sink or the shower). I was never told this, but I overheard the other plumber ask about where the toilet water went and disapprove of pouring it down the drain. I am not as upset about the mistake by what was presumably a less experienced staff member, but in my view there is no excuse for not telling me directly (had I not overheard would I have cleaned the sink and shower the same way?). I also felt Black Mountain was focused on up-selling as much as possible. They made a big deal out of a supposed sewage leak in the crawl space under the house as a result of the sewer backup, providing the name of a sanitizing company and a quote to fix a variety of things after the area was cleaned of all that sewage down there. We had the recommended sanitizing company out (Gold Coast -- they were great), and they assured me the area showed no sign of a sewage leak (or any other leak) and did not recommend cleaning the area further. I can accept that different plumbers may feel differently about the need to fix a certain item, but I cannot help feel I was mislead in terms of the allegedly dire nature of our plumbing problems (the quote provided exceeded $25K). I am happy others have had good experiences with Black Mountain. Based on ours we cannot recommend them.

Daniel was very courteous and knowledgeable. He installed my new faucet and made sure the area was clean when he was finished. Daniel also fixed a couple of dripping faucets and answered questions I had pertaining to my hot water issues. He made some suggestions, but wasn't pushy. I was very satisfied with the services provided.

The two man team was on time and professional. They completed only the work needed, and did not try to up-sell or manipulate us into spending more than required for the job. They completed the work fast and efficiently. The paperless system is great. They also gave me a courtesy call prior to arriving. They used some of the parts I provided, which saved me a lot of money on the repair.

The service was fine, but they ended up saying they *needed* to check my water heater and under my kitchen sink, despite me only having a shower drain issue. This in itself was mildly annoying since this COVID and I don't really need people touching things or going in rooms other than the one I called about). it ended up just being a strategy so they can inform you about other problems you can pay them to fix.But the worst part (and the reason this is a 3-star review and not higher), is that they slapped stickers on my garbage disposal and my water heater. The stickers weren't the typical date inspected stickers, but advertising stickers saying they'll buy my (brand new) garbage disposal for $15! Not only that, but I can't take the stickers off, because they used those cheap paper ones that shred apart!

Left a message at 7:30am and got a return call when the office opened at 8. Travis came out on time, answered our questions, offered an alternative that saved us money, and made a great impression. Helpful and quick. Also fixed our high pressure issues, which is important.Great experience again... this is our fourth Black Mountain call, and all visits and fixes have been excellent!

Larry from Black Mtn Plumbing changed out a water main valve located in my garage. I knew he was in for challenge because there was hardly any copper pipe left to install a replacement valve. He made a few adjustments by re-configuring the direction of the copper pipe and he was able to install the replacement valve with ease. I was very pleased with Larry's work. He was efficient and took the necessary time to do the job right and that what counts. In addition's to Larry's quality work, he has very good customer service, friendly and honest.If anyone needs plumbing work, I highly recommend Black Mountain Plumbing. They're accommodating and have demonstrated quality work each time they've done work for me. Their price points are one of the best in San Diego.

Solonon and Dylan cleared a particularly difficult drain. Both were courteous and professional. We have been using Black Mountain plumbing for years and have found them to be the most competent and they give us an upfront estimate of the cost, which has always been accurate.They then reviewed the other potential issues in the house plumbing and gave both an explanation of the potential issues and followed up with an estimate. This was helpful because I have not looked at these potential issues and I found this free inspection to be very helpful to avoid potential long term issues.

We had a commercial water heater installed in our Cafe and Robert and his staff made this an easy process from the quote through the installation!!! John was excellent on site with the installation and when an adjustment was needed to meet electrical needs Robert came out the next day and took care of everything quickly. Everything is working perfectly and I know I will be call Robert for any plumbing needs in the future!!

I've used Black Mountain Plumbing a few times, most recently for a leak in a pipe in the crawlspace. I'm always happy with their work and honesty. The leak was repaired quickly by Adam. Solomon completely rebuilt my utility sink, which was necessary due to the age of the home (no replacements would fit). I trust BMP for all of my plumbing needs.

They had the chance to cheat me by telling me my waste receptacle in the bathtub needed changing but didn't do that. Instead they told me I simply needed a better quality plug. It turns out that the lazy plumber that installed it also put in cheap equipment that I didn't know enough to catch. These people were honest, on time and polite and informative. I'd recommend them again!

