This is an amazing business. Called to get a car key made. Our one key came up lost. They were on time for the appointment, came right to our home. Made the key in a few minutes. Works fantastic. Highly recommend this company. Fair price.

From first call to final service, Alcatraz Locksmith was responsive, professional, incredibly competent, understanding and cheerful. They made sure I knew when they would arrive (same day service, call 30 minutes ahead when on their way) and they went above and beyond, not only fixing the lock I called about but identifying and repairing a second door lock that needed serious help. Super shout-out to repairman Craig Chase who was incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, humorous and helpful. These folks are terrific.

I had a great experience getting help fixing an issue that was preventing me from turning the key in my Volkswagen. Todd was very communicative and knowledgeable throughout from figuring out what was wrong to offering advice on finding the right part to the repair.

Listen up! My guy Larry pulled up and I could not be more ecstatic when he got me right with a new key and programmed it on spot and to get my car to start! My car went into anti theft deterrent mode yesterday morning at 4am and I could not start the car at all. This guy is a true master locksmith. We came to him with a key that was not only so worn down that it barley worked but was also broken in half. We thought it was a lost cause. He accepted the challenge and like a detective at a crime scene, forensically analyzed it and made a key for us. (The vehicle was no where near him). We took the key to the car and it worked PERFECTLY! We thought we were going to have to rekey the car but with his help we saved so much. Very helpful and knowledgeable about his craft. Todd is an amazing locksmith. I needed a key made for a work vehicle as it was left in Tucson and I had to drive the truck down. I called Todd late on a Saturday and made plans for Sunday. I did not know that this was his day off. He made accommodations for me anyway. He quickly unlocked the door and and went through the process of cutting me an Ignition key. At this point we had to go through the painstaking process Of deleting all the old keys from the log and adding the new chipped key. Even cut me a hide a key just in case the keys ever got locked in the truck. I just purchased a car for my son and needed another key. I was able to obtain a generic FOB. I called several locksmiths in the area that had good reviews. Most wanted over $200 to cut and program the FOB and nevermind what the dealerships want. I found Alcatraz Locksmith on Yelp and reached out to the owner Todd. Well, in a nutshell, Todd was awesome and had a flat fee of $40 for cutting the key and $50 for standard programming, if you can meet at his place of business. I highly recommend Todd for all your locksmith needs.

This used vnnjñ gotten too big and too busy to do their job shoveling his work off to other locksmiths that don't have a clue what they're doing. It's a shame that I had to post a review to find out if I can get them to actually help me like I said Todd used to be a good locksmith one of the best but now he's just outgrown he's capability to do his job and he passes it off to other people who do not know what they are also he can make a couple extra bucks

Highly highly recommend! He was incredibly kind and programmed 2 new keys for our Land Rover today. He made sure everything was done and in perfect working order before we drove away. Todd is a great #locksmith. He was able to help me out with my commercial customer. The ATM lock and door was damaged. Todd repaired the lock and strike then installed a latch protector to further discourage would-be vandals.

I called Todd needing a key made for a car that was going to my nephew. I had made a few calls to a couple other auto locksmith companies and ironically, two of them referred me to Todd. I had not seen the car before and was told it was a 1989, which later I found out in person it was actually a 1998 on the title. Despite Todd's work truck being in the shop for repairs, he still came out at the appt time on time. When he got to the house with the car, it turns out there actually was a key for it but was not programmed. Todd was honest about the key when I didn't know there was one and only charged me for reprogramming. Thanks for being a stand up guy. Great service, on time, and really nice and honest guy!

He was able to save me some money on my car replacement fob programming & key cutting compared to dealership or places like Batteries + Bulbs, and was really personable and fun to chat with the entire time the work was being done. Something was stuck in my motorcycle's ignition, and I had no idea what to do, my wife called around and got to Todd, she was able to text him, and get me set up for a Saturday afternoon. He came out and like a surgeon got little bits of metal that someone used to pick it. He was done in less than an hour, had a great sense of humour, and was very honest and candid. I have an old 1990 Dodge Ramcharger and the key I got for the rear hatch from the guy I bought it from did not work. I called Todd and told him what I had and he instantly knew the car and they type of key it needed. I brought the truck to him and showed him what I had and he immediately knew I had the wrong key. He looked at the lock and guessed at the key number I needed; after getting the lock cylinder out of the rear hatch and looking up the code on the lock, the key he guessed was the right key. He cut it for me and it worked like a charm! I was only there for about 30 minutes. Great service and great knowledge. Thanks for the help.

