Good god what a phenomenal contractor! Holtzman Home Improvement was an exceptional choice for my wife and our home. Everything was effortless, efficient, and overall pleasant. The owner, Brandon, worked with us to work out our ideas and turn them into reality, and even added a few touches of his own that we absolutely adore. We did a whole new kitchen and it turned out better than we ever could've imagined. Any time I had questions or concerns, every answer i received was clear and concise, from the Superintendent to the customer service. I found Holtzman via a recommendation from a work colleague and I will absolutely be recommending Holtzman to everyone I know!!

Watch out for this company during rush hour traffic. Whoever drives the black Chevy/GMC crew cab towing the Holtzman trailer will bully his way over from the slow lane to the HOV lane almost hitting other vehicles with the trailer.

We have a home in Arizona and another in Wisconsin, and like so many other snow birds, we spend half the year in Phoenix for the great weather! When we were hear last winter, we hired Hochuli Design & Remodeling Team to do their thing for us while we were gone. We had some conversations with Lorrie and basically told her to do her thing. She ran stuff by us, but her ideas and suggestions were right on and perfect.
And after the design stage, Scott takes over with the construction end.
They have a great working website that posts their calendar for the project, and pictures get posted every day of the work that was done that day, and the logs tell us what is going to be done tomorrow. It was fantastic to watch it happen from afar. And when we finally got back here December 1st, we were blown away by how beautiful it was. We couldn't be happier. Scott and Lorrie are fantastic.
Thank you for our beautiful winter home!

I was very impressed with the COVID precautions taken durning my project. Everyone that entered my home had mask on and was very kind and courteous Dion address all of my questions before and during the process. I am very please with the French door installation, the slabs of concrete to extend my patio, installation and wiring for a ceiling fan, along with removing a wall in my kitchen. I definitely look forward to working with D&D construction again when I am ready to do my bathrooms. Remodeling can be stressful especially during these times I am thankful that D&D construction was able to make me feel safe and gave me piece of mind during the entire process

After seeing a friend’s kitchen remodel and the high praise she gave Kyle and Capitol Mark my husband and I called and set up an appointment. We liked Mark from the beginning. He walked us through the kitchen remodel, explained what we needed to do. Kyle was always very professional, organized and punctual. A great communicator. His crew started demolition on time, cleaned up before they left. They took cabinets out, we had a gasoline put in, new cabinets, countertops, lighting, fans, countertops, sink and new appliances. The entire project was finished 3 days before it was scheduled to be completed. We were blown away! Who gets done on time?! Capitol Mark!
We were so impressed with the way the kitchen project went we hired Kyle and his team to remodel both of our bathrooms while we were back in Montana for the summer. That’s how much we trusted him and his crew. We face timed with Eric during the process. The project included taking a block window out, replacing with a smaller window, removing a tub, repositioning the shower, making the entry into the shower level for a wheel chair, tiling, new toilets, lighting, fan, countertops and cabinets. We flew down once to see the progress. Beautiful workmanship. .
It was a pleasure working with Mark and his team. He’s got a great group working for him. We’d hire them again.

No experience with them by service, but one of the vans representing the company was riding my tail on the curved on-ramp onto the freeway going way over speed limit and trying to swerve around me driving very close behind. Then proceeded to swerve around me on the freeway. Way to represent buddy. It's one thing from a random civilian but worse when you're dealing with it from a company vehicle. Not professional

Ace was extremely easy to work with to schedule work. They are very responsive and give quotes fast.I hired them to repair drywall and stucco, as well as fill in small damage to the walls. The work that was done was average. Part of the wall that was repaired is not textured to match the rest of the wall. I asked about this and he told me it was because the paint was still wet - the texture was not showing. Not true. It is just not textured in some spots. I can see the outline of where the original wall damage is located. There is also tan paint that dropped on the white base boards which I cannot get off, and I just noticed now that the patio has either paint or stucco repair material that is staining the patio - I cannot get it off. I also have been finding nails/dry wall nails in various areas of the floor and on the patio. When it came to making payment, I had a short window to do so as I had a meeting to attend via Zoom. I let him know this, and he said it would take 5 min to get the invoice ready. 10 minutes later, he was still out in his car - and I could see he was having a conversation on his phone. I needed to get the payment done, so I went out to the car. He continued to speak on his phone and did not roll down the window to let me know what was going on. Eventually he did, and said he was talking to the office about something else that had come up. I did not feel that my time was being respected. Just because people are working from home, does not mean we have total flexibility and can wait around while they conduct other business.Overall, I am glad the job is done - but lacking attention to detail, staining surfaces with paint, and leaving nails around the house when I have 3 dogs - not a stellar experience. It is $120 per hour, plus $75 fee just to show up. They also get paid $120 per hour while shopping for materials. It adds up! For this cost, it would be nice for service to be top notch.

My wife and I hired Rick to do a major renovation of our home (all bathrooms, garage, kitchen, laundry room, floors, etc.) in February of 2022. Our initial meetings with Rick in January 2022 were great. He was very responsive, friendly, and communicative. That was until we signed a contract with him and paid a $4000 permit retainer. As soon as we paid Rick the communication and proactiveness disappeared. To summarize the details below, it was a nightmare of 8 months just to get a permit approved by the city.
We were told he would have the initial plans ready for us within 2 weeks. It took over 6 weeks and multiple follow-ups just to get him to provide a draft of the remodel design which had numerous mistakes. The following day we sent an email with a list of all the mistakes that needed to be fixed including measurement corrections that I had to take myself.
3 weeks later and no word from Rick, I follow up to check and he indicates that he will be submitting the plans end of the week (April 12th). After many more follow-ups and involving the Refresh Renovations corporate we finally get him to submit the plans to the city on May 13th, 3+ months from signing the contract. Note, the contract indicated that the project would start in mid-April.
The plans that were submitted were riddled with issues and required THREE rounds of corrections! We finally got the permit approved at the beginning of October. Rick provided excuse after excuse throughout the whole process. I have worked with dozens of contractors in the past and Rick and Refresh Renovations were BY FAR THE WORST!
We canceled the build contract and have found much better professionals to complete the elements of the renovation.