Called BMP about a water leak at the regulator. Daniel was able to go to our home after he just completed a job. He checked the leak and gave a solution and an estimate right away. He completed the replacement quickly and checked for additional leak. Daniel was very professional and courteous. We had used BMP a couple years ago and was pleased with their work so we called them again for this plumbing issue. We recommend BMP.

I would recommend Black Mountain Plumbing to anyone needing a plumber. I have had John come out to my house and fix various plumbing problems. He takes the time to make sure there are not any other additional issues and if he finds some, he has a solution and explains everything perfectly. This week he came out to fix a drip from the tub faucet. He tried several things to solve the problem and determined that the problem was something behind the wall. So we looked on his phone to order another faucet and he took the time to go through several different ones and gave me the pro's and con's of each one. He then took the time to do further research and he found a faucet that I liked and then went even further to find where he could get one quickly. He also did a trick with a piece of string on the continual drip so even though it will continue to drip until he is able to install the new faucet, we won't be kept awake by the drip. This is the only plumbing company I will use

Solomon, the plumber arrived within 20 minutes of my speaking to him by phone. He was knowledgeable and competent with regard to removing and trying to diagnose my bathtub fixture problem. The hot water knob would not turn off due to an internal problem. He was able to turn off the water to the fixture. He will order a new part and return next week. Solomon appeared competent and he was personable.

Daniel's really awesome. I have a Scripps Ranch condo built in 1985, and a lot of the major appliances have reached the end of their service lives in the past 15 years: water heater, dishwasher, garbage disposal, shower/kitchen/bathroom plumbing, washer and dryer. I've stuck with Daniel and Black Mountain plumbing because they offer reasonable rates and a good diagnostic as to why repairs or upgrades are needed. For example, my shower (which they're repairs two years before) was leaking, so I called them in and they found chunk of plastic in the valves, which led them to the water heater. The water heater was over thirty years old and I'd been planning on replacing it for several years, but they'd told me to hold off until something actually went wrong with it. We're both teachers on a limited budget, but this was the time. The appointment took just about 3 1/2 hours, but the workmanship is top-notch and I can sleep well at night knowing if there's a major problem, Black Mountain Plumbing and Daniel will be there

Daniel and Adam came out to replace my kitchen faucet and I was so impressed with their knowledge of the systems I had them change out all my angle stops. I am very happy now and feel at ease with my plumbing. Before I was afraid of touching anything under the sink... I even received a Vietnam War vet incentive! I had to call Travis from Black Mountain because I had a leak from the hot water heater on a Saturday morning. He came as soon as he could and he helped to shut off the water and the gas to the tank. He had recommended a new tank but because of the weekend rate I declined. About half an hour later, I found there was still a slow leak from the HW heater, so I had to call him back. He was very understanding and agreed to return to fix the problem without charge. I was very impressed with his willingness to fix the problem to my satisfaction.

Called Black Mountain Plumbing to request John to come to our home in Del Sur and install 2 rain showers. They were able to send John out the next day and he problem solved our situation and quickly installed the hardware necessary. This company is our plumbers of choice as over the years we have consistently received excellent service, above & beyond our expectations. I can't recommend Black Mountain plumbing any higher than excellent in follow through, showing up as promised, professionalism, BEST customer service, follow through and in-depth knowledge to solve a VERY DIFFICULT problem we had. Head and shoulders above all the other plumbers we called in SD county (yes, we called just about all of them). Robert was the absolute best and didn't run away from our 'issue' but thought out of the box to resolve our tough problem.

I highly recommend Black Mountain Plumbing, as they are honest and very knowledgeable and skilled. The sink in our spare bathroom had a leak and we called Black Mountain Plumbing to come out and assess and fix the situation. I was at work and my parents were in town staying at our house and were the ones one dealt primarily with the plumber who came out. I was so fortunate to work with Black Mountain plumbing for my gas leak. SDG&E discovered a leak and shut down my gas. Kathy in the office, was so helpful in getting me scheduled and getting me organized so we can solve this nightmare. Scott and Joel are total experts in this field. These two in conjunction with CPL, helped me resolve this problem quickly. With the findings, Black Mountain plumbing was able to fix my leak and help me pass my inspection. They were extremely professional punctual and thorough. There is no way that I can ever call another plumbing company after working with these guys.