If I could give Todd 10 stars, I would! He made time at a busy time of the year to come fix the lock on my 2004 Honda Accord. No other locksmith in the area would even try to fix it. Because the lock was broken, my automatic locks weren't working and I had no other manual lock on my car, there was no other way for me to get into my car and so my car was not drive-able. He came to me to fix it for that reason. Even though it was an extremely difficult procedure to perform for various reasons (one of them being that my car battery was dead and he jump started it for me in order to perform the procedure), he did not charge me more than his original quote. He was friendly, easy to work with, and super knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone who needs a good locksmith. He also took time to let me know that from the look of the lock someone had tried to break into my car just so I would be aware of that. Talk about someone who cares! He is the best. :)

Ist ride on my new to me bike. I was showing off the ease of having a Givi trunk to put my stuff in when I was done for the day. The trunk automatically locked and the keys were in my safely stored leather. Todd showed up when he said he would and spent a couple hours working on the security lock. I had called the manufacturer for some guidance and he gave the job a low chance of succeeding. Todd won and the price was fair.

Todd came out on a day when Craig was sick and despite being overwhelmed with work he found time to replace my very broken entry door handle (and key it so it matched my key) so I wouldn't worry. Recently I had an issue with my Honda Odyssey's ignition, called Alcatraz Locksmith, spoke with Todd, he knew right away what the problem was, he was very knowledgeable about the problem I was having. Upon his visit, fixing the problem seem to come very easy to him, he did it efficient and in a timely manner. The cost was half the cost of other quotes that I had received. I would definitely use him in the future, and recommend him to anyone.

Amid the COVID-19, I called for an auto lockout. Initial response was very quick. After exchanging some information through texts, we spoke on the phone. That conversation was great. Very personable. After getting an outrageous quote from the Toyota dealer (tow vehicle 18 mi to dealership, labor charge of $135/hr for 2-3 hours and price of $45 per key), Todd met us that afternoon and made two transponder keys within 30 minutes! Alcatraz was able to do it for a very reasonable price and went directly to my vehicle, so no hassle with booking appts and getting the vehicle to the dealership. Such prompt service too. What can I say, Todd is great. I bought a vehicle (Hummer H3) that was sans Key Fobs. I ordered some replacements as well as a factory key, but found out I couldn't program the fobs without the use of a special GM Scan Tool. The dealer would have charged over $100 and took hours to get me out, but one call to Todd, and he got me set up within a matter of minutes. Literally. To boot, I was in a pinch and couldn't make it to the area he was in, so he agreed to meet me a few miles from my house the following day while he was on another job. The whole thing cost me a fraction of what I would have paid at the dealer and I was in and out in 5 minutes. The guy is pretty funny and quick-witted as well, so that makes it fun. Exceptional service. Responded immediately to my text for service. Came out the next day and repaired my door handle and also adjusted the door so it would no longer stick. I asked if he could get my bedroom door to latch and he fixed that too. I hadn't been able to get it to latch for five years and he fixed in less than 5 minutes. Reasonable price as well.

Todd (owner) was great at every level. Easy to get a hold of either by calling or texting. He told me everything that needed to be done with adding keys to my F350. I purchased the keys on Amazon and we set a time and date and voila 3 transponder keys, 1 being just like original 4 button key, all cut and programmed in minutes and all work perfect like my original key. Price was exceptional, dealer wanted $230 for 1 key and Alcatraz Locksmith was waaaay cheaper. Thanks for great service and workmanship.

Todd is an amazing person, he works magic with any type of vehicle you need! He helped my husband and I with our motercycle after the key broke off in the ignition. A big commercial shop was tring to charge us an arm and a leg however, Todd did it for 1/5th of the price in a quarter of the time. If this I ever need a locksmith...he will be the one I call.

Finally an honest locksmith. My key and remote were broken. Not knowing anything about locks but I have dealt with locksmiths in the past and their prices seem steep. I took my car to Todd and he ran through the typical test for the key chip and found the solution immediately. He explained to me what was needed and how I could save money. Awesome experience, very friendly knowledgable owner. I took my 2001 Ford Focus to him and it needed the keys reporgrammed ($120 at a dealership) and no one else I called had the correct equipment. He was friendly and cordial even though it was super hot out and our ignition had been duct taped up so we could still drive the car without the reprogrammed keys. It was $75 for everything and I was really happy and relieved we brought the car to him, he did a great job. If I ever need anything in the future I've got a guy!