I was initially scheduled to have both a high pressure regulator installed at the water meter and a 4 gallon expansion tank installed at the hot water heater. Cost was itemized at $679.13 for the pressure regulator at the street and $313.50 for the expansion tank. When they arrived it became obvious that the street pressure was never higher that the new pressure regulator's set point so the part was not needed. When the technician checked with his boss Scott Ferrell, they increase the cost to install only the expansion tank by $200. I would understand this if they had submitted an invoice with three items, cost of pressure valve, cost of expansion tank and cost of trip or profit or whatever, but this was not done professionally. This was part of a negotiated installation for several homes in our subdivision, where the homes lower in altitude than mine actually needed the high pressure regulator but it was not needed in my case.The work was done very well and I would give 5 stars to the technical performance.

I called Black Mountain Plumbing because I had two toilets that needed to be re-sealed. I was able to get an appointment within a couple of days. Daniel K. our plumber came when expected and on time. As it trned out there was an unexcpected problem with one of the toilets, but Daniel explained the issue completly, what needed to be done & what the additional fees would be. Today, Daniel came back early to finish the job. Daniel is polite, professional, clean and very responsible. It was a pleasure to have him fix my plumbing problem(s). We have used Black Mountain Plumbing for 3 years and every time has been positive and 5 -stars.This time around they did a water heater replacement.Service and customer service is excellent and they did things quickly.The reason I give 3 stars is two-fold: 1) the quote for a new water heater did not break out the cost of the unit vs. the labor, and 2) the warranty is 6 years. Unfortunately for me, I did not compare prices of water heaters and warranties before the final decision. There are warranties for 10 years and water heaters that cost less. I probably would have gone with a different water heater.

Daniel provided us with service today that went well above standard service.We needed to replace hot & cold autowasher bibbs. The old ball valves were frozen in place and couldn't be budged. Daniel eventually got them off. His can-do attitude was great. I first had David come out to provide a quote for repairs of 3 toilets. He was very informative, letting me know my options from a minimal repair up to replacing the fixtures. Showed true concern for the low standard of water lines and stops that could cause leak issues in the future. Larry and Daniel came out a few days later to replace 2 toilets and rebuild a third. Super easy to schedule, they were on time, polite and extremely efficient. Cared about the smallest details, like hardware color. Pricing was fair, but the service was exceptional!

We had a toilet leaking from the tank into the bowl. The tank was refilling a small amount of water every hour.Black Mountain is the most professional plumbing company I have hired. Zion came to my mother's home to address an issue with a toilet. He was professional, had common sense, and had attention to detail. She hired three other plumbing companies in the past few years to attempt to fix the issue The flapper which was replaced each time. None of the other plumbers had the knowledge to also replace the small rubber tube that goes to the overflow tube.Reasonable rates. They service North County.

Needed asap- pressure regular to house failed so was not regulating pressure- was at 120 psi - what is fed from the street! They came out asap, replaced the regulator and nearby pipe connectors to prevent damage to our plumbing. Back to safe 55 psi.Black Mountain is not the least expensive plumbers, but you get what you pay for. Do yourself a favor- call them, they are the best.

BMP's response was quick and provided me with a precise estimate based on the pictures and the job description I had emailed them.There was some error in scheduling so I had to make it one more time and the plumber was late by 40 minutes. Was quoted a price on the phone along with potential extras depending on my setup. I didn’t feel pressured into making a decision on the spot. I think price of add ons was a little excessive relative to the material cost. I would have hoped they’d provide discount or package rate for the extras. It seems like industry standard and I’ll consider it their tip, along with a positive review. I recommend them and will use them again.

I had worked with a different plumbing company and the job went from a $475.00 job for jetting to a $3,125 job, where my home foundation was jackhammered up. I actually understood the reasoning for that, but when it went to a $14,000 job it really was upsetting! I called Black Mountain for a second opinion, and ended up paying $460.00 to have the cut sewer line camera-ed and then repaired. What a great Service Pro. Daniel is. He got out to my house asked me questions about what was going on with my plumbing. He checked out the front drain outside and said after I told him that the toilet in my front bathroom was leaking he said it was the wax seal that wasn't sealing properly. He had to snake out the line after he took off the toilet. He found roots in the line but kept sending the cable through and eventually got it cleaned out. He gave me an estimate for sending a camera down the line to see how extensive the root system is in the inside pipes. Daniel was very polite and answered my questions and told me exactly what he was doing. Really great service from Daniel.

I had no water in bathroom sink.Regular plumber on vacation. They came but would not give me a quote until arriving. I have a small condo with small bathroom. I purchased replacement faucet parts already. Two guys and $600 later. Yes it was fixed but I will not call them again. Way overpriced. I think I was actually paying for the second guy to be in training. I could see paying 300 but not 600.?

Called Black Mountain Plumbing at 2:20 pm, and less than 30 minutes later Adam knocked on the door. Within 30 more minutes he pinpointed the source of leak. 2 hours later leak was fixed. Adam cleaned up the area spotless. He recommended other services that I will need to contact to rectify the damage caused by leak.

I had an emergency water leak just when I was having my carpets cleaned! I couldn't turn off the water to the house because it was needed for my carpets. The leak was so heavy that I had to empty a large bucket hourly. I called Black Mountain Plumbing and they dispatched Solomon within 2 hours. When Solomon arrived, the carpets were still being cleaned and I explained that to do his repairs he would have to navigate through all the hoses and wet carpet while wearing booties!!!! Solomon was extremely personable, accommodating and gracious, especially in view of the complicated situation. He completed the necessary repairs very professionally and efficiently plus he checked my home water pressure and offered some welcome advice free of charge. Solomon couldn't have been nicer or performed his work more professionally. He is a true gem!

I have used Black Mountain Plumbing for many years and was always satisfied with their service. However I am not happy with the structuring of their pricing. It used to be that once you had a a plumber in the house you had to pay a minimum and then what the job would cost to fix it. So if you added another faucet to repair it wouldn't be the minimum plus cost anymore just the cost. Well, I was surprised to learn that the clogged faucet I had and another faucet I wanted to add were exactly the same price. So there is no benefit in bundling jobs together anymore. I can just as well make individual service calls which doesn't make sense to me nor benefits the environment.

The folks from Black Mountain have done a number of plumbing jobs for me and my mother, and I've always found them to be very knowledgeable, professional and honest. Even when there is a hiccup in the outcome, they follow-up appropriately and to this customer's satisfaction. On the most recent job - a rebuild of bath tub faucet handles and shower diverter and the installation of new hardware - I didn't really look at the finished job carefully until after the technician left. Call me obsessive compulsive, but the handles did not line up; one sat at 90 degrees, another at about 50 degrees. I called the tech back and he suggested it was an easy fix and described how I could unscrew the handle and realign them. Well, after paying over $300 for the work, I didn't feel this was the best response. He also said I could call the office to schedule a follow-up trip. I did so, and he was back the next day - just as nice and soft-spoken and focused on the job as he had been the day before. He aligned the handles and explained that in the beginning the rubber piece around the fitting was a compression system (showing my plumbing ignorance here; not the correct words, I'm sure) and that they would be tight at first and would eventually become less so. But he made the adjustment needed and for that I am very appreciative.

We had a main line blockage which resulted in all water connections pouring out of our back yard clean out pipe. Basically we fertilizing our yard instead of the sewer. Based on a recomendation we called Black Mountain Plumbing for assistance. From the person answering the call to the technician who was assigned / responded to our call; was nothing but pure professional; polite; responsible; friendly; conduct. They answered our questions regarding the problem; the solution; why they were doing what they were doing. I was truly impressed from beginning to end with their response / assistance. I have recommended them to my family and friends. A most excellent job by all those involved. Definitely be my go to plumbing solving company.

Recently moved into an older home and found the kitchen drain was cracked in half. Called BMP on a Saturday afternoon and within a few hours from the initial call, the plumber completely repiped under the kitchen sink. I had a showerhead problem and called it in. However, I forgot to mention that I also had a leaking faucet. The man (didn't get his name) fixed the showerhead problem, installed a new one and also looked at the faucet. He immediately told me the cost of the repair for the faucet and gave me sound advice. He was efficient and confident in what he was doing. Very positive experience.

Our water heater started leaking late Saturday evening. I called Black Mountain Plumbing Sunady around 7:30am. Salomon from Black Mountain Plumbing was at our house Sunday morning by 10am and by early afternoon, the water heater was replaced. Called these guys for a quote and they had a rate sheet ready to go which is what I like. I like flat rates to get the job done and not based on time-It's a value based fee. These guys were professional, thorough and clean in terms of not leaving us with a mess to clean up. We basically needed to get a flange replaced for the toilet, they secured the new flange and the toilet is now secured again. Their work comes with a limited warranty which is also nice to know up front.

tried to fix shower valves in my rental condo by myself late on a Saturday, failed miserably to the point where I could not turn the main water back on for my wonderful tenants (I felt TERRIBLE). Our newly installed kitchen had a sudden dishwasher over run leak. The previous contractor used an inexpensive pipe that bent causing the water to choke after only a month. Adam was thorough and knowledgeable, and respectful of my home. He assessed the problem I called about as well as noting another area not up to code. Only took 30 minutes and nominal charge. I'll be considering BMP for my bathroom upgrade this year!