We had our keys stolen along with an ID that listed our address, so needless to say, we were worried. Todd from Alcatraz Locksmith came quickly and not only re-keyed our door, he fixed the sticky deadbolt that had been giving us trouble for years! after spending almost an hour calling around on a late on a Friday (i mention because its right around closing time for most places) i was refereed to Alcatraz i gave him a call told him my problem which was i lost my key to my new motorcycle which not even the dealership i purchased it from could make me a copy of the key all i had was a key-tag. anyways he said he could make me a key from that (assuming i provide proof its my bike) which was a relief since i only was able to find 3 companies who could make my key one which wanted to charge to come out to my bike and would not let me just come to them at $150 and another company that despite being only 15 minutes away and calling them at 4:35 pm and they close at 5pm refused to help until they re open on Monday. so the offer of Saturday morning for $25 seamed very reasonable. when on the phone with him he asked some basic details about my bike and my key-tags number. Saturday morning i gave him a call to let him know i was coming and when i got to his van he had the key pre made and ready to go i couldn't believe it he showed me how the numbers line up from my key-tag to make the key but i still have my doubts but i asked him to make me another copy which he did for only $5 more (which is great) so when i got home i tried the key and it worked wonderfully (most new key copies kinda feel like there scratching the lock when you insert them but not this one it felt like the keys that came with the bike i was very impressed) i will make the 40 minute drive again for all my future key needs as i was very impressed (so much so that I'm posting a review here on Google and a copy on Yelp)

Lost the keys to our Dodge minivan, Alcatraz Locksmith came out and got me a replacement key fast. Also helped us out with an ignition problem we were having. So many people wanted well over 130 dollars when I already had the key cut from the dealership! The lowest price I got for just programming was 135! I called these guys and they said they'd get it done for 100 during weekend after hours! The guy was so nice and very professional. Highly recommended.

Todd is the real deal. Keys locked in my trunk. Toyota roadside assistance sent someone who didn’t know how to open my 2019 Camry, and they warped my driver door. Todd got the car opened, disabled alarm & opened the trunk in minutes. He also helped repair the door damage Toyota left

Todd with Alcatraz Locksmith was very professional and amazingly skilled at his job with comparable prices. We had originally scheduled an appointment for Sunday to have Alcatraz come out and key the ignition to our Suzuki Samurai after my son lost the only key. But within an hour of hanging up, Todd called back saying he had a cancellation and could be at our location in a few minutes. Within 15-20 min of Todd's arrival he had carved out two brand new keys and the Suzuki was on the road again. After I locked myself out of my condo, I was lucky enough to find Todd and Alcatraz Locksmith. He was able to open the door in a flash, re-keyed both of my doors (which I was planning on doing anyway as they had not been changed since I moved), and stuck to his estimate! That would have been enough in and of itself, but he's such a friendly and funny guy, I know who I'll be recommending to anyone I know who needs locksmithing in the future.

I have to say the problem I had on my f-150 was a nightmare. I caused the extra headaches on the trucks ignition myself after the key thingy would not turn the truck on(I messed it up). I had Todd come out cuz he offered the best quote to reprogram my keys. So he came out and did his job, but I had messed up the ignition antenna and Todd told me what I needed to do and I followed his directions and after that the truck was fixed. Ive been with out a key for my motorcycle for quite some time now. but Alcatraz locksmith co came out did an awesome job getting me new keys. a lot cheaper than drilling out my locks. plus the experience was pretty cool and actually enjoyable. ill definitely use Alcatraz every time in the future

Completed service to a satisfactory level. I was under the impression he was coming out to see what you got upon arrival, boom 69.00 arrival fee (before doing any work). So... i had to get something done, fixed front door latch 45.00, and re-keyed my gate 35.00. All said and done, I still have to buy a front door assembly, I'll be looking for a new locksmith to re-key my assembly eventually. I wish I went to Home Depot first. Additionally, he charged me for 2 rekeyed locks,I only have one lock on the gate he fixed. I'd definitely find someone else.

I called this company because so many of their reviews were so high and they clearly make an effort and care about their product (i.e.: they *have* an active Facebook page).

Whoever answered the phone when I called was anything but customer friendly. I am moving into a new house and need my security door and front door rekeyed. I asked for an estimate and was told it would be the service cost plus $10 per key hole. I don't know about you, but I don't memorize things like how many key holes are in a door I've unlocked once... when I asked a clarifying question to figure out a closer estimate, the tone of voice and abrupt reply were both very condescending and, again, short. I had to figure out what I don't know and ask several follow-up questions to PULL the information out of this guy. I will be finding a different company to do business with.

From my experience, my guess is that this company filters out their bad reviews and only posts their good ones. #speakingofintegrity #annoyed

I locked my keys in my home and had a Dr. appointment and that I should be done and back home by a certain time. They said no problem and about 20 minutes before the time I said and said they were on the way. They were there at the time I said, let me in to my home. I tried calling to get some pricing for a key to my vehicle. Whoever answered the phone was very pushy and insistent on getting my address immediately when I wanted some questions answered before continuing.