Black Mountain Plumbing has been our plumber for 16 years. Yesterday, they re-installed a toilet (which had shifted, resulting in a leak through the wax seal) for us. Solomon (and his trainee, Casey) were pleasant, professional, and efficient.

this Company is great to work with. They responded on time, owned up to what they knew and what they did not and finished the task at hand professionally. I had to have my garbage disposal replaced and they were very professional in how they handled the situation. It had to have been fixed during the work day.

They did a good job, on time, with excelent communication via email, phone and text for appoitment planning and progress reports on arrival time. As, they said, not the lowest cost provider. I later learned that Lowes would have installed the new toilet at nearly half the cost but BMP also stuck to their estimated cost and did not nickel & dime for every extra part that was needed (hoses, valves, old toilet removal, etc.) The job was done quickly and cleanly. On a more complex job I will likely use them again.

I can't say enough good things about Larry and Daniel from Black Mountain Plumbing.My hot water heater leaked all over my garage and I called BMP...just picked them online as I have not needed a plumber in recent yearsThey came out the next day as this happened at 4 pm and were honest enough to inform me that if I could shut off the heater to stop the leakage it would save me a service fee of $250.00 for after hours. I am not so sure other companies would do that!!!They showed up the next day promptly and were courteous, informative and most of all honest with their assessment of the damage that was done by the water leakage.They gave me all of the options I had to deal with the damage and how to have hot water until it could be taken care of.They also recommended another company (Gold Coast) to take care of the water damageYou could tell that Larry has been doing his job for a long time as he was well informed and great at explaining how to work the new water heaterI will call this company again if I need a plumber and ask for the Larry and Daniel team..professionals and just nice people...Here's to a job well done!!!

I am impressed with their expertise and prompt service. I am renovating a condo and just moved to San Diego. My contractor would not install the Ikea sink I had already bought because it was a complicated European design with non standard parts. I had already assembled and attached the cabinet to the wall. It wasn't until I did that, that the contractor looked it over and said his guys would not be able to work on it. I panicked. I had spent over a month researching what I wanted and this Ikea vanity was it. The next morning, I found Black Mountain Plumbing online and viewed an information video on their website. I thought that if this company trains plumbers, they should be able to figure out the plumbing to my Ikea sink. I called them and was asked to email the owner photos of the existing plumbing, the unit, and parts. I did. They called back within an hour after reviewing the photos and said they could do it. An hour later, two of their plumbers showed up, and in less than an hour, the installation was successfully completed. I breathed a sigh of relief and was thrilled that I was able to keep my Ikea sink and cabinet as planned. From now on, this company will be my first plumbers to call, and I recommend it be the first plumbers to call to everyone in the area.

Well done but more expensive then expected. Same work done two years ago at different address was almost 20% less cost. 2018 was $316.90 and 2020 was $385. Refund of visit fee to be applied to work done not showing in Credit Card account the next day, perhaps refunds take longer to show up.

They provided exceptional service and were honest and caring as well. James, our plumber, did a wonderful job answering all of our questions and you could tell he cared about his workmanship. Had a leaking bathroom faucet with a sink designed in the '40's that has deeply recessed connections that I couldn't get with my big hands. While I thought the price was a little steep, the quality of work was very good. My wife thought he was courteous (I was at work).

I was very impressed with Robert Snyder with Black Mountain Plumbing. I have been trying to get my Grohe shower fixed for a year had my plumber who installed it to fix the problem could not get real hot water. A lot of plumbers install showers but can't repair him. I also live in a high-rise condo in Coronado part time so scheduling is a problem. I called black mountain plumbing talk to Robert took a picture of the fixture an he ordered the part set up an appointment. Black mountain plumbing sent me a email of schedule appointment and what they were going to do . I totally forgot to call him before I came out to Coronado to verify if they were still on for the appointment anyway Monday morning 730 he showed up at 7:29 fix the problem in less than an hour. Extremely disappointed in this company.I have used them regularly for all our plumbing needs, but will NEVER use them again. I needed to have a leaky wax seal around a toilet replaced. When the toilet was unseated you could see the sub flooring was damp. The plumber was going to reseat the toilet anyway. I asked him to stop, since flooring looked like it needed time to dry and then be evaluated. He stopped and charged me $188 to unseat toilet and $88 for a ($6 part)valve to water line.POOR JUDGEMENT, INFLATED PRICES AND NO RESPECT FOR A REPEAT CUSTOMER-NEVER AGAIN!!!

Daniel came over on time, replaced my crummy old sink water valves with heavy duty ones, replaced my leaky old kitchen sink faucet with a nice new one, and hauled the old junk away. Exactly what I needed!

Black Mountain staff in the office were efficient and effective. They connected me immediately with the technician on call and he answered all my questions about my watermain leak. A call back the next morning was all that was needed to schedule my appointment the next morning at 0730( what a surprise response!). Travis arrived on time and began assessment immediately with a diagnosis and estimate of the work. He worked diligently and hard to get through the MUCK that was around, through, and under my watermain boxes to unearth the problem. Travis certainly went above and beyond to get this job done! Five Starts for Travis and all the staff at Black Mountain Plumbing.

We had a plugged kitchen sink drain. Travis M came out basically a day later. The service call was prompt and he gave us a heads up when he was on his way. Once here Travis was professional, clean and an all around nice guy. He got his gear from the truck and went at the drain and worked on it till he remedied the problem. We tested it a couple times and concluded the problem was fixed and the drain cleared. On top of this the $182. out the door cost was something i could live with.

The single screw securing the overflow cover on our bathtub was corroded and the cover fell off. BM's plumber told my wife the entire assembly including the stem that the screw went into needed to be replaced. He said the screw hole threads were stripped and the hole could not be tapped. Assembly replacement would require cutting through the wall from the adjoining bedroom. Estimated cost $480, not including drywall repair. When I came home from work and checked it myself, it appeared that the stem threads were in tact. I talked to the plumber by phone; he insisted the threads were stripped and said he did not try to use a replacement screw. I bought a replacement stainless steel screw for $0.65. It screwed into the hole securely and tightly - no problem whatsoever.

I have used BMP previously and this time they installed a tub and re-piped the bathroom. The tub involved cutting the foundation to re position the drain. Tub looks great, they arrived as scheduled, work was done in a timely manner, price was reasonable, all is as it should have been.

We've used BMP twice now, and each time they have provided fast, efficient and cost-effective service. They show up on time and the office and field staff are both friendly and knowledgeable. We plan to use them for any future plumbing needs.

We discovered a drip from the ceiling in our garage from water supply pipes to our washer and kitchen area on a Sunday. A call to Black Mountain Plumbing helped us determine that we could reasonably wait until Monday to avoid paying the higher Sunday labor rates. Wow, that's integrity! They actually wound up correcting a deficiency that another company left when that company replumbed our townhouse from defective polybutylene plumbing to copper 20 yrs. ago. Called them over a week ago to repair/replace anchor bolts on two toilets, and they never called me back. While the person with the answering service was very nice and took down all of the pertinent information, I guess this company thinks that this kind of repair job is too small for them to respond.

Unfortunately Black Mt Plumbing didn't work for me. I hired them to do a camera snake through my plumbing. The workers requested a job description change that started with signing off on liability and then pulling a toilet to send the camera snake down the plumbing. The charge would be $368. or something like that plus the snake fee and extra for the photo record. I hired another plumber for $210 all included, no liability charge or photo record fee. The second plumber used a vent and didn't have to pull a toilet.

Plumber was extremely courteous, professional, patient and thorough. He was also very conscientious in his work and made sure everything worked properly before he left. I would use Blck Mountain again and again.

Had Black Mountain Plumbing come out to give a second opinion about a clogged drain in kitchen. First company I had out told me they could not get past clog 35feet into house and gave me a written quote for a $10,000 repair to reroute plumbing around the outside of my house which was built in 1963. John and Adam from BMP came the next day, snaked the line a full 80 feet and ran a camera thru line showing me as I watched with them that the line was clog free and in fact in good shape. The $10,000 repair quote was completely unnecessary. Thank you Black Mountain Plumbing!!! I will be using them exclusively in the future.

When i installed it, the stove wouldn't slide all the way back against the wall. Travis had to open up the wall around the gas line and reroute it around an electrical outlet, so the gas line was placed properly for the new stove. I found the office staff, the installer, and everyone else I talked to be polite and efficient. However I am disappointed in the product. All water heaters come with an efficiency rating. The one they installed is almost off the chart (yearly energy cost) as one of the most INEFFICIENT available. Live and learn.

First off I'll preface this post with telling you that I own a business.Called black mountain plumbing letting them know there was a leak underneath the sink at the water shutoff valve. They came and saw that it needed to be tightened and charged me 117.00!Don't tell me they had to come out there, they're time, and all of that other crap. They took 5 minutes, tightened the shut off valve, and done.Owning a reataurant, if I were to do something like that to one of my customers, I wouldn't be in business anymore. That....is robbery. Won't be doing business with them any more.

I had a TOTO toilet that was over filling and the fill valve was non-adjustable. So I bought the best one TOTO makes and put it in. Unfortunately the line from the wall stop valve leaked and I called for help by a plumber here. He put it in and it works well. However I thought I was charged too much for the work (I did most of the work).

Great service. Personnel was very well-informed and helpful. Most efficient and installed new garbage disposal, fixed leaking toilet and installed new toilet seat. Very satisfied and will utilize their services in the future.

Washing mach water valve replacement. Travis quickly assessed the problem and replaced both of the 30 year old water faucets. He reconnected the hoses and put everything back in place. TRAVIS MORGAN IS MY HERO! I had 3 leaks into my family room in the winter about 2 years ago. 2 of them, on the floor turned out to be from incorrectly installed pavers. BUT I kid you not, over that time I went through EIGHT plumbers/contractors/experts AND an AC guy, looking for the third one.I was out of patience and called Black Mountian Plumbing (I had used them a year ago for something else - Thanks Daniel). They seem a little expensive...but you might as well spend the money now and get it done right than spend a lot of money havig it done wrong - and then having BMP have to come out and fix it. It ends up cheaper, in the end to just call them first. Trust me.Travis Morgan was my Technician. He was kind, helpful and had the patience of a saint! Once agan the hunt was on for the mystery leak. I knew that at least it had something to do with the AC condensation runoff pipe. I turned on the AC so he could see it leaking - of course it didn't leak - for like 20 minutes. In the mean time Travis was searching inside, outside, upstairs and downstairs. And never once rolled his eyes at the crazy lady with the imaginary leak (at least not that I could see) :-)FINALLY the leaking starts. The drywall had already been removed from most of the wall except right near the ceiling covering an elbow joint. Of course that where the leak was hiding. Travis was like a bloodhound now. He took out the last peice of drywall (without making a mess I might add) And lo and behold....He said some one had actually DRILLED completely through the pipe. It was in such an odd spot we couldn't figure out how it could have been accidentlal - unless it was done while building the house -some 40 years ago. Don't tell Travis, but I almost wept with relief. After that it was just a matter of replacing that section of pipe - which wasn't easy due to it's location, but Travis did it. And I'm SO grateful!Do you think this review was too long....? Good. I wanted you to be able to feel just SOME of the (Let's get this done alredy) frustration I had been feeling, until Travis and BMP came to the rescue. THANK YOU!

I called for service because a recirculating pump was putting hot water in the cold line so that hot water was coming out the cold side. The guy poked around and talked for about 30 minutes with no resolution and he was scratching his head. He said, I like challenges. They make me think. So much if my job is routine but this is a riddle. A riddle that went unsolved and cost me $110. For nothing but a lot of wasted time.

We paid $230 for this company to bid a project.They couldn’t do the work they came out to bid (either fix option - line or replace the pipes) and they stayed for multiple hours to rack up the price anyway.They also put our home purchase contingency timelines in jeopardy by wasting our time with their sham bid work.

I was not happy that the plumber was not willing to cut into the ceiling to see where the leak was coming from. I will not recommend Black Mountain Plumbing to my friends and family.

Dear Black Mountain Plumbing managerWe called you to schedule Zion to hook up a newly delivered Kenmore washing machine - he hooked up the cold and hot water faucets but failed to put the water drain line into the drain and did not tell my daughter who then did a load of wash - all the water drained onto the floor and carpet and to the downstairs condo - this created a mess and an expense for repairing water damage to the downstairs condo - Zion was instructed by you not to move the washing machine into the closet but we had no idea he did not put the drain line into the drain - shame on your poor service.
